As much as I liked Fox Engine. It’s still an outdated engine that was made during PS3, Xbox360 era. Konami made the right decision to move on to a different engine.
I don't understand why this fandom is so in love with an eight year old engine. Seriously, it looks good but it's outdated by two generations of consoles now, why the hell would they use it?
@@backasswardstornado6961Because it's incredibly optimized and it was directly created by Kojima Productions. Programming in Unreal Engine is very cheap and way more unoriginal ( not just because it's a copy-paste project with both story and animations made by someone else). Moreover a complex game like MGSV needed 4 Gbytes of RAM using FOX Engine. There are people who say Delta will need 4, 8 or 16 Gbytes but Konami hasn't announced it yet. Idk why people says Snake looks too young. He was only 29 in this game, do people think 29 is old or something lol. If anything he looks much more accurate
You're expecting them to believe a 29 guy who's fit af looks as decrepit as people playing games all day long, that's your mistake bro, you're expecting TOO MUCH from them
Official art and his older in game models always portray him as looking older, like in his 40's. So I think a lot of people forget that he's actually younger in the game lol.
so if the remake is called MGSDelta Snake Eater, does that mean konami plans to remake the other games, 1 2 and 4? i forget if they mentioned that somewhere but idk. Also, since they use "Snake Eater" for this remake, and will probably use "Sons of Liberty" and "Guns of the Patriots" for 2 and 4, what would they use for 1? Would it be the gamecube remake title "Twin Snakes" or will they come up with a different name to ensure people are not reminded of the gamecube remake?
Naked Snake looks fine. He is SUPPOSED to look younger, because he is about 29 years old during the events of the game. And thank God they did NOT use the Fox engine. Gave plenty of people severe motion sickness. And if this UE5 based remake can work on PS5 and Xbox Series, then it will work on PC.
Snake just looks weird in this. Even if you wanna huff copium and say it's cause he's younger, they already showed what Snake's should look like in the very first reveal trailer and that shot of him is too far off from it. That said I just think it's an unflattering angle that they showed rather than a placeholder, the lighting and the shadows makes it look more awkward than it should.
I love the graphics but I'm a bit bummed that we get the same level design. I was really hoping for much bigger levels, taking from Phantom Pain, and adding verticality and underground gameplay like Uncharted 2 and Metro.
@@зверь-д9д I will, but it's not going to run great considering UE5's track record, also the point of my comment was that retiring a not even decade old engine is wasteful to an unimaginable degree. Keep in mind that the UE itself is the 5th iteration of a 25-year-old engine.
About Snake's looks: I think it's the missing bandana, which he only gets at the beginning of Operation Snake Eater, and his hair is very... bloomy 😅 Otherwise I don't mind him being young, after all in canon he is only 29 and part of his arc is that he hasn't yet found something to truly fight for, as The Boss says: "He ist just a child... he hasn't found an emotion, yet, to carry into battle". So I don't mind him being young.
Agree. I do hope that his mustache grows, though. His upper lip is looking a little too much like MGS2 Solid Snake, but if they add realtime facial hair growth like that game (which they won’t), then that would be super cool.
@@isaiahdavis9486 Don't wanna blow your hopes, but I don't think they'll add realistically growing facial hair. 1. Its not an open world game with tons of skill trees andnoitfits to customize your character and 2. that would probably take too much effort for Konami (says the cynic in me)

I agree completely on the doubt with UE5's performance, I just couldn't buy into the idea that it's more of a devs problem than an engine problem, no matter how many times I've heard that idea from people. While UE5 looks good, it is extremely demanding... just look at how many "photo-realistic" UE5 titles released with bugs and performance issues. From indie to AAA all suffer from terrible framerates. Even Lord of The Fallen devs said they did use all the tricks up their sleeves to get rid of performance issues while maintaining the fancy AAA graphics, the game still has stutters even on higher rig, what's worst is the fact that it is very input based... missing a window of action means death. If someone aims to disagree, just name an UE5 title with both great performance and graphics... I'll wait, I believe both of these things can't exist simultaneously in this engine.
