  • Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson shows hustle and a good deal of borderline insanity as the Rebels come back to beat Vanderbilt on the road. Jefferson hits the three at the end of regulation to send it to OT. 1-16-13

I actually like this guy. Not only is he a great player with his agility and proficient shooting ability, but he also very passionate about what he's doing, which is essential for a college athlete

    • @TheBBallEnthusiast

Actually what's essential for a college athlete is good education and a scholarship. What's essential for ANY athlete is passion, no matter what level you're on.

TheBBallEnthusiast Sorry man, but you're living in the past. Do you really think the top talent, regardless of the sport, really cares about their education. Hell, the school doesn't really care either. They care about the tens of millions of dollars that will flow into their school as a result of their elite athletes. Do you really think that Texas A&M or Manziel ever cared about education when it came to his recruitment? And the athlete cares about the tens of millions of dollars that will flow into their bank account at the next level as a result of their college exposure

I dont understand why everyone is bagging on him and hating oh him. Yes, he does have a temper issue, but its not like hes spitting on peoples faces and starting fights. He plays with extreme passion and after making a big play he taunts the crowd which assumingly has been on his ass all game. He should obviously take it down a notch, but I have no problem in his style of play

I was on a full ride in college and was fortunate to have money funneled to me on a monthly basis by both of my parents and STILL managed to overdraw my bank account almost every month. Scholarships have little to do with a student's personal finances.... If a college is making multiple millions off athletes, it can afford to show them SOME of it. Hell, introduce contracts into college sports. Keep kids around for longer to improve the quality of the college game.

  • @tigerwilliams10

That's ridiculous and you know it. STUDENT-athlete, studies will always come before sports. Having four years of college completely paid for, having a chance to get scouted for the pros, and being able to play on national tv is enough perks for college students. Good player. Big-time hot dog.
Also, as of today he's shooting less than 39% overall.

I agree that they don't want to be there, but adding contracts could change that. Say I was a decent student and an great athlete... I know that I have a career in the NBA in my future, but I'm smart enough to know that I want something to fall back on. Finishing school will give me more options in my future, but I have a family who is struggling at home and could use money now. If I could sign with a college for 4 years making 100k a year while I got my degree, that's an awesome alternative.

The guy who makes fun of little mistakes Holy shit you're a dumbass!!!! I've never met someone so utterly out of touch with reality!
Have you heard of the concept of "intentionally triggering"? Apparently not! It's the best way to get liberal puppets mad on the internet! Just look at your pure anger. It makes me laugh. HAHA!

MrBrenman21 Never said you are a liberal!!!! Way to put words in my mouth and use a pathetic straw man argument!
I simply said that's the best way to troll liberals, and obviously it works on morons in general!!! Every comment you post only makes you look dumber and dumber!

MrBrenman21 Care to point out my straw man (it's two words you dumbass) argument? I'd be impressed if you can randomly interpret something completely unrelated to fit your distorted reality! Also, name where I'm being hypocritical. Unfortunately for your pathetic ass calling me things with no actual reasoning behind it does not make them true. Nice try though, kid.
