Hoping it might help 😊 :
1/ Never EVER pour the resin directly from the bottle if you want to avoid air bubbles, unless you always store it upside down 😅
Recommended tip : pour your resin in a little silicon container, then use a hot gun over it to get the bubbles up to the surface, and let it cool down (under something dark and opaque of course).
2/ Pay attention to your resin viscosity. The more liquid, the more likely to spill everywhere (that's why using the resin cold matters).
3/ Applying a thin coat before you assemble the mold (and eventually flash-curing it once it's assembled) can save time and help to dodge nerve breaks 😂
With intricate mold designs, putting a thin layer of resin in the places where it can be difficult for it to reach -like these little jar necks- definitely helps with the final form integrity.
4/ Ensuring all the parts perfectly fit together, then using rubber bands to secure them in place is the best way to prevent leakage (you can also wrap the whole thing in cling paper for doubled security).
5/ Never start with filling more than 2/3 of the mold. By putting the last piece that allows the form to be hollow, you can see through and check if there's enough or not. If more is needed, add more, few drops at a time.
Little tip : add a mark on the mold once you've found the right amount to make further uses easier.
6/ This design is everything but stupid :
Let's say that you want to use the jar not as a jam container, but as a little display for a little Christmas tree to turn it into a cute holiday spirit charm.
Having the bottom opened allows you to put in this little tree that would have never fit through the top opening.
7/ To complete the jar, put the bottom part on a silicon mat or a piece of tape, put the jar on as if it was a lid/glass dome, then, with a seringe, delicately pour in some resin to fill the gap and connect the bottom to the rest. Cure under UV light and it's done.
Good luck and a joyful creative journey to y'all 💪😉
Wow thank you so much! This is such a thorough explanation with so many tips! I took a screen shot and will have it printed so I can go back and reference every time I use resin 🩷
Hello my dear friend ❤️❤❤
Thank you for the great video 👍
Have a nice evening, Peace and kindness ❣️🙏🙏
Hello from your ukrainian friend Inna 💛💙
Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing these cute mini jar crafts. You have many useful tips 🥰👍🏼
Thanks so much 😊
The first lot of jars are gorgeous. As for the hexagon moulds?? They are the weirdest, most over- complicated moulds I have seen. I really don't think the results were anything to do with your technique, it seems more like a design fault with the moulds. You still managed to get a decent end result though, which proves your skills. Thank you for sharing x ❤
Thank you so much! So the longest time I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried making them another time and it still would work. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you for this I have a love hate relationship with resin but after watching this I will give it another go I also subscribed as I find you easy to follow.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I’m glad that my video is easy to follow. I’m with you on the love hate relationship with resin
Thanks for sharing. I just bought some molds and will think about your advice. 🥰
You are most welcome! I hope the jar molds turn out ok😊
It’s nothing you did wrong , the exact same thing happened to me. It’s actually the way the mold is made. Never will I waste my money on those kind of molds. The other molds are great and so easy to use. The results are fantastic. Just wanted you to know your not alone 😊
I’m so glad it’s not just me! I kept trying to make them work but not a single jar turned out nice
Same here. It's a shame I bought a lot of them in various shape but not one of them worked

I tried using a mold that has three ugh.. thought I was losing my mind. Thank you for making this video!!
It was driving me crazy too 😂 I’m glad it’s not just me 👍
hello and congratulations for your beautiful creations. I would like to make wine bottles with hollow interiors, and then fill them with liquid that simulates wine. Are there molds for this type of bottle? How do you recommend me to proceed? 🙏🏻
I'll diffidently give this a go.
Yes! 👏✨
These look great!
I bought several multi piece jar molds. I haven't tried them yet, but I've got a bad feeling!
Thank you! I hope you have better luck than me and figure out how to use those molds 🤞
This video was extremely helpful, thank you. Do you have a link for the bottle with the tiny needle applicator to reach the small nooks and crannies as demonstrated in your video? Thank you.
Hola, me gustan muchooo las miniaturas, y donde se compran esos moldes?
I’ve tried all those molds and never had any luck with any. That resin from Michael’s must’ve changed their formula because when I bought it, it would stay sticky no matter how much I cured it. 😢 Still hunting for the holy grail of mini jars…
I also hate this kind of molds! But the other jars look cute! The bigger one for candy jars!
Those jars are really tricky but glad the other ones worked 😊
Maybe try making the molds out of clay or something....transferring the silicome molds into the clay!
That is such a great idea!! The clay will be more sturdy than silicone 🙌 thank you for the tip 😊✨
I hope you'reusing a respirator while doing this. Resin fumes are very toxic
Yes I am! I also have all the windows open too. I like working with resin but hate how toxic it is
Lol, I had to chuckle at the hexagon jars. Not because of anything you did at all, but because I have the round jar version of this mold and I despise it. I actually own a lot of the molds by Floree (the company that makes this mold) and love most of their 2 part molds. I especially love their food molds. And there is a learning curve with their molds. You will waste a lot of resin because there will always be spillage. Toenail Clippers work great for trimming off the excess. But these jar molds are horrible! I have never been able to get them to work well. I do not understand why they made them upside down for one thing. Why make it so that they are open at the bottom? Just stupid. And you are correct. The bottoms do not fit! And the jar lids do not fit either! Such a stupid design.
