If only we could see this in English. I think Johannes is a wonderful actor and though I can't hear the dialogue in English, his brilliant way of expressing his emotions, makes it really easy to understand his feelings. It's amazing how popular this has become, despite so many people being unable to translate the dialogue/subtitles - due, I feel, to his exceptional ability as an actor. Hopefully, at some time, all the followers of this story, will actually be able to view it - hearing it in their own language.
I agree. His eyes are beautiful, makes you wanna stare at him whole day. Such a pitty there is no english subtitles.

Look at fear in her eyes and his loving touch. So poignant and loving at the same times. Shows tha music is the food of lovr as Shakespeare would say. Music transcends all borders and races.

love this- I watch this entire movie- with English subtitles which were awful ;) but I still managed to understand the movie. It was an excellent movie- really enjoyed the story line of Dasha and Walter.

More than the half not. My father served ten years in German Wehrmacht and at the end of his life it was important for him to say....son, I am shure, I took not one soldiers life. He always shot past the enemy. Thats german soldier too.

The actress is too young for the part. She looks about 15. I don't buy them as a couple.
I agree that they don't make a good couple. However, this actress (Darya Baranova) was about 26 or 27 at the time when this was filmed. She really does look very young here.
In "1941" the actress is 21-22( her Dasha is18) , the actor is 38-39 (Walter is about 25). Nevertheless they look as two halves of a whole.
