I realized: Foolish Burial Goods -> Ice Barrier (the trap) -> Searches Coelacanth or Tremora if you already have Coelacanth in Hand. Special summoning Abyss Shark searches Harpooner/Abysspike
I feel like this is worth testing, but I suspect its ceiling is high. However, it might not be worth it due to the sheer number of bricks added to the deck to build a house with. I count about four to five cards that could potentially cause a brick: the second Mermail Abysspike, Fishborg Launcher, Fishborg Harpooner, Crowned by the World Chalice, and World Legacy Succession.
Pike and harpooner aren't bricks. You can probably drop the world legacy engine for a smaller but still good board. That would be only 1 brick then. Launcher is launcher 🤷♂️
very nice combo, also gives you the option to go into dweller for the last bahamut, or kragen (which pretty much insta-wins against tenpai dragon) depending on the matchup

Not sure what line you'd do from there, depending on how many fish u run, but it'd be great to see a combo video from u using zealantis like that!😊

Card been broken since synchro era, especially when we had fishborg blaster! Good video he’s a great card I used to summon with big wave, now we have so much more to summon him!
I feel like sharks are probably the better direction to go for coelacanth. Fishborg launcher is really good in general. Probably worth using independent of coelacanth. The shark engine lets you spit out bahamut sharks like crazy.

Is It possible to implement a mini package of mermail/atlantean as you know? Given that you can add 1 piece from deck to hand with apodrakosis terrain
I run a Water pile deck mine is, Icejade/Umi/Shark/ice barrier I too, work in dense combos and just like you, i still have not found top much use for how to break coealacanth...in my experience he was the strongest when summoning Ghoti fishes because some banish themselves when they go to Gy, and he can get Murk of the Ghoti going quickly. I think the problem is that Konami hasnt given us Snake-Eyes Ash-Esque~ fish effects to us. Our fish that go to the Gy really dont do much. Hence why we will just create new boss monsters. While more modern decks, when they go off, they add spells from deck, they search a field spell, they set traps directly from deck. We dont really do that kind of stuff. Only recently did we get close to that but Water is still rougue
I used coelacanth’s sopt effect for ghoti by using monoceros to revive coelacanth to get another ghoti tuner (mainly zep) and now have all the tuner access I want
pretty sure you cant do armored shark in damage, since the effect is to equip not to change stats. you can just do it on declaration or battle step, which shouldnt make much of a difference since they cant redeclare

This seems pretty good, but potentially bricky. I think 3 copies of abysspike is too much. I would only run 2 at most. The world chalice stuff opens a lot of possibilities, and that cool and all, but a few of those possibilities are opening with the vanilla or the succession. It also seems like this build has a REALLY tight extra deck. This would prevent you from playing second and third copies of the cards you'd most want if you dont win on the first turn or two. It feels like it would make the deck even more of a glass cannon than mermail typically already is. The fishborg stuff definitely seems like it has potential. I like the possibilities that opens up. I'm currently experimenting with the new support and I'm really excited about its potential. Can't wait for ROTA to release.
Would it be worth going Coelacanth summon the 4, make Bahamut, summon any L7 Mermail, make Odd Eyes Absolute, summon Toad off Bahamut, Link off Absolute and Bahamut for Coral Anemone, Summon Vortex Dragon from Absolute, then use Coral to lock yourself with 2 omni negates on board?
@@robertfox960 vortex needs a pendulum to shuffle back in order to use his negate effect. You could make a synchro/Xyz pendulum monster and link it off somehow to make it more usable.
At 6:54 you cheat unfortunately! Neither armor fortress nor coral anemone are fish/sea serpent/aqua, so you cannot make the nept link! Okay I just finished watching the video, only thing this changes is you having an armored shark in hand, you don't use it in the combo so it doesn't matter.

harpooner aint really a brick, its just a decent card overall but yeah i agree

I like the only fish approach, waiting for the deck profile on this one. Maybe it can combo with ghoti.

You can't go into neptabyss with anemone and fortress. He needs fish, sea serpent or aqua monster
How many cards do you run because I'm trying to come up with a decklist for after rage of the abyss and I find that 40 - 45 is to tight
