The oldies but goodies radio stations does plays music of the 1980s, 1990s, and even 2000s. Casey Kasem did the American Top 40 Countdown from July 11, 1970 through August 6, 1988, then Shadoe Stevens did the American Top 40 from August 13, 1988 through February 11, 1995, and then Casey Kasem came back from 6 and the half hiatus and did the American Top 40 Countdown from February 18, 1995 through July 4, 2009 before he was retired due to his health problem.
