Nobody in youtube can give the ans that at no load condition in series generator, field current is zero, then how the no load curve develops without field current?
No load series generator means open circuited. If you rotate the armature of open circuit series generator then no current flows in field winding so no Emf generated but actually field winding it's self has some residual flux. It will be created because of construction. This coil has default flux but it is small flux. While armature cutting this flux some emf is generated. But after that it will not generate because flux not increasing. Now when you put the small load immediately current starts flowing through arm, field, load. If field current increases then flux increases then emf increases again field current increases so on.... This happens because of series connection. Due to this heavy current machine Or load will damage. So everyone suggest that for series generator apply max load then series current controls.
