- Celebrating 40 Incredible Years!
The Office of Alumni Relations, the Endowment Office, and the Alumni Association organised the Ruby Reunion for the batch of 1980. It was a celebration of four decades of shared experiences, accomplishments, and enduring connections!
Although time has passed since the batch of 1980 graduated, the spirit of unity and friendship remains strong. The much-anticipated 40th-year reunion, initially slated for 2020, was delayed due to the pandemic, but the bond among the alumni from the Batch of 1980 is unwavering. The batch also generously contributed INR 1.5 Crores to the institute for promoting excellence and bringing in the most advanced pedagogy in teaching.

Hats off to the ladies who cracked IIT when education of a girl was considered a taboo . Despite such tremendous difficulties they did the unthinkable !

Truly surprising. Engineers were extremely rare and women in engineering even scarce. Engineering branches must have been very few limited to mechanical, electrical, civil and chemical mostly areas where women hardly opt for.
Now i lived in russia now. But i want to tell you my grandfather was graduate from iit delhi in 1967😁😁😁

toppers don't do anything in life bolne wale kahan pe hai? inki average monthly salary mai backbenchers ki average yearly salary aa jayegi...
These aren't toppers. They're people who worked hard enough to reach itt. Understand the difference. Iit entrance doesn't demand you to be topper in your school, college,tuition,coaching anywhere it demands you to work hard and attain a rank which lands you into any iit. These people did go well in their life while it's not for everyone. They're all earning probably a lot but again it's 'probable'. Speaking in English isn't an accomplishment if that fascinates you. These people are well behaved and fun to watch, they have a vivacious personality this is why it influences us so much to think that they must be out of the box. Pay attention it took them more than 40 yrs, the experiences, the odds and evens have made them into the person they seem to us. It must be a different thing in 1980s because lack of facilities, coaching institutes and guidance and lack of competition as well. And in today's date, it's totally different thing every iitian doesn't end up good, many of them hold youtube channels as well which may or may not contribute anything. Trust me i have seen many who are just lying in their rooms because they developed nothing or just worked hard to get into one but aren't able to sustain further due to their brain's capacity or rotting techniques they did while under preparation.
