I’m 67 & bought my first iPad recently,(an iPadAir 4th generation) & need to the basic skills such as making files, only having one email app, avoiding being hacked, & suggested apps like Evernote
One issue with the iPad is that you are limited to very specific layouts for multitasking. You cannot split the screen into two squarish boxes. With any Samsung tablet, you can arrange windows however you please. As a student, reading a paper while taking notes is essential, so not being able to do this is a legit deal breaker. Raising this because many people may expect that something like this will work, but it does not.
Yeah, its more on the aesthetic sense than productivity. For me, i dont use my ipad for taking notes anymore cuz its such a hassle. I just use it for quick math problems and reading novels..
I don’t know which ipad model you are using but my ipad air have this feature. I can resize my split screen in whatever proportion I wish to have. Also i get floating tab for multitasking.
I switched from an iPad to the regular S7 and I am happier with an Android tablet. I can get my work done easier on the tab S7. However, it is true that ipad has more tablet optimised apps.
I'll go with the Tab S7. I want DeX desktop experience, wide-screen and take notes with S-pen. Samsungs apps are also really powerful and OneUI is really great.
I think one good thing to mention is pricing on both tablets. Apple rarely discounts any of their products, especially phones/ipads, but Samsung usually runs big sales frequently. The S7+ usually retails for $900+ but if you wait for one of their sales you can get it for
That really only works for people that have something to trade-in. Which is cool for people who have an older tablet theyre not using anymore. I got the 256GB for like $517 no trade-in but had to bundle several 3rd party discounts, money back, military discount, and Black Friday discount to get it that low.
I also noticed that almost all of the samsung and other android products are being sold with accessories or other products(f.e. in Kazakhstan, samsung is selling new galaxy s22 with galaxy buds pro with whatever version you buy, a keyboard for tab s8 ultra, or an older phone versions with a phonecase). Or we have big discounts up to a -70%, which I don't see on any apple products here, plus even the old versions are kinda pricey.
I got the iPad Air 4 a few months ago because it works well with my other apple devices. I love the iPads. Before I had the "normal" iPad 4 (I got in 2012) which still works good with great battery life, but no longer got new updates. I gave that one to a family member who is very happy with it, and I am very happy with my iPad Air 4.
Nice, I’ve had mine for close to half a year and throughly enjoyed it as well as my first tablet which was my the entry level Samsung tablet (which was amazing as well) hope you enjoy it :)
@DS both of the iPads work perfectly fine even with the crack screen but it annoys me , I use the iPad 11 pro and I’ve noticed that it’s bent for some reason , and my daughters are 5 and 7
I upgraded from the 2014 iPad Air 2 128GB to 2020 iPad Air 4 256GB, and I had mine since February of this year and I love it, it’s a significant upgrade.
I'm not a hardcore fan of one brand over the other. I usually get whichever does what i need it to do at a price that I can afford. Before now a Samsung tablet was all that i needed, but my needs have changed and benefits of having an apple tablet, mainly the app ecosystem, have led me to get an apple tablet this time around.
Personally I love my tab s7. I'd say both are awesome, go with what brand/user interface you like more. I'm a samsung user in general(except my mac) so the tab s7 was an easy choice for me.
@@rosemarycrafting1202 yeah, i ultimately went with the ipad air for the apple ecosystem but i can’t lie and say i don’t think about the s7 FE here and there!
@@rahuljain3075 I'm actually not sure bruv, samsung usually announces products in the US first and then the other markets, so my guess would be the US.
Two very important factors in decision making are 1. Usability with Zoom or MS Teams and 2. Which phone you have. I have both iPads and the S7+ which I got half price from Samsung when they had a crazy promotion for education and corporate discounts about six months ago. The centrally placed camera on the Samsung makes Zoom and MS Teams meetings much better. Looking at your screen on the iPad seems like you are looking at the side during the meeting while on the Samsung you are looking into the camera. If you have an iPhone, the iPad is much more useful as you can get iMessages and phone calls on your iPad which you can't on the Samsung. If you have a Samsung phone, the Samsung tablet is much better for compatability. Though I like the Samsung and I use Windows computers for most things, I have an iPhone (because everyone else I know has one and it is a must for iMessages) I usually go back to an iPad and Macbook because noting beats getting your messages and phone calls on your iPad or laptop
One positive about tab 7 is that you can make or receive phone calls from it and use it as an individual mobile device, while you need to have a iphone with ipad to make or receive call or messages
I had all the iPhone models from the 4s to the iPhone 12. Two iPad models (Gen 3 and 10.5 Pro) and a needed to sell them. Owned the Galaxy S3, Motorola Razr Maxx, Motorola X and my very first smartphone was the HTC G1, all of them my secondary phone, except the G1 which was an AT&T era of the iPhone so I had to buy it. I thought to myself, "I know Android and Android seems an unfinished product, I'll have a hard time to adjust". So I needed a new phone and I bought the Galaxy S20+ . I'm glad that I've got it because Android now is very stable and doesn't seem like an unfinished product anymore. Very consistent and Samsung's features are great. Also, one thing that was a deal breaker was the sense of claustrophobia with the iPad and iPhone. I had to transfer 8gb of photos to a thumb drive (on the official USB 3 adapter) and only I got was errors. With the Galaxy, I was able to do the same task very easily.
The tab S7 is niiiiice. I have one and it's a fantastic tablet. My only gripe about it is the thing weighs a ton for it's size. I'm used to the cheaper lighter weight tablets, so this was a big change as my first "premium" tablet.
I have an iPad Air 2 and a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and just bought a 64GB Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE three weeks ago. They all have strengths and weaknesses, but I love the battery life on the Samsung, it's rather incredible really. And the two speaker stereo sound is also very nice, it and the screen seem perfect for watching Netflix. I haven't turned on the MS SP4 since getting the Tab, but I am still reverting to the iPad for reading and posting comments, the onscreen keyboard is bigger and the layout familiar....
not just that, their products price drops whenever they release a new product, although I hate how they works but their product is really really good and high quality, ios isn't like android, ios is owned by apple and android is open source which means the current android samsung is using isn't the original android, it's been modified in many ways meanwhile apple updates ios rather than modify it, whenever you buy an android product you may expect it to go with you to 1-2 years and then it'll start showing lags (when you're on the main screen or when you open the camera) and with ios product you can expect 4-5 years and it'll still going on smooth (disclaimer: all phones downgrade over time but this process is much slower for ios than android) plus an ios product is way more secured than an android product
At least the phones and iPads have good resale value. I have had many iPads. They all still work flawlessly. My android tablets have all failed at some point.
Thank you for the review. Went with the S7 FE because the Ipad air 4 is too bloody expensive. S7 fe 64gb is currently on sale for $429 cdn while ipad air 4 is still $780 CDN
@@Shan_Shah the S6 isn’t sold anymore and there’s not much difference in pricing in the used market. People generally hold on to their flagship devices for 3-5 years. I was highly critical of the S7 FE and was worried it was just an XL Tab A7 but I’ve been pleasantly surprised, it’s a superb tablet. The 4/64 is only $80 more than the S6 Lite here and it really blows the S6 Lite out of the water.
@D Eleqtronica they tab s7 is only $80-100 more than they s7 fe so why not get that instead they tab s7 fe honestly isn't cheap tablet and they s7 fe should've been 289 instead.
I'm planning to go for the S7FE (6+128 gb) LTE variant which costs ₹41,100 ($537), because the ipad air m1 costs around ₹73,500 ($964) for a similar config (4+64 gb, apple pencil included).
So does most of the iPad OS apps, most of them just run in a mini mobile phone display in the centre of the screen. Also it depends upon the developers so cant do much.
You've been listening too much to the apple biased American tech reviewers. Android apps are designed to adapt to all screen sizes and even Chromebooks. iPhone apps look worse on iPads but Android apps display well on tablets. You can do way more with an Android tablet than an iPad and watching movies is always better on Android tablets with the 16.9 screen ratio
Both of them are good, but I had taken the TAB S7 FE 128 GB wifi+cellular because you're getting a bigger screen and a stylus just for $800, and the Ipad 256 GB WIFI + CELLULAR WAS FOR $899 + $129 for the Apple Pencil, so when you're getting a bigger and the same thing+ a free stylus cheaper so why should you opt for the expensive one, right! I know some people will take the Ipad because it is just they are running behind the brand and also I have heard some people saying that Apple is the best and Samsung is not good. That is what I think. So just a suggestion/recommendation I'll give is, that everyone go for the Tab S7 FE.
@@jo3we Im 12 and about to go to 7th grade because I still got a week of summer but I don't need it. I want it because at the moment I have an htc desire 530 and its laggy so I need a new device :/
you missed to mention the part of what I like about the FE, it can serve as a secondary laptop screen. I need that feature when I travel and suddenly needs to work do reports on a hotel or cafe! the ipad air4 cant do that.
@@newskybox Not the best solution but there is a third-party Apple app called dual display which allows the iPad to act as a second display for Windows. Not optimal by any means and definitely not as smooth as the S7 FE, but the option is there.
if you're a busy person who needs a good camera and light weight tab for work go to iPad air 4 the camera is Soo good you can use many browse without getting lag and more it's good for gaming too but it's more likely for workers and it's long lasting
Uhm.. Firmware updates are ovverrated.. also samsung all get 3 years updates and 5 years security updates so no problem ... however i can even use my old phone with android 8.0 and it works perfect. If you only download apps from google playstore you will never get a virus. About durability . . . The ipads are just like iPhones.. once they fall down they are broken lol. But i c u a iSheep and need to find arguments to comfort ur decission :)
@@feuerherz007 I’m just stating my opinion. We can all agree, well mostly, that in terms of annual software upgrade/support, all Apple devices can get it immediately-well that’s obvious-comparing to androids due to fragmentation. Not just security updates, but I’m talking about Major OS update, which most androids can get it like after 6 mons to a year, or never get at all. Apple devices can have 5-6 years of MAJOR OS update/support, unlike yours with only 3 years. Right, all phones or gadgets will break if they fall. Lol
I saw a lot of bad complaints about Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, which made me worry about the quality. 😓 However, I finally choose samsung tablet because I have been using my samsung galaxy phone for 3 years and nothing to complain about it. 😄😄😄 always love Samsung product ❤❤❤
How's it doing? I'm also seeing quite some used tablets at low price cause the S Pen isn't in perfect condition. Is this a recurrent problem with this laptop?
The more reviews I watch of the Samsung S7 FE the more I’m convinced the iPad is the better choice. General consensus of the S7 FE is that it’s good and not great, which is okay for some but I don’t want to purchase a replacement for 5+ years, the FE doesn’t seem like it’s going to age well with all the compromises made to it.
Okay just an update, I ended up buying both the iPad 9th gen and S7 FE 128gb and I ended up keeping the S7 FE. The iPad is very nice and snappy but for my type of usage (mainly media consumption and mobile games) the S7 FEs bigger screen makes a huge difference in enjoyability. The screen is beautiful on the S7 FE, stunning colours but slightly dimmer than the iPad. I did not notice any lag or slow down on the S7 FE and I’m highly critical of this as apart of the user experience. The iPad was too much like my iPad Air 2 and looked rather dated next to the S7 FE. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase and glad I did the side by side purchase, I guess specs don’t really tell the whole tale of how well the end user experience is.
@a_lucariolover9999 I 100% agree, even at their sale price the 64gb model is the same as the iPad 9th gen which makes the choice even tougher. IMO, if you’ve never owned a tablet, the iPad 9th gen is the way to go for the money, but if you’re upgrading from an older iPad, it’s worth considering the S7 FE if your budget doesn’t allow for the newly designed iPads.
@a_lucariolover9999 exactly! The only reason I got an S7fe was because I was able to snatch one open box for $180 after boxing day sales. The cheapest open box S7 was $490 and as much as I wanted it, this was a better deal since I'm only going to use it for taking notes.

I still use the Samsung note 10.1 2014 edition. I never use the pen. It was a second-hand tablet. I use it since 2018 and it's working pretty fine. Uhm, it sometimes lags...but very rarely. That Samsung S7 Fe seems awesome. I would love to buy it. Parents money, ofc. But wait, I don't think I need it though. Sorry for the rant, I have no one to actually talk 😂
Very good work on the video. The editing is on point and all the contents are well explained. The one thing I can nitpick is the title. It can be a bit misleading. I expected the results to be overwhelmingly one-sided when I read the title. Other than that, good job. Kudos
I'm really struggling with a decision. I left iOS for Android in 2009 and have been a Samsung flagship user since the Note 2. I left, because I'm a tech lover that enjoys the freedom Android offers. I just got bored with the iPhone. Still, I'm considering an iPad Air 4 despite having my Samsung Note 10 Plus. The idea of trying out iOS since their evolution interests me. I'm mostly using it for eReading, streaming, but I do like the idea of imessage. But I like to sideload EPUBs, so I'm not sure how easy it will be on an iPad compared to the Tab S7. Plus, the 120Hz refresh rate is very appealing, but not a dealbreaker. But I worry Samsung will nerf the software overtime compared to iOS (it's why my current update is left on permanent pause on my Samsung phone). Do you think I'll get too frustrated with iOS' limitations or will it make a difference on a device like this? And are Apple apps really better and optimized compared to Android in 2022 or is that not true? So many questions. Everytime I think I'm ready to execute a purchase, I stop and rethink and then I'm back to square one. Maybe I should just buy both. I wish! lol. By the way, you're fast becoming one of my favorite tech channels.
Great review but I doubt you’re going to sway to many purchase decisions. I think most people will buy based on the ecosystem they’re in. If you’re an Apple user you’re almost certainly going to buy the iPad because you’re locked into that ecosystem. If you’re an Android user the choice isn’t quite as clear - there’s more players like Lenovo and some China brands etc but the FE seems like pretty good value for money and I bet the battery is easier to replace than iPad.
It is funny, but even if you're an Android user, the iPad is still a better choice for most (and iPad sales vs Galaxy tabs just confirm that). Simply because there is essentially no Android for tablets and virtually no Android ecosystem. All google services and apps are easily available on iPad OS and you gain nothing from using them on Android vs iPad OS. While you get so much more on iPad OS compared to Android tablets. So the only reasons one can choose S7 FE are price or Dex. If price is not an issue then one can get a 12.9" iPad Pro if the larger screen is what one needs. So from the features perspective (price aside), Dex is the only reason. And maybe memory card support for some. So in the end, if you're in the Apple ecosystem, the iPad is an obvious choice. And if you're in the Android "ecosystem" then again unless you need Dex, the iPad is a better choice.
@@vlkhvan i used android tabs before lots of them and now using an iPad pro. The difference is performance and quality is really worth the money. Hands down when it comes to tablet I will only chose ipad.
This isn't necessarily the case. I am an Android user and have been for several years (only owned an iphone once, didn't like it when compared to my Samsung Note phone...) however, as I am searching for a tablet for drawing/designing, using apps like Illustrator, the ipad wins here. Plus the Apple pencil is pretty impressive, oh and they have Procreate. I haven't found an app similar to this on Android so far. I am seriously considering getting an ipad now.
Watching on my galaxy tab s7 fe wifi variant , It has powerful sd 778g , 12.4" TFT panel and I got just for $490, Incredible deal, s pen is included...totally worth it, Thanks Tech gear talk for reviewing it

@@rahulkapoor2232 yeah of course. I never knew the WiFi variant in India had the 778G too until I saw your comment today. I don't even care about the LCD display. I guess I'll wait for a while until Samsung launches the 6 GB 128 GB variant.
I don't know why, but I just love watching your tech videos Even though I just have the standard tab S7, It helps me learn more about my device; while planning on getting a second tablet in the future.
I order they tab s7+ but just 4 extra knowledge and me enjoy the video is a huge factor but it gives more information n helps me recommend my friends better deals.
I used my Ipad Air 2 since 2016(was released in 2014) until 1 month ago. The only reason I stopped using it was because during on my recent travel the screen got broken :( and the screen replacement does not justify the cost of the device I ended up getting Ipad Pro M1 12.9 and I cannot recommend it enough
I think both are really good and I would consider the android stuff too but I really prefer the design and when thinking about getting a tablet I always try my best to think about the android stuff but the design always pulls me back to buy an iPad
Omg I remember watching you when i was going to buy a ipad 8! You really helped me pick between iPad 8 and the Air 4😭. I realized that the ipad air 4 was to much for me so we bought the ipad 8 :D
First, thank you so much for all the excellent videos you provide! I always watch the ones relevant to my interests, and yours are among the best I've ever seen -- and far better than most! Thanks again! Having owned a Tab S3, S6, and now an Air 4 64gb, I am 100% glad I switched over. 1. I have owned Android phones and devices up till this year. Having to upgrade so soon due to updates and security patches ending, both for Android phones and Samsung tablets I've had, led me to do some math and see that it was not actually cheaper long-term to use Android. (Note: the S6 still works fine as it's recent enough.) 2. While I always manage to buy my tech on good sales, I am also one who uses my devices until they are no longer supported and/or functional; I squeeze my money's worth out of them to the last drop. I'm persuaded Apple devices, in the end, are better value for me and will serve me twice as long as my Android devices have, due to Apple's excellent, long-planned support and updates. ALSO... genuine Apple battery replacement at the Apple store is not expensive, the battery and work are under warranty, and service is fast, for the entire supported life of the device. 3. Emails and content creation via separate keyboard (at times falling back on the onscreen keyboard), and much handwritten note-taking, are daily, major tasks for me. While I liked the feel of the S-pen's tip, I found the rubbery tips wore through much more quickly than the tip on my $25 Apple pencil clone. ( I don't/can't do art work, so the clone is great for me.) Replacing nibs and/or S-pens is quite dodgy; on my old S3 and my S6, replacing the pens with authentic Samsung replacements was very hit-and-miss. Samsung was always out of stock, and finding genuine Samsung S-pens and nibs was dubious. The fake ones were extremely inferior and frustrating. It is so easy, if not expensive, to pick up a genuine Apple pencil. Again, for a notetaker like me, my black clone is great for notetaking, and its tips and charging cable are replaceable via the seller. Its tip is slightly softer than the very hard Apple pencil tip, therefore writes with less "slip and slide." I also use a paperlike screen protector day in and day out, and the clone pencil's nib is still like new, not wearing down to any yet-noticeable degree. This is all working very well for me. * I believe that if Samsung is making such a big deal out of the S-pen as an "included premium feature," they need to up their game and be sure their users can easily and confidently replace s-pens and tips with genuine Samsung replacements. * 4. I don't use mine much for videos/movies/YT, games, etc. For my work, I never could get used to the "long, skinny" 16:10 ratio of the S6, which carries over into the S7 FE. For reading and studying, note-taking, document and .pdf marking up, using with separate keyboard for emails and doc/content creation, the iPad Air 4, even though smaller, gives me better real estate use by far and is simply more comfortable to work with. Also, for sheet music on a tablet for playing musical instruments, the 16:10 ratio just doesn't work well in portrait mode for US Letter-size sheet music. The S7 FE's 12.4" screen feels "even longer and skinnier" than the smaller S6, and more uncomfortable for what I use a tablet/iPad for. 5. Accessory availability for the iPad (and I use all third-party), is far more abundant with more selection, than for the Samsung. So... longevity of updates, replacement pens/tips, aspect ratio, performance, accessories, and sheer pleasure of useage -- all tipped me to the Air 4. No regrets, and I really enjoy using my Air 4. * Oh -- iPad's speakers are nice, but Samsung's quad-speakers win hands down!*
Reading your opinion, I just decide to buy an IPad Air 4 and also I would like to ask you something, can you recommend me a case for the IPad and a third-party pencil?
I’m very familiarized with the OS of the apple products, and I really like my iPad Air cause it’s a super portable and powerful device, even when android sometimes has higher specs, I really appreciate the easy way to do the things that the apple products give you
For us, the Galaxy Tab S7 FEs' price tags are pretty dangerously close to proper flagships S7+s. That's why we still have S6 Lite. For me I already have the Galaxy S7+. Sure the iPad Air 4 is a nice tablet but once I already have an iPad Pro, I personally cannot go back down. If our Galaxy Tab S7 FE have a reasonable price tag, NOT close to S7+ I may reconsider. All in all, I'm glad to watch this video for a nice comparison.
For reading/highlighting/anki and all your student needs, ipad can be inmensely better. Having changed from ipad air 4 to s7+ 12.4, I ended up selling the s7+ and going back to ipad. Notability/goodnotes are just too useful vs Xodo/moonreader
@@shubhamjohri290 tis it is, I've upgraded since to ipad 12.9, I should add anki has controller mode in ipad, android does not. I tried using my note 20 for pdf/epub reading on the go, but it hasn't worked out. I always end up using the ipad for serious work.
@@theviralstuff4460 Samsung has a free note app called S Notes, which is literally like Goodnotes. For iPad, you would still have to buy Goodnotes. You would also have to buy the stylus because it's not free unlike the S7. Also you can turn your tablet to look like Windows using Samsung DeX, so it's cool.
Samsung Dex is a great idea, also windows have this feature too. The only problem is that the processor and matching software and hardware make apple products so much better.
Can please expound about the difference in the software updates? I'm actually planning to buy Samsung s7 fe. However, I'm still considering the air 4. What do you think? It will be my first tablet and I plan to use it as an alternative for my laptop doing basic stuff such as for online class requirements, documents editing, vid editing sometimes. Help a friend here 😭
@@charlottebrieharper4496 Apple has an amazing track record of software updates for it's devices (especially the newer ones). In general, your average Apple device will get 7+ years of software updates, meaning you probably have a high chance of breaking the device before it stop getting updates xD
In Canada, the iPad air is $750+180 for apple pencil. The s7 fe is $580 pen included. Kind of a no Braine. Bigger screen is a killer, and the pen is a must so I'll save the ~$400 and get the bigger better s7 fe
I had the S7 plus but sold it mainly because it was way to big and bought the an Apple Pencil for $70 for my iPad 7th gen which was $250 although I still think the normal size s7 would of been better
Good point Julio - it's really important to get a tablet that works for what you need, rather than just the largest one. Thanks for being part of the channel!
I got the iPad Air 4 64 Gb WiFi after seeing your videos. This is my first apple device and boy is it a delight! My phone is rarely used these days I had a Huawei MediaPad T5 which punched way above its weight. But sadly, with most Android tabs , you need to be mentally prepared to use the same software version it comes with and put up with a minimal app’s support.Mind you , I could still side load apks…. If I pay laptop money for a tab, I want it to not feel like a compromise unless there’s heavy computing involved . The air4 even with less storage ticks all boxes for me. Samsung should offer AMOLED with S7 with cellular version . The asking price for an AMOLED iPad Pro,s7+ rivals that of a full blown Sony 4K UHD smart tv…
Nice video! I like your content :-) But 2 points: 1. Galaxy Tab S7 FE Stylus doesn't have a battery and doesn't get charged. 2. Playing games on Xbox app is just streaming. If you see a difference in quality, it should be due to display quality, the internet quality and/or the fact that on Apple you stream through a web browser and on Android using a dedicated app.
For me, it comes down to what you want to do on the tablet. Just watching Netflix etc: Samsung for the aspect ratio. Just browsing the internet: apple due to the aspect ratio. Art and photo editing: I’d say iPad due to better apps. Note taking: I’d go Samsung simply because you don’t need to buy the pen, and writing feels better without a screen protector. If you work with a lot of files and need to manage them: Samsung all day. While improved, file management on iOS is still lacking. Gaming: depends, if you’re ok with just what the App Store offers then go iPad. If you like emulation of old systems (up to GameCube) or want to be able to map a controller to a touchscreen only game etc then android is your better option.
From the experiences I made over the last 10 years with android and iPad devices. Every single android device stopped working latest after 3 years.. And also after very short time I had issues with stability of wlan, Bluetooth connection to Samsung watch and so on. Sometimes annoying reapting messages about background serv ices like kindle being shutdown. Always used the original os , no jailbreak and stuff like this. In comparison to that my iPad 2 is still "working" and each other apple tablet ( paid air and pro 11) are also still working. No Bluetooth or Wifi connection problems. Maybe it was only bad luck for me but I'm to afraid to invest money in a android device which may have such problems. The biggsed benefit IMO for android devices was the price. but that was in the past.
I have tried both, preference : ipad air 4 : easy and minimalist uix & smoothness to move among different apps... for multitasking better too... nit mention malaare, hang apps and crash at Samsung S7, gave up to use it after trial 1,5 hour at the shop. 🤣
Another Great one! Mainly use my iPad now as a display for my DJI Drone with a Sunshade rather than buying an Overpriced Crystal Sky with a moderate screen, Apple just continues to deliver on tablet market, others have just fallen off or never caught up! Keep the flavor rich videos coming!
Your video is little bit longer but provides full information and genuine differences.... Thanks buddy, your video is definitely helpful. No doubt. I'll go for s7fe... Next month I'll purchase s7fe. 👍👍
For me, an iPad will always be the better choice. The long update cycle, amazing hardware, and the ecosystem just work for me. Especially now that I’m looking to buy a mac so I can finally get rid of Windows.
A very decent and fair review.. at least you didn't call it S7 FU edition..as a Samsung user, i needed a large display and a fair price ( here in Turkey the price is not even close to the normal S7!) so i chose the FE..
Great review and I enjoyed watch your video. But I still don't know which one I want to buy, an Ipad or samsung tab. Some disadvantages of the FE you should know 1. The stylus sucks, if you are someone who uses it for notes or even digital art, the apple pencil is a to-go. The stylus has it's typical type of tip, which wears off with time, you don't have any replacements available for that in any stores unlike the apple pencil. Once the tip wears out, you're left with no choice. 2. Some apps in android for the tab suck big time. They're just not made for a tablet, you're just seeing phone apps on a bigger screen. eg. You can't scroll shorts on UA-cam and some apps are super slow. 3. The deX mode is extremely battery consuming.
Hey pal I don't have any apple products. I want to enjoy atleast one apple product once. So in this case what should I do ? Means being a Android user I want an iPad, but samsung tab is also good. So please tell me what to choose between them. I liked both of them but.....
If you want to do intensive gaming, digital art, illustration, photo/video editing, and graphic design *professionally* then get the iPad Air. If you have a windows PC at home, need a laptop alternative, do less intensive gaming, and draw *non-professionally* (if at all) then get the Tab S7 FE The longevity on iPads is more than twice as long than any Android tablet. So keep that in mind if you DON’T want to upgrade within the next 5yrs
Samsung offers 3 major updates and 4 years of security updates. That's long enough as you normally buy new gadgets in 3 to 4 years. I've also had a Note 10.1 since 2015 and I can still use the tablet with excel, word, and PowerPoint. I also plug in a keyboard to my tablet when I need it for productivity. What your saying about longevity is a myth that people keep repeating every year about Android tablets.
@@pkpnyt4711 I understand that Samsung 'now' offers software support for 3-4yrs. But everything I said is still true, unlike the Note 10.1, the iPad Air 2 released in the same year is still getting the latest iOS 15 update. So it's not a myth. 😉
I’ve recently traded in my old Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE. I opted for the 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi version, which normally costs $599.99 as of this writing. Thanks to the Samsung Trade-In program, I got a $250 discount for my new tablet, bringing the subtotal price down to $349.99. About my old tablet, it was a secondhand unit that I bought from eBay for less than $200, and after over six months of owning it, it has started to show its age. In other words, my old tablet has gotten too slow for even the most basic tasks like Web browsing. Even though I also have an iPhone, I’d still rather stick with a microSD card for extra storage space than switch entirely to cloud storage. Android tablets come with microSD card slots, and iPads don’t. Also, I’m a cartoonist, and my go-to drawing app is Clip Studio Paint, which comes pre-installed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE.
If your a student and mainly buying it for student purposes like taking notes and more, i think the ipad air 4, ipads are really popular nowadays for students. But if your doing it for entertainment purposes like watching Netflix, gaming, and more, i think the samsung galaxy s7 fe because of the screen size and the battery life. Both of them performs great performance in both gaming purposes and student needs, but after all this also based on your personal preferences. Ps. I am not really a tech person, so.. i hope it will help you to make your decision

hey, can anyone explain the geekbench score? I have watched more than 20 videos and read more than 40 articles but never observed iPad air scoring less than 1450(single-core) and 4000(multi-core).
GeekBench scores mean nothing unless you are doing computational tasks like video rendering or something. Even for gaming any flagship CPU released after 2018 should do just fine.
@@RandomGuy-om1vy So, if you buy an iPad pro, try Geekbench and see half the score you are suppose to see, you will say something like: nah, no worries, numbers mean nothing. I don't care receiving half the performance I expected, besides my ipad works just fine.. ?

One issue with the iPad is that you are limited to very specific layouts for multitasking. You cannot split the screen into two squarish boxes. With any Samsung tablet, you can arrange windows however you please. As a student, reading a paper while taking notes is essential, so not being able to do this is a legit deal breaker.
Raising this because many people may expect that something like this will work, but it does not.
Absolutely! Thanks for the head ups
Samsung multitasking is the best, i can't study without it . It makes things so easy!
you can split the screen, depending on the model iPad you have. I have my lecture slides open whilst taking notes on the same screen.

This is true. This Samsung tablet is 50% if you purchase add a line through T-Mobile right now.
Where to get that much discounts outside us and eu?
I also noticed that almost all of the samsung and other android products are being sold with accessories or other products(f.e. in Kazakhstan, samsung is selling new galaxy s22 with galaxy buds pro with whatever version you buy, a keyboard for tab s8 ultra, or an older phone versions with a phonecase). Or we have big discounts up to a -70%, which I don't see on any apple products here, plus even the old versions are kinda pricey.
Cuz no one buys Samsung tab

Im planning on looking at them from the window at best buy, so this really helps. I now know which one to look at longer.
Wich one
I have an iPad Air 2 and a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and just bought a 64GB Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE three weeks ago. They all have strengths and weaknesses, but I love the battery life on the Samsung, it's rather incredible really. And the two speaker stereo sound is also very nice, it and the screen seem perfect for watching Netflix.
I haven't turned on the MS SP4 since getting the Tab, but I am still reverting to the iPad for reading and posting comments, the onscreen keyboard is bigger and the layout familiar....
I think I’m still gonna go for iPad. Resale value of Apple products is insane even after several years.
not just that, their products price drops whenever they release a new product, although I hate how they works but their product is really really good and high quality, ios isn't like android, ios is owned by apple and android is open source which means the current android samsung is using isn't the original android, it's been modified in many ways meanwhile apple updates ios rather than modify it, whenever you buy an android product you may expect it to go with you to 1-2 years and then it'll start showing lags (when you're on the main screen or when you open the camera) and with ios product you can expect 4-5 years and it'll still going on smooth (disclaimer: all phones downgrade over time but this process is much slower for ios than android) plus an ios product is way more secured than an android product
At least the phones and iPads have good resale value. I have had many iPads. They all still work flawlessly. My android tablets have all failed at some point.

The Google Play Store is unfortunately lacking in tablet optimized apps. So it's mostly phone apps.

@@prafulgupta7004 How so?

Dont get an ipad , not the device for you
Great review but I doubt you’re going to sway to many purchase decisions.
@@vlkhvan bro u should copy ur comment everywhere. I don’t know how people believe that Samsung tab is better.
I use Mac/iOS, but I’m considering getting the S7 FE because the software is more conducive to schoolwork
I prefer the Tab S7 FE any day! Easy choice. I actually want it as a my secondary tab to my 11" Tab S7. 😍🤩
It dropped in price - so it’s a good time.
You can use the rear camera to scan documents or like a secondary/tertiary cam on a studio for filming or photoshooting.
But its like almost useless
Actually this feature would be very useful to me. Is this on both tablets?
Rear camera with such big devices is kinda redundant

@@rahulkapoor2232 yeah of course. I never knew the WiFi variant in India had the 778G too until I saw your comment today. I don't even care about the LCD display.
Got all the details I was looking for, thanks man, stay safe!
(Note: the S6 still works fine as it's recent enough.)
Very good point. You’re going to like on rod my next videos because of that.
For reading/highlighting/anki and all your student needs, ipad can be inmensely better. Having changed from ipad air 4 to s7+ 12.4, I ended up selling the s7+ and going back to ipad. Notability/goodnotes are just too useful vs Xodo/moonreader
Hmm...it's also 200 dollars costlier than S7
@@shubhamjohri290 tis it is, I've upgraded since to ipad 12.9, I should add anki has controller mode in ipad, android does not. I tried using my note 20 for pdf/epub reading on the go, but it hasn't worked out. I always end up using the ipad for serious work.
Hello which one is good for making notes?
@@theviralstuff4460 Samsung has a free note app called S Notes, which is literally like Goodnotes. For iPad, you would still have to buy Goodnotes. You would also have to buy the stylus because it's not free unlike the S7.

I got the iPad Air 4 64 Gb WiFi after seeing your videos. This is my first apple device and boy is it a delight! My phone is rarely used these days
I had a Huawei MediaPad T5 which punched way above its weight.
Nice video! I like your content :-)
But 2 points: 1.
Maybe it was only bad luck for me but I'm to afraid to invest money in a android
device which may have such problems.

Some disadvantages of the FE you should know
Bro no way to that’s footage from the iPad, I got one myself and it doesn’t even come close to that quality…did I get a faulty unit?🥺

If you want to do intensive gaming, digital art, illustration, photo/video editing, and graphic design *professionally* then get the iPad Air. If you have a windows PC at home, need a laptop alternative, do less intensive gaming, and draw *non-professionally* (if at all) then get the Tab S7 FE
The longevity on iPads is more than twice as long than any Android tablet.

Hi
Which one is better for students?
Tab S7 FE or iPad Air 4
I have the same question, can someone please answer. I will be mostly using it for studies, note-taking, and a few video editing.
