on these Memoir joints, I just press like immediately, because all them are at least likeable, i can listen for an hour and not feel compelled to switch to something else. engaging yet unobtrusive- dark yet unthreatening.-repetitive but not tedious-relentless yet not tiresome: all Memoir's are like this. Very reliable source for modern electronic music; like an aural art gallery. 20 minutes in now, this one is fantastic.
I dont know if anyone feels this way but i want to express that i was a bit restless during the first three tracks and around the 15:40 mark i just fell into a silence, a calm washed over me and i was just floating in the music. A lot of hypnus records artists seem to have that effect. Where you have to literally be patient and let your body and mind harmonize and suddenly theres a moment where you feel transported and along for the ride. Its like a dream ,it starts with no entry or exit, no premise, youre bang in the middle of it and the entire scene is being played as if you went through everything upto then. Luigi tozzi had that effect when i first heard him, claudio, and now svarog. I feel like my ears are being conditioned and every time i seem to explore and realize more depth in the tracks. Thanks Svarog for this one. p.s. Plz recommend artists like this one ,id love to take a few more of these aural journeys.
