I think what I love most about the Seven is the way the actors play them like they were actually in the west: - Washington’s character Sam Chisholm honours real-life African-American bounty hunter Bass Reeves, who has an impressive arrest record and history with law enforcement, while also giving Jamie Fox’s casting as Django a similar yet different run for his money; - Pratt gleefully displays Joshua Faraday as the comic relief of the Seven but proves to be a valuable asset when needed, as well as being someone who never misses an opportunity to “clear the air” from the tension with jokes or tricks; - Hawke’s acting as Goodnight “Goody” Robicheaux gives the audience sympathy towards what soldiers with PTSD experience (a primary example being the Seven’s first fight together) and he would later show that overcoming it is not impossible (as seen in the final fight) while he also “talks like a man whose seen action” and knows what killing will do to someone both mentally and psychologically; - Lee and Sensmeier (who play Billy Rocks and Red Harvest, respectively) bring a whole new meaning to “actions speak louder than words” and “silent but deadly” as both characters rarely speak but are deadly in a fight, whether it’s close combat with knives or a firefight from short/long range; - D’Onofrio’s role as Jack Horne showcases that a “religious softie” is underneath his larger than life mountain man appearance, which the actor receives the most praise for bringing to life whenever he speaks; - Garcia-Rulfo’s approach as Vasquez is well-received for not just the Mexican outlaw stereotype, but for hoe he makes the “shoot ‘em up” scenes you would see in a western film look so cinematic and cool-looking. Who else agrees? If you disagree, tell me why.
I will not allign myself with your belifs YOU ARE WRONG HERE IS WHY>>>>> Washington's portrayal of Sam Chisholm: While it's true that Denzel Washington's character, Sam Chisholm, can be seen as an homage to real-life African-American bounty hunter Bass Reeves, some viewers may have different interpretations of the character's motivations and depth. Some might argue that the character could have been further developed to explore his backstory and personal journey. Pratt as Joshua Faraday: Chris Pratt's performance as the comic relief in the group is certainly entertaining, but some critics and viewers may argue that his character's humor occasionally feels out of place in a serious western setting. Different audiences might have varying opinions on the balance between comedy and drama in his portrayal. Hawke's Goodnight Robicheaux: While you praised Ethan Hawke's portrayal of a character with PTSD, some viewers might have wanted to see even more exploration of this aspect of his character's personality. Different people may have different expectations for character development and resolution. Lee and Sensmeier as Billy Rocks and Red Harvest: Their silent but deadly personas are indeed impressive, but some viewers may have wanted more dialogue or backstory for these characters to fully connect with them on an emotional level. The level of character development can be subjective. D'Onofrio as Jack Horne: While Vincent D'Onofrio's performance as Jack Horne received praise, some viewers might argue that the character's speech patterns and behavior were too exaggerated or unrealistic, bordering on caricature. Garcia-Rulfo as Vasquez: While you appreciated Manuel Garcia-Rulfo's approach to the character, others might argue that Vasquez's portrayal still somewhat adheres to the Mexican outlaw stereotype, and they may have expected a more nuanced representation. In the end, opinions about performances in film are highly subjective. What resonates with one viewer may not resonate with another. *YOU LEFT THE BEST PART OFF!* G: This reminds me of what my daddy used to say B: what's that goody? B: What?? G: Well, my daddy used to say a lot of things, you know. 😂🤣😂
The acting was great in this. Vincent D'onofrio was amazing and so was Ethan Hawke. I would have loved a sequel, but they get killed. Would loved to have see their characters again.
The same thing happened in the original, but a great sequel was still made, so I'd love to see another one that takes place after this one. Maybe one from the surviving native american's point of view or the other two who survived.
According to me the funniest scene is when Billy Rocks teaches the villagers to stab, but his performance is so good that the villagers just leave cause they has no hope to reach his level
The funniest part for me is when ethan hawke said this reminds me of something my father told me. His buddy asked him what is it he goes. I don’t know. My father told me a lot of things.
Farraday is my favorite character in this movie. I just don't realize how a guy with a "mouth" like he`s has survived that long. This explains his phenomenal shooting skills. Well, until last moment, "so far so good!" ;)
I watched this again with my grandpa last night. When Faraday trying to smoke cigarettes next to the Gatling gun wagon my grandpa said Faraday is a trickster, he'll have his way to deal with that Gatling gun.
This movie is so underrated I don't understand why It didn't do good in the movie theaters aside from too many bullshit critics and people that aren't into western films. Thing is they don't understand good acting fuck them this was a great movie
Part of the problem is it has nothing on the original film. It blows this out of the water, even though this is a good movie...the original is legendary and frankly impossible to outdo.
"I believe that bear is wearing people's clothes." "A warrant for what? Killin' a man with a hairpin?" "Her name is Ethel, and you will show her some goddamn respect." "I've always been lucky with the one-eyed jacks." This is why I love Chris Pratt. His wit is legendary.
They missed putting that line!!! How could you leave that out?! :) "I believe that BEAR was wearing PEOPLES clothes.." Jack Horn was such an interesting character.
The only thing that was disappointing about this movie was that they never delved deeper into the back stories of the characters. We got tastes, but I would have loved a flashback of Goodnights time in the army
Love this movie, and the humor was a large part of it! I just wish they hadn't killed most of the cast off until the sequel. Yes, I know that that happened in the original film...but these characters were so much more interesting than the supporting characters of that film!
Oh fuck sake the scene where chris pratt trolls the mexican is for me the funniest shit in any movie ever, i die of laughter everytime i see it.. "olé muchacho.." LOOOOOOL!
Absolutely enjoyable movie! I like the mix between drama, action and comedy. The story is nothing special but the variety of actors and movie characters in combination with the old west feeling and a big bunch of little jokes makes this movie one of my favourites. *careful, personal opinion*
The scene where Red Harvest says something like "white man food is fit for dogs" cracked me up, because what he really said (in the actor's native Tlingit language) translates to "white woman stinky butt".
Chris Pratt - loved by mostly ALL - reminds me of the also beloved James Garner. DE-LIGHT-FULL! Fun character in a refreshing storyline from long ago.... thanks for the remake!
I didn't know that Antoine Fuqua was such an AWESOME director - WHAT A MOVIE, DAMMIT!! :D TRIPLE AWESOME! ...one HELL of a cast - I particularly liked Ethan Hawke in the role of that ...kinda..."PTSD"-stricken "civil war sharp-shooter" and DENZEL WASHINGTON - DAMN! - is on one of his TOP performances here - EVER!...

5:00 "they shouldve hit something"...uhm well they did sir...they hit the grass, air, rocks, soil thats a lot if you ask me😂......6:16 this scene is always making me laugh so damn heard😂
You missed the part where some lady stitches up the the guy with the grey beards jacket and the Mexican dude says "she did some poking and stitching for you, maybe you should return the favor". That part was pretty funny in my opinion.

Million ways to die in the west was gold as fuck

Exactly.
For a remake it did good
"so far so good!" that was the funniest joke in this movie🤣
man, this movie is so underappreciated ;-; Chris Pratt is absolute gold
True but Ethan Hawk was so good too!
@@rhondaalbert6636 YESSSS
its amazing, i watched it many times, i love the guys' relationship with each other, each has his own personality but they all respect each other
Only Chris Pratt huh lol everyone was gold! How about Denzel pulling off black western. Or Ethan hawk dude you gotta hate what you kill lol
I think it's one of the best modern Western movies made.

“I do believe that bear was wearing people’s clothes”
Best line in the movie
Between that and jack horne "he asked if you'd quit staring at his hairline " " sure soon as he quits licking his lips at mine"
" He's a legend! Or is that all you are? "
I swear that line hits so hard-
“This reminds me of what my daddy used to say.”
“What did your daddy used to say?”
“Well, my daddy used to say a lot of things, you know.”
that's the scene I was looking for. Ethan Hawk is a funny dude.
I don’t know why but because of how hard they laughed I feel like it might have been a mistake 😂 like a blooper
Damn how they gonna leave out the Pratt line of “I believe that bear was wearing people clothes” when he met big guy 😂😂😂
Funniest moments? You forgot "That bear was wearing people clothes."
I thought, what a waste of time. Trying to remake a classic western. It will never be as good! I was wrong! Excellent movie, great cast.
Oh good we got a Mexican. Ooooh yippie yippie andaleeee.. ooooh!....ORALE MUCHACHO.
The Mexican was my favorite character!
😂😂😂😍
I'm soo late...I just seen this movie and fell in love!!! Beautiful production
It's okay I've watched it twice this week and I'm just obsessed
"Cuz you got two guns?"
Boom, roasted.
"Statistically speaking, they shoulda' hit somethin!" LOL
statistically speaking, 98% of this damn movie's got funny moments. lmao ;-)
and of course he said "fire when ready" and then shouts it when they hesitate.
damn it, Robicheaux, you SAID "when ready" and they weren't ready! -__-
movie was all talk with crap fight scenes
"Je-sus wept!"
Lightray110 The shoot outs were pretty sweet
You forgot the 'You're real?!? I thought I dreamt up a leprechaun!" bit. THAT was the funniest moment in the movie :P
*YOU LEFT THE BEST PART OFF!*
G: This reminds me of what my daddy used to say
B: what's that goody?
B: What??
G: Well, my daddy used to say a lot of things, you know.
😂🤣😂
A sad scene but a fun one at the same time tbh
Oh good we got a Mexican! 3:06 😂😂
Love Vincent D'Onofrio in this. "I'll sez a l'il prayer fer ya. A l'il prayer."
I feel like that should be in a Bad Lip Reading video XD
The acting was great in this. Vincent D'onofrio was amazing and so was Ethan Hawke. I would have loved a sequel, but they get killed. Would loved to have see their characters again.
The same thing happened in the original, but a great sequel was still made, so I'd love to see another one that takes place after this one. Maybe one from the surviving native american's point of view or the other two who survived.
Hell. Turn it into a miniseries prequel and we can see all their backstories.
'Go home, polish your rifles,. Maybe the glint will scare them off '. LOL 😂😂
"The pigeon brothers weren't famous very long" I died xD😂🍺😂
"oh good we got a Mexican" I cant stop laughing at that line lol
According to me the funniest scene is when Billy Rocks teaches the villagers to stab, but his performance is so good that the villagers just leave cause they has no hope to reach his level
This many men. Miss that many targets... twice? 😂😂😂😂
"Statistically speaking, they should've hit something"😂😂
the poker-playing gunslinger: "statistically speaking they shoulda hit something"
The funniest part for me is when ethan hawke said this reminds me of something my father told me.
His buddy asked him what is it he goes. I don’t know. My father told me a lot of things.
Vincent D'Onofrio was awesome in this movie! "The Pigeon brothers weren't famous very long." Haha! Mr. Horne made short work of them, indeed.
You miss the part that Chris Pratt's character says "You will be murdered by the world greatest lover". Funniest line in the moive
my fav line in the movie! it fits faraday as a character a lot
My class and I saw this for my 11th birthday. After the first scene my mom was mortified and couldn’t believe that she’d brought us to it.
great mom😀 my let me watch Robo Cop
This movie is so underrated I don't understand why It didn't do good in the movie theaters aside from too many bullshit critics and people that aren't into western films. Thing is they don't understand good acting fuck them this was a great movie

"Polish your rifles maybe the glint'll scare' em off"
Fraday to the villagers
At least that dude got to see a sweet magic trick before he died.
I feel so bad for the guy.
"I have 3 maria!!" 😕.. 😂😂😂
Just watched this with my grandpa and it really reminded me of a D&D Party
You left out Chris Pratt's best line: "I think that bear was wearing people clothes"
"I believe that bear is wearing people's clothes."
"A warrant for what? Killin' a man with a hairpin?"
"Her name is Ethel, and you will show her some goddamn respect."
"I've always been lucky with the one-eyed jacks."
This is why I love Chris Pratt. His wit is legendary.
It's Maria you can disrespect
don't tell Ethel about Maria
... or at least, the guy who wrote his lines.
RIP Faraday, you made good on your horse.
Everyone was so good in this movie. I loved it!
"That bear was wearing people's clothes"
How could u leave that part out!!
They missed putting that line!!! How could you leave that out?! :)
"I believe that BEAR was wearing PEOPLES clothes.."
Jack Horn was such an interesting character.
The only thing that was disappointing about this movie was that they never delved deeper into the back stories of the characters. We got tastes, but I would have loved a flashback of Goodnights time in the army
Chris Pratt was a beast in this...Fuqua, as usual, did a killer job too!
Faradays death was the most epic scene in the whole movie. GOD i loved the way he totally pranked 'em Cx
Queen Anti it’s a prank broooo!!!!!
"So far so good" was fucking awesome.
That giggling made it even better.
Billy is probably my favourite, I love that in the "Wild West", where guns are so popular, he uses knives.
Faraday is the true hero in this movie despite his many shortcomings
Love this movie, and the humor was a large part of it! I just wish they hadn't killed most of the cast off until the sequel. Yes, I know that that happened in the original film...but these characters were so much more interesting than the supporting characters of that film!
9:48 Call an ambulance, call an ambulance!
9:56 bUt NoT fOr Me
(I know he dies but it just gives off the same energy)
"And you'll be murdered. By the world's greatest lover"
-Chris Pratt
How can that line not be included
CHRIS: wait you got Maria
Mexican: I’ve got three Maria’s
😂😂😂😂🤣😂
You missed the moment that they found out Red Harvest speaks English! I nearly fkn pissed myself at that
Ikr how dare they leave out that scene, especially when Vincent D'inofrio calls Red Harvest a little shit
TVBnine Lol I passed out then and there
3:54 -- Yeh, but you missed Chris Pratt going, "That bear was wearing HUMAN clothes..."
"the two gun kid, hehe"
This one and another movie called The Hateful Eight are one of my best classic movies
Agreed!!!💯💯💯
Pfft, the ridiculous 6 is the best. 😂
Her name is Ethel, and you will show her some god dam respect. It's Maria you can disrespect. Don't tell Ethel about Maria. Love that part.
That one brother has the most magnificent mustache.
Would you like to see another magic trick?
3:07 Cris bullies the mexican
Idk why but the music in the background in this scene is so satisfying an nostalgic
Oh fuck sake the scene where chris pratt trolls the mexican is for me the funniest shit in any movie ever, i die of laughter everytime i see it.. "olé muchacho.." LOOOOOOL!
The Mastema same for me Lmao... Chris Pratt is the best always a bit of humor in even the most seriousness of times and it flows perfectly
"she did a lil poking & sticking for you maybe you should return the favor aye?" That should've been on here😂
Never seen or heard of this movie i need to definitely watch this! Red dead 2 got me watching westerns lol
Glad I’m not the only one playing RDR2 for the first time in 2020.
@@ToastPJ haha me too
This is a great western, for more try The Good the Bad and the Ugly, or movies with Clint Eastwood. One of the greatest cowboys since John Wayne.
@@sixthmoonx
The shootist marks the end of an era for westerns
@@sixthmoonx
Eastwood did nothing to popularize it like John Wayne,
John Wayne until his death kept on acting in western films
2:40 Faraday and Billy 🤣🤣
I hope to one day say to a man who steps to me. “I’ll say a prayer for you. A little prayer.”
I fucking lost it when Chris Prat is telling the story of his friend falling from a 5 story building
I always been lucky with One Eyed Jacks. xD
M. MazeKDS Jacksepticeye has one eye in his username. One eye in his septic eye Sam. Jacksepticeye is one eyed Jack confirmed XD
And the funny thing is his name is “One Eyed Lucas”
it's rats in there 🤣 0:44
At least the brother died laughing
Oh god I love this movie. I actually cried when Billy, Goodnight and Josh died 😩
