Depends on the strength of the machine. Most 4gpm pumps have a hallow 1 inch shaft. You can get an adapter for this but the machine may not be strong enough. My personal opinion... and pump 4gpm or greater should be ran with Honda GX270 or Predator 301 or something comparable. Hope this helps
