One of the points raised: to work on the lower judiciary, I believe is very important. I have had discussion, first hand with lawyers in my hometown how they pay the court judges to get bail for their clients. This issue, of respect of the lower judiciary, to establish it's credibility is very substantial.

Look at Japan. They have 95% success rate of clearing case within 1 year. All progressive nations have jury system where normal individuals are invited to help in giving verdict. With jury system, autocracy of judges can be prevented

Judges are being blamed for everything wrong in the system. Show me one department in India that is working properly. It’s nonsense to claim syndicate between judges and lawyers. Indian judiciary was considered as the best judiciary in the world when British introduced the current system. Bottom-line is Indian leadership never appreciated importance of judiciary in the progress of the country and they slowly choked the judiciary to death. Now instead of bringing life in the judiciary, politicians are trying to appoint judges who are politically biased in their favor. Little more funds to the judiciary for training and changes in procedures will drastically reduce the caseload. Quick disposal of cases will wipe out 90% of the problems. Just some examples: In civil case if plaintiff is not ready on the 2nd date, case should be dismissed immediately; in lower court litigants should be encouraged to appear without lawyer; if health permits, retirement age of judges should be 80 years. Nearly four thousand judges have life time tenure.

heheee Arghya Sengupta says she does not agree with specialised system of courts. it is laughable. she says HC and SC should be able to deal with all types of cases. mam, apnko sare nobel prize milenge. you follow that philosophy which says be good in all subjects, all sports, etc. this is what is killing india. being special in one thing is better than being normal or general in 10 things.
