lovely tutotial thanks for that. Was wondering if I was so put that on a cake would I need to put a dowl under the topper and through the cake? in order to get it more stadable.
+Hoda Ibrahim hiya, i guess it would depend on the stability of the cake. my cakes are mainly ganache + fondant and this is definitely strong enough to support the weight of these toppers. thanks for asking!
Hi Mardie. I really love your banana creations. I’m going to try and give them a go myself. 😳 I’m just wondering if you could please give me the weight you used for the main body of the bananas. Thanks in advance. ☺️
what size is your colour shaper, if you know. I see they come in sets of 5 at Artorama (which I have gift card for) but I see firm and soft for sizes 0 up to 6 and 16. Thanks!
I have a question- how do you stop your fondant figurines from cracking? I want to do this for my sons birthday but don’t want to have to repair them. Any advice appreciated 😊
hi sorry for the delay in responding. its a bit of a balance between using tylose to dry your fondant out and shortening to moisten it up again if needed. if your figurines crack, the fondant is too dry; too much tylose added.
I’d like to see you make a bubble guppie, we had issues because their heads are so large compared to their bodies. any suggestions? we wound up using them on the cake layers instead of the top so that we could pin the heads into the cake.
+Melissa Sharma sorry again! i would suggest using a foam ball for the head and covering with fondant/gumpaste. thanks for the suggestion i think i will give them a go!
