That may wind up being one of the options in the future, actually. Only a small handful of penile transplants have been done so far, essentially in the experimental phase and only being provided to those who've had significant injury to the area. Still gotta balance the pros and cons of such a transplant if it becomes more widely available though, as it's particularly expensive and requires lifelong immunosuppression

Gendering trans people correctly shouldn’t be praised any more than gendering cis people should be. Trans people are just people. There’s so much transphobia that allies think that they’re special or “one of the good ones”. …no. Just because you aren’t hateful doesn’t mean you are amazing. It means you’re normal. The first time I watched this video it cut off the last half second so it was like, "Yes, it does actually look like a pe-" and it just cut out, which I thought was super funny
I watched this documentary about an old trans man and he said the surgery wasn't worth it but I don't know if it was because of the technology back then and he says that his doesn't look and feel genuine so the documentary left me with the feeling of wondering what trans people's parts look like and I never had that feeling before. I never questioned it. I just trusted it and he ruined my mind by putting the thought forever in my head because I have a soft spot for the elderly and I trust what they have to say and to hear him say he regretted it was so sad.
It was a very valid point to make years ago that the surgery isn't advanced enough at that point in time and thus it was a much more serious decision even than it is now - but scientific development marches forward and so does our ability to alter our bodies in a variety of ways. I still think it should never be a rushed decision but there's a remarkably greater level of satisfaction with their surgeries amongst the younger generations of trans people, it seems.
@@legoe2986 sorry, I'm not sure I completely understood that. Are you saying that, if you just move on to the next story, the UA-cam algorithm automatically assumes you like that type of content and continue to recommend you those types of videos?

The phalloplasty subreddit is pretty good, that's where I learned that they can look literally just like a cis penis (was told a load of gross stuff by people who were against phallo and believed it :/). A guy called Finn on* UA-cam makes videos about his surgeries and has also released a video on another site showing what it looks like and how the implant works. I don't know about meta though.
It does the opposite. If you are a trans man, you were born with a vagina, if you have bottom surgery, you end up with a penis, this enables you to penetrate your partner's, therefore, no longer "a bottom"
Thank you for saying that last bit out loud. It's a curiosity I've had for years but won't look up for fear of finding to many photos of surgery in progress and what not. I'm a bit sensitive to that kind of thing. ❤️
A meta gets hard, a phallo needs help from either a rod or a saline pump implant (a long implant is installed in your new penis with a button at the base kind of in the balls, which attaches to a saline reservoir so when you want an erection you just rub/squeeze your balls until the implant fills up enough). If you want to know more about phallo check out finntheinfinncible on UA-cam
To be honest I would say the confusing part is why not call it lower body surgery or private surgery but both of those are rather long to say.... Syllables go Brrrrrrrrrr
I'm not trans, never really got interested on the subjet growing up and were I come from is something people barely talk about. That been said, when I see your short videos on YT I take a look at then and try lo learn something new. I may not be or feel like a trans person, but if I get to meet a trans boy or girl in the future, hopefully your videos will allow me to be the emotional support they may need at some point and understand a little more about how they may feel. For that, I thank you.
Not really, like you don't go in and say "Heya doc I need a 10 inch meat wad." But you can say anywhere from 1-5.5 inches depending on how much skin they can/you want taken
Chances are, if he's getting bottom surgery, it's so he can be a top. A transman bottom doesn't need a penis, but if he wants to do the penetrating of his partners, it's essential
Thank you for busting the myths, I am a fellow trans man and I'm still in the beginning stages. My parents are fine with what I identify as and I'm hoping to get both surgeries in the future

@Silent Definition of mutilation: "inflicting violent damage to something." Gender confirmation is a consented surgery one by professionals trans adults choose to take, they themselves aren't stabbing their genitals.
There's actually a game I play called "I Was a Teenage Exocolonist" where technology is so advanced that things like genetic enhancements are commonplace. The game is very inclusive, with trans characters, nonbinary characters, polyamorous characters. Your character can even be genderfluid. Your gender and sex/physical appearance are on sliders that you can change at any time, as well as your name. It's a game that's like, made to tell a specific story if that makes sense. You can't fully customize your character, but your choices do affect the kind of person you turn out to be and the life you end up leading. You're one of the first kids to land on and grow up on an alien world (no spacesuits needed, it's habitable), and you deal with the situations that come up with that. Highly recommend checking it out! It's a reading-based game, almost like a choose your own adventure book, with card-based minigames to overcome challenges.

I thought bottom surgery happened through like- a penis transplant (I thought people donated them like hearts and livers and stuff) or something idk lol. I got recently corrected by my mom who explained that that doesn’t exist. I feel like it should- but there’d pry be so many medical complications haha.
Ive heard of that being attempted in South africa once i believe, have no idea how it turned out!
It may be something that can happen one day, but unfortunately it isn't currently a viable option.
Ya, apparently the system of it actually getting hard and the whole nerve and sensitivity thing is more complex then the heart.
Maybe in the future, trans women will be able to donate their unwanted penises to trans men. Or swap them for uteruses. Everybody wins!

my tip for you is to go on transbucket if you're interested in seeing people's surgery results, there's a lot more on there than just phalloplasty as well!

Trans bottom surgeries have some of the lowest rates of regret, if that helps. More people regret knee replacements than gender affirming surgeries.

IIRC, he once mentioned his surgery was the metoidoplasty, and, from what I recall, it being more "natural" was one of the reasons for the choice
@@mjamin9124 also I think sometimes the colour just doesn't look right. It doesn't really matter though.
Ohhh, that's sweet. I'm so happy for you☺️
