This went completely well! I hate that Apple doesnt make their computers user-friendly upgradable anymore. Thanks for it regardless! You’ve earned my sub!

Howdy! I followed the instructions to the letter and for some reason, I keep getting that its not readable by the computer and to either initialize, ignore or eject. Any advice as to what I could've done wrong? Thanks!!

Hey! Well, it doesn’t sound like you’ve done anything wrong, as the system knows that there’s a drive there. Did you put in a blank drive or do you have anything important on it?
If it’s blank, just click initialize, and it’ll take you to Disk Utility, where you can wipe and format the drive, and it’ll work like normal.
If you do have data on it, I’d recommend putting it back where it came from and make a backup of the important stuff, as you will need to wipe and reformat it to work right as I previously mentioned.
The pop up you get is just telling you “Hey, I see this drive, but I can’t talk to it and I don’t know what to do with it.”

One question, I read that the optical drive is only 3gbs of speed,
slower than the main bay that is 6gbs, install a second 2db hdd drive
and it works improperly is sata lll of 2tb, when trying to copy files to
that unit takes too much time, will it be because of the speed or
storage capacity of this second unit?

@@TechnologyNToys do you have any videos relating to how to install on a next hard drive

I don’t have one, I haven’t found time to comfortably fit a video about it into my content schedule. But this video from 9to5Mac goes over it pretty well. Instead of making a partition on the macOS drive, just choose the drive you want windows on: ua-cam.com/video/Hmm9Q-T0oTo/v-deo.html

can't believe you put a spinning drive in there.

Rest assured they have both been replaced with SSDs since this video was made. I was a high schooler at the time with no job, no money, and no SSDs lol

@@TechnologyNToys Yes that would explain it. I am lucky I have a stock of 500GB EVO drives that I got for free.
