I legit just learned the superguard windows. The statues have a very weird rythm to them, once you get it, it won't leave you, after that it's just about beating them down fast enough before you trip up to much. Floor 18 has one singular statue, use him for practice, after that, you can beat em no problem On hard mode, my suggestion, don't, but if you think you can go for it. Edit: you can superguard in hard mode now.

I bested it with -2 attack and 2 defense And max dmg my dynamike could do was 3 dmg Best part? I would have enough sword energy from their attacks to use it and then defend to take 0 dmg on the crush move What about unexpected zooming? I defend then i can block to take no dmg
