- Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson shows hustle and a good deal of borderline insanity as the Rebels come back to beat Vanderbilt on the road. Jefferson hits the three at the end of regulation to send it to OT. 1-16-13

God I loved watching this dude he was so damn exciting
If you can play you can talk
Talk, or be a psychopath? There's a reason (outside of him being extremely one dimensional And being a shit poor defender) he's playing in Iraq
*Hater Alert*
+Jlynn Thompson yeah for real
+Jlynn Thompson nope. Not hating. Just speaking the truth. He had issues on and off the court and that is why he is playing "pro" basketball in Iraq. Don't know how I'm hating at all...
+Theevilrhino he ain't a psychopath though...
I actually like this guy. Not only is he a great player with his agility and proficient shooting ability, but he also very passionate about what he's doing, which is essential for a college athlete
Actually what's essential for a college athlete is good education and a scholarship. What's essential for ANY athlete is passion, no matter what level you're on.
***** armenian
TheBBallEnthusiast Sorry man, but you're living in the past. Do you really think the top talent, regardless of the sport, really cares about their education. Hell, the school doesn't really care either. They care about the tens of millions of dollars that will flow into their school as a result of their elite athletes. Do you really think that Texas A&M or Manziel ever cared about education when it came to his recruitment? And the athlete cares about the tens of millions of dollars that will flow into their bank account at the next level as a result of their college exposure
***** is ur brother sevag?
God bless
Rip Dai-jon Parker🕊. I miss you my boy. Going back to our aau days you kept that energy always rapping& smiling . You put me on to alot songs 🎵
he's kinda crazy but you can tell he's always 100% for winning the game and playing his hardest
I dont understand why everyone is bagging on him and hating oh him. Yes, he does have a temper issue, but its not like hes spitting on peoples faces and starting fights. He plays with extreme passion and after making a big play he taunts the crowd which assumingly has been on his ass all game. He should obviously take it down a notch, but I have no problem in his style of play
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot my password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Xavier Tucker Instablaster :)
@Jedidiah Kayson thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Jedidiah Kayson it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
@Xavier Tucker you are welcome xD
Haters gonna hate... but the dude could ball.
+James Lill Like what was said haters gonna hate you lame smh
+Tre Buckets 38% is not good, its not hate its the truth, no team is going to win games consistently if they shoot 38%
+The Answer 38% is a very good from 3. To score the same amount of points shooting 2 you would have to shot 57%, which is very good.
Gregory Hanger from 3. This guy was 39% from 2
+The Answer I think it's funny that a guy with Allen Iverson's picture is talking about FG%. LOL!
Love of the Sport right there. Jumping over cheerleaders, taking shots, LEGEND!
That OT shot, love that sound.
Did he ever find his Crazy?
Mike Hawk an unidentified Crazy was recovered near the Vanderbilt campus that day, but investigators could not conclusively link it to Henderson..
Man I must not watch enough basketball....I've NEVER seen a game with the bench along the baseline like that ever
JBarber3d Only at Vanderbilt
123Insomaniac oh, gotcha. Thanks!
wrong. also at Minnesota.
False. seats are below court level.
stmedia.startribune.com/images/08_378824_09UCAG010316_38057139.JPG
^seats are below court level.
"the benches are clearly on the sidelines." that is what you said.
The seats are not on the sidelines. They aren't on the court. The sideline is on the court.
Not sure what comment I deleted...
I'm a Kentucky fan but I love his intensity
Same and same. He got on my nerves back then, but I was always watchin! He was def a fun one to watch
That commentator is so lame. Must not have been a Reggie Miller fan.
You kidding me pony boy? Hes a great announcer. Cmon man
Well he was arrested for coke... So don't say his energy was cause of the game... haha
Haha really? I thought he looked like a coke head playing this game
Still a baller
If i was marshall henderson i ran to save the ball and keep it in, i wouldve pretended to fall into the cheerleaders instead of running straight through lol
Is he related to Shaka Smart. He looks like a younger whiter version of him.
I love this guy. He's the biggest troll in NCAA college hoops
I loved this kid man! I loved how hard he played
God is good
I Love This Guy I Model My Game After Him He Plays With Intensity on Both Ends Of The Floor
This man has crazy passion and just you can’t see his love for the game shame he never got paid
He played pro ball in many places and still does if im correct. Just not the NBA
This is what college basketball needs more of. This type of passion is great it makes all the games he plays in on TV must watch games whether you like his team or not.
This shows the passion and emotion he has for the game and I didn't know he was black
legend has it, he's still running around asking him to give him the ball.
can't believe he wasn't drafted. what a joke. he's a good guy to put on the bench, could be the 6th man. all i see is his love for the game.
This must be the only thing you have seen of him. Don't make judgments so quickly
he was playing basketball in iraq. youtube search it. super interesting video about him and the iraqi league
+Matthew Masin true, but he only played 1 season I think
He had off the court issues and he only shot 35% FG his last year in college. That is so bad.
He's not an NBA caliber player.
March Madness is gonna be better for having this dude in it.
My favorite player in college hoops.
Ridiculous that he didn’t get drafted. He played with so much energy, and I think him taunting the crowd a little added to the entertainment and boosted school spirit on both sides.
RK Marron no its not ridiculous. If he was a football player yea he would of been drafted. This dude was the johnny manziel of college basketball.......entertaining.....but a bit of a novelty....the difference between him and johnny was that johnny played football(a sport thats TEAM first) and marshall played basketball (a sport where you need STARS first)
Someone needed to shut off that announcers mic. Let the dude ball and have energy. If fans can taunt him he can give it back
Man I remember watching this game live 😂
I remember tuning into this game cause I was bored lolo
those cheerleaders just when into complete shut down mode
the sound the net made when he hit that buzzer beater! damnn. so wet.
Wow, as usual, more fans of the opposing team at a Vandy home game. Looks like an Ole Miss home game in the background after Henderson hits that shot to send it to OT.
Need a guy like this at ole miss now that we have Chris beard and playing so well
Cocaines hell of a drug.
I hate when you're so good that the only things commentators can gig you on are things not related to your skills. Who cares if he acts wild when he plays, he shoots and score under control!
uconn fan here, but i love watching henderson. he had a bad first half yesterday but redeemed himself in the second and the rebel defense was very impressive.
5:19 You're welcome.
i wanna see him in the nba the nba needs players like this again
he's scrawny, he can't defend and his handle needs work. i think he could have a long career overseas tho
kevinseveneleven I agree with you. Step one would be to get bigger.
He's playing Iraq now lol the Iraq Super League
It's all for the love of the game. Once you get in the heat of the moment in that close of a game you get crazy lol. He was just showing his heart.
People can hate all they want, but all that matters is that his team and coach like him.
Henderson is my favorite type of player.
And the one person in the stands goes wild.
Reminds me a lot of myself, this dude was clutch and inspiration.
Oh you played d1? Where'd you play your college ball?
That was it? Lol Aside from the Buzzer beater i see that kind of emotion in every basketball game i watch or play
Why is it so hard for people to comprehend that there is a difference between lose and loose?
I liked Henderson, he brought attention to the SEC outside of UK & UF for once.
Is it just me or is there something about this guy's persona that reminds you for Marshall Mathers? He clearly is ultra talented and does his thing with passion and a lot of bottled up pain and anger.
Him and Johnny football are the reason I got into sports
I hate this guy, but the sound of that ball going in the net at 3:17 is beautiful
honestly is one of the sweetest sounds ever
his shot is money tho
Explosive Candy ya that’s one of them shots with perfect arch an hits the back of rim like that.... 🏀
As obnoxious as he may have been, that's a fun dude to watch play. I remember even as a Georgia Tech fan, I would turn Ole Miss games on just to watch him. You don't want the entire country filled with guys like this, but it's fun to have a few "bad guys" that can back up their talk.
yet he is a great basketball player who shows some of the most hustle and energy in college
4:41..When your mom is watching and someone in the crowd starts being disrespectful towards her
I like this guy, he plays the game…yes, he's emotional but he's the guy you want with the ball in his hands for the clutch shot...
I agree he seems to be worried more about fans then just playing ball at times.
I don't watch College basketball, but i really really like this guy. If he can just stop talking to the fans and focus on his game he could really be something special.
I was on a full ride in college and was fortunate to have money funneled to me on a monthly basis by both of my parents and STILL managed to overdraw my bank account almost every month. Scholarships have little to do with a student's personal finances.... If a college is making multiple millions off athletes, it can afford to show them SOME of it. Hell, introduce contracts into college sports. Keep kids around for longer to improve the quality of the college game.
That's ridiculous and you know it. STUDENT-athlete, studies will always come before sports. Having four years of college completely paid for, having a chance to get scouted for the pros, and being able to play on national tv is enough perks for college students. And as for high school it's the exact same thing.
That's how the game should be played Energy And Emotions!
Marshall Henderson...gonna be a great 6th man in the league
The kind who salivates and feeds off the opposing crowd.
Marshall Henderson equals ratings fans and money. What an awesome individual.
What Marshall did better than any athlete in Ole Miss history was take the pressure off our other players. He beat the shit out of pressure. Fearless
Not everyone can be a Reggie Miller, but it makes it fun to watch. As long as it doesn't escalate to a fight, i think a little chirping is a sign of confidence and passion for the game
Heisman and then the bowl game just blew it over the top
Reminds me of what could've been a younger Jamaal Crawford if the NBA would've given him a shot and he toned it down a bit.
As a Mizzou fan, he drives me nuts. But I will say he is a player..great guy to have on your team and the kid can shoot, I don't know how he gets the ball out of his hands that quick and how he makes a lot of those off balance shots, but he does. Props, and I really hope they can beat Wisconsin first round, anything to knock a B1G team out of the tourney =D
This dude was def on a substance during the game. Looks like he’s day 3 into a bender.
What a strange time for Nike. Tight fitting tops and extra baggy shorts.
he's playing in Iraq now
Hes a coach of ole miss
The funniest is the fan Vandy fan reaction to the buzzer beater. It's like me on Sundays after every Jason Garrett-induced, excruciating Cowboys loss
I Love Marshall Henderson I Model my Game After Him, He Plays With Intensity On Both Ends Of The Floor
I like emotion baby !
i loved watching this guy
I love the energy
Vanderbilt's arena is arranged strangely. The benches are under the baskets.
3:15 COLD BLOODED!! I am a fan!
impressive part of the shot was that he didn't use a dribble to go into it
The man literally looks like Allen Iverson. His face, especially his eyes; long arms and legs; wirey physique.
hes gonna be like another steve blake in the nba
I hate that too. It's like what do you want him to be a robot. Geez let him show emotion.
This is a great player - anyone trying to change his style is a fool.
I want to see him make the NBA just to witness his first game against the Celtics. KG is notorious for letting rookies have it and a shit talking session with KG chirping to Mashall would be epic.
This is a guy that I love to play with and hate to play against
Marshall Henderson is a beast!!!
He's a good shooter, he just keeps jacking up difficult shots. I wish he would play more efficiently, but hey, he's entertaining.
Wish the announcer would shut up and let the boy cook. He got on my nerves back then too, but dang.. he is who he is, and he was backing up all the talk
That's ridiculous and you know it. STUDENT-athlete, studies will always come before sports. Having four years of college completely paid for, having a chance to get scouted for the pros, and being able to play on national tv is enough perks for college students. And as for high school it's basically the same thing. Not to mention it would have to go for all sports, the schools wouldn't be able to pick and choose the kids to pay.
this kid is amazing let him play how he wants
Henderson had some of that grade A Colombian coke during the game
He loves the sport, that ain't crazy
He is the Johnny manziel of college basketball
3:27 you gotta love that confused face that fans make when they didnt understand wtf happened after a buzzer beater just went in
Such a shame, dude could ball. RIP to Henderson, terrible news.
Good player. Big-time hot dog.
Also, as of today he's shooting less than 39% overall.
Gotta make sure that Marshall doesn't rush the stands
he definitely "loosed" his anger...
I agree that they don't want to be there, but adding contracts could change that. Say I was a decent student and an great athlete... I know that I have a career in the NBA in my future, but I'm smart enough to know that I want something to fall back on. Finishing school will give me more options in my future, but I have a family who is struggling at home and could use money now. If I could sign with a college for 4 years making 100k a year while I got my degree, that's an awesome alternative.
he's just very passionate of the sport. love it!
+Davis Milne He has several counterfeit and forgery charges for using fake money to buy cocaine and weed. Still love it?
MrBrenman21 Yeah, I love drug induced passion! Fucking moron, go back the the fucking preschool you came from.
The guy who makes fun of little mistakes Holy shit you're a dumbass!!!! I've never met someone so utterly out of touch with reality!
Have you heard of the concept of "intentionally triggering"? Apparently not! It's the best way to get liberal puppets mad on the internet! Just look at your pure anger. It makes me laugh. HAHA!
MrBrenman21 Never said you are a liberal!!!! Way to put words in my mouth and use a pathetic straw man argument!
I simply said that's the best way to troll liberals, and obviously it works on morons in general!!! Every comment you post only makes you look dumber and dumber!
MrBrenman21 Care to point out my straw man (it's two words you dumbass) argument? I'd be impressed if you can randomly interpret something completely unrelated to fit your distorted reality! Also, name where I'm being hypocritical. Unfortunately for your pathetic ass calling me things with no actual reasoning behind it does not make them true. Nice try though, kid.
