As a white teacher who works at a school with a large black population, thank you for making this so easy to understand. I always want to be able to help my kids with anything they might struggle with even if it isn’t something I do personally.
My 13 year old came in with his Durag asking me how to put it on. I Googled "How to...." The way you explained this was VERY easy to follow and understand. You articulate very well and did an EXCELLENT job explaining it so that ANYONE, regardless of Race, can follow. Thank you! 👍🏾
Brotha, as a mixed race kid, I can't tell you how much this video helped me to not only learn how to correctly apply & tie my Durag right, but also understanding the process, its effectiveness and some smooth tricks with keeping my skin smooth, right into a flawless hairline!.... THANK YOU SO MUCH BRUH!.... 👍🏼👍🏼
I'm just a old mom in Pa, but my 13 yr old son has football practice today he brings me a durag to put on him. I had no idea what 2 do w it. Lol He was actually happy with the results...which means this was an awesome tutorial and easy 2 follow. If you have teens, you know they aren't easy 2 please! So, thank you!!
Thank you for a well done production. I tried the cap durags but they were too tight and hurt my head. I was about to give up until I saw this. You are articulate and just plain on target.
I'm a white guy who grew up in the suburbs, but today my coworker braided my hair into cornrose. She worked really hard on them so when she told me i needed a durag to keep the braids from getting frizzy, I stopped and got one. Thanks for helping out. My life has taken a turn I could not have predicted.
Brother, you're a life saver! I'm 37 years old and, believe it or not, put on braids for the first time this week. I was looking for a tutorial on how to properly tie a durag and yours is perfect! Thank you and much love from Brazil! ✊🏾🤎
Yo is this also for braids? Bc he said, that all should be flat under the durag. I just search for a method to cover my braids over night so can you recommend using a durag?✌🏽
Thank you for making this quick and simple. I ain’t never worn a durag as I was one of them kids running around looking wild for 25 years of my life aside from getting a fresh cut at the barber shop. Nothing like good old UA-cam University to help and I’m glad I landed here. I’ll be back tomorrow when I have to tie it again.
Just got cornrows for the first time and man I love it never thought I’d look good with them. you helped me figure out how to make the shit straight lmao and what side to use 😂
As a girl with long hair that has to wear a PAPR suit at work, these are the thing for keeping me from looking like a Russ Troll when I take my top off. Thanks for the instructions!
this was super helpful. I'm white as fuck so I've got nobody to teach me ... I've got same hair as Ragnar from Vikings (im Scottish) and my hair always gets fucked up when i sleep.
This was the most helpful and simple tutorial on putting a Durag. It was kind of complicated and hard to keep the tie flat. But if it becomes a hassle for me to put it on every time I'll just use a Silk pillow. Also, I don't know if this is also normal but when I'm done part of my bushy hair from my sidelines show and isn't covered on the side so I don't know if it's normal or not.
Yea dat normal cuz realistic bro when u doin waves n shit or honestly any haircut unless u trying keep ur lamchops then when u get a line up they should cut that part off
As an Asian woman in my 40s with greying hair I am starting to dye my hair with organic henna and indigo powder to avoid toxic chemicals in conventional hair dyes. I need a way to keep the dried henna paste in my hair overnight since the longer you leave it in the longer the color lasts. A durag seems like the perfect solution. Thank you for the helpful video!
Preciate this, I generally knew how to tie it, but it kept either falling off in my sleep or leaving a line like you said. The tie was correct, just a lot of little errors that I didn't realize added up.
my son, he’s always struggled with putting on his durag. He’s 14 every night. He walks into my room asking me to tie for so I showed him this video and and every day he thinks me.❤❤
Aye bro this was a great video for 1 but I must say you had me dying with the whole “nice and flat” & “so you don’t get no lines in your head” thing😂😂😂😂🔥🔥
Appreciate the help bro, im white and i got alopecia during lockdown at 26, id rather people call me a wigga or a beg and laugh at me for wearing a durag rather than laugh at me for being bald cah ill end up in pen. So thanks for the vid ill watch it every time i need help ❤️
Appreciate the video brother. Never really wore one before. I’m mixed but my mamas white and I grew up with her lol she ain’t never showed me how to wear a durag 😭 I love my mom though bless her forever Lord Amen 🙏🏼 bless you too broskie. Not tryna look stupid
Thanks for this video. I wear durags because I am balding. So, my purpose is somewhat different. In my neck of the woods, some people have different connotations and associate durags with unfortunate situations. May I interview you on the subject matter in the near future, to inform readers of this self-care method? Thanks in advance.
I really appreciate the video fam! I've been rocking my hair in curls for the past 6 years and I'm getting ready to return to waves. This video was a God send! Happy New Year!
