❤ I have a laundry room when you enter through the garage and a couple days ago I removed many items from that room cleaned it tidied it organized it and the closet and wow what a difference.

Your home is so peaceful , bright and beautiful. Thank -you for sharing. I wish I had them when I was homeschooling my 6 kids, now age 26 to 35. We didn't really have a lot of toys in our home but definitely way too much clothing. Because the weather in Maine is so changeable and my kuds pkayed outside everyday before and after school , I did wash every day .We had lots of books ,but I read to my kids every night even after they could read themselves. You are an inspiration to this 68 year old mom of 6, gram of 7. Again, Thank-you❤

♥️❤ I love your closed kitchen! Open floor plans have been all the rage but I think small enclosed rooms are coming back into vogue and for good reason! Paige Wassel talks about why you should keep your enclosed kitchens in one of her videos and she makes a good point!

We are going to Front Royal VA next weekend, two of our kids are graduating from home study school, then we are going to the beach in Ocean City MD, for a couple of days. You just gave me an idea... doing a home tour for our own homes would highlight areas that maybe need some decluttering and simplifying! Great video!

I think I’ve commented this before but I love your house tours because your house is almost exactly like the one I lived in growing up (except flipped, ours had the bay window/second floor section on the right.) Even down to the blue tiles in the master bath ❤

How many years do you need to reach this kinda stage? I love the simplicity
Took me around 2-3 years but it took me this long because I didn’t realize it was so much more about having a mind set change than the things. When I changed the way I view my things and had a clear picture about how I wanted to live my life I was able to do the big bulk of the decluttering much faster ❤️❤️

beautiful house) I love how spacious and visually simple and clear it looks. Have you read the book "Essentialism"? it's the book which gave me a boost or a start to begin my journey in minimalistic lifestyle) My parents are really hoarders guys, so I'm totally opposite them) Im renting a 1 room apartment and i wish i had a separate bedroom just like you do without any visual distractions )

Do you struggle with wishing you had more to declutter or changes to be made in the house?
Not as much as I used too. I feel like I finally have my living room the way I want it and haven’t changed anything in a long while ❤️ downstairs I would like to eventually get a new couch and get rid of the carpet but I always weigh it against my love for traveling and if it’s worth the money
I do Amanda. Instead of shopping, I get a huge rush from decluttering. Now that I’ve been maintaining for a while, I get psyched when there’s something I can donate 😂
Did you make a conscious decision to leave doors off your closets?
They had some hung sliding doors when we first moved in but we took them down right away because it was hard to get into the closet
