Nice review! I just received my CBP Black Water Buffalo Thompson Chain Reference Bible. The Kirkbride text block is is pretty good. The print is bold and dark. I absolutely love the Black Water Buffalo cover by AA Leathers. It's well worth the $125.
I dont know what it is about their paper in the kjv kirkbride but it feels different to me than their other bibles. I love the feel of the paper its smooth but has a slight texture to it, their signatures are staggered I LOVE IT makes flipping through the pages so nice and easy they only get better with use.
I appreciate the card stock maps. It holds up much better than the thin Bible paper. I've had several Thompson's with thin maps in the large print and everyone is separating from the text block.
i love this bible , I have a Thompson bible but is old and the pages are very old and yellow I bought it at the thrift store very cheap , I would love to buy me another Thompson bible the only problem is that this kind of bible is expense it's like more than 80 dollars or something.
Is the 8.5 pt font too small or should the 9 pt font of the large letter addition be a better choice? Is it noticeable? I have a older Local Church Bible publishers which is 8pt. It's kinda small so the notes for topic references must be CRAZY small. Anyone have both for comparison? TY
I find them both great. The Thompson is easier to follow the references through. Plus the references have a topic "chain reference" listed with the verse. The westminster is a quality bible, with excellent references, however the references don't have the topic listed with the verses. The font of the Westminster is one easiest fonts I've ever read.Overall both are excellent choices.
I just received my midsize the font in yours looks a little darker then the one I received. I was surprised how the font looks so small for being an 8pt.
@@kflow4491 I do wear glasses. Bid check the current printing they are offering. I've noticed it appears somebody these bibles with different copyrights had different fonts
according to church bible publishers site, the regular size thompson comes with a thicker paper now. does yours have the thicker paper? if so how is it differant from the normal paper they used to come in?
The midsize for sure. The Large print is just too large. I don’t enjoy holding or carrying it. Because of less weight I believe the midsize will wear longer as well.
@@faithtowalkministries132 thank you for the speedy reply! Do you happen to know where I can buy one in the Uk or websites that deliver to the UK cheaply?
kchilz32 oh since it is a limitless edition some people want something different than the others. Personally it doesn’t matter to me if it has “Holy Bible” on it or not. Either way it is the word of God! Woot!!!
This is one of the best Bible reviews I have ever seen... as well as one of the best Bibles.
This is late, but thank you very much. I appreciate that!

Quality, quality, quality is what you get from Dennis and CBP. Don’t be mistaken by LCBP not the same.
You did a fantastic review. I'll get me one of these in Leather.

I love my Thompson chain. Sad that since kirkbride sold out to zondervan that chances are we won’t have anymore TCR in CBP
You can get the last printing that CBP has right now. Also they got to print it this time as well and so the red is darker!
@@faithtowalkministries132 I had no clue! I shall order one lol

I just ordered a tbs Westminster Large Print Calf Skin and a Thompson Chain from CBP; if you have experience with both, which do you prefer?
therobinfliesagain22 Never had the Westminster - if you do a comparison review please let me know!

Is it still easy to read though?
And not straining on the eyes?

Christian Curcio I have the one before the thicker paper, but the website says it only increases the size by 1/8” so that’s not bad.
Is it the same paper that kirkbride uses?
when are you going to have another bible giveway
hey brother aaron i dont have a large print kjv thompson chain
Would you recommend the midsize or large print version for long Bible studies also which out of the two will last longer?

I don’t have information on UK shipping. I guess just take a look at their website or contact them.

Pastor, do you ever read the Apocrypha or Pseudepigrapha?
Dustin Granger I do not - I know many do just for history, but I don’t.
The limited edition doesn't have the word Holy Bible on the front, wonder why?

Faith to Walk Ministries you are right. These are beautiful Bible's and what they get for the Bibles they do great things.
Is you text consistent throughout the bible? Meaning is some pages lighter and others bolder?
I don’t see the black ink lessen at all but some spots the red ink can go lighter at times.
