At 18 his home town was invaded by Germany and he was forced to fight for them until a German retreat where a leaflet drop from the Polish Free Army detailed a rendezvous point so he managed to escape the German army and later fight against them in Monte Cassino. At the end of the war Poland was Russian-occupied so he never returned home and settled in the UK instead.

They seem to be taken from his writings, his speeches and interviews he gave at the time. I've looked up a few of the sentences that I thought might be suspect and have discovered that yes, Hitler did say or write those phrases, with some allowances for variation in translation.
