I have two 100 watt Sunpower flexible solar panels in the cap of my pick-up truck.
I have heavy duty outdoor velcro and i have nof removed the panels going on two years now.
I have driven over 10,000 miles with them on my truck and they dont move.

Very nice and neat setup. However i'm not a fan of the flexible panels for many reasons. Would really like to see the finished solar system. Greetings from Jamaica.

What adhesive did you end up using? And can you give us an update as to how well it’s holding up at high speed please

Sikaflex adhesive (high quality and waterproof). It’s been working beautifully with no issues. The solar panels are definitely in there and not going anywhere. Good luck! :)

I’d like to know the power output your getting
I used these on my Ducati van and they are not out putting anything close to the advertised power

Hey, Buck, I hope to eventually have a more clear answer with continuous data to look at. I don’t have enough time out of the driveway to give you a clear answer. But I can say we are getting the volts and amps that match up with the way we have them wired in series-parallel on bright and sunny days out of the driveway. Up
To 40 volts and 10 amps - we have 4 100watt panels wired in series-parallel. I also have the charge controller charging slower because I am mostly in “storage mode” as I build.
I would double check your wiring between the panels and see if there’s anything out of wack. Also heard that if you are battling shady spots, parallel wiring will be better than series wiring.

What's the power output in full son ??

It depends on how you wire the panels. Never expect the full amount due to the nature of solar panels not being 100% efficient, but we are wired in series-parallel hoping for up to 40 V and 10 amps. And since we are working on it we are parked between two houses but have been getting good results so far and feel that the RENOGY panels are doing their job. - Aidan

Use 3M Windshield adhesive. That stuff is 90x stronger then Silicone or any old sealant technology they used 80 years ago...

Now with the new CIGS panels, just peel and stick. Super easy.

Hope I am never driving behind them on the highway. Should have at least a couple permanent screws to the roof.
