Oh wow, the uncle who works at Nintendo has actually appeared! Seriously though, I hadn't considered what a mess tracking down ownership of software elements in old games could turn into. Interesting.
Shit rolls downhill. It’s basically the same for any company, this just hits closer to home because of nostalgia and personal experience. It sucks, but its almost always management’s fault.
So, the original creators of Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts are currently running a dual Kickstarter campaign for spiritual successors to their games (called Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood, respectively). The minimum amount was already met, and they are on to strech goals now.
I pitched in for the double pack on that and love getting the emails with updates on the games, gives you an idea of the amount of work that goes on in the process.
Breath of Fire is the one I cry over all the time. I love the series so much, it's sad to imagine we might never have anything good related to it again. Maybe Capcom will surprise us someday...
@@Origynet It would be amazing. When I played 4 I used to think what a BoF would look like in the future. Today what I imagined back then was something like Guilty Gear is now. Not exactly anime, but I high quality 2D like style. That would be amazing.
Whenever my friends whine about the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, I always tell them, "Could be worse. You could be a StarFox or Breath of Fire fan." And then I weep in the shower for the rest of the day.
Breath of Fire 100%. Crib a few notes from some more recent games to spruce up the turn based combat. They could even go the FF7 Remake route, with both normal sword and magic gameplay interspersed with the ability to turn into a dragon. As long as the series comes back and reminds people of BOF 3 and 4 instead of Dragon Quarter, it'll easily sell millions of copies.
@@Oddragnar Yeah, I like the Press Turn system from SMT/Persona a lot. Anything that makes turn-based feel more strategic and/or dynamic is always a welcome addition. Even something as simple as FFX, which just kept everything feeling smoother, let you switch out party members, and let you mess with turn order a bit is a huge step up from more old school JRPGs combat-wise. Breath of Fire though I think has elements that would lend itself very well to a more action-y system. Characters with very different types of movement, a protagonist with an OP superform that he can only use for a short time, etc. While you could absolutely do BOF justice with a turn based system, it's better suited for an Action RPG remake than most other series on the list.
Hopefully Eiyuden will live up to the legacy, I would LOVE if that suikoden series got the successor it deserves. Metroidvanias got their success, maybe we'll get lucky too.
My thoughts exactly. Suikoden is among my favorite series ever, and the success of Eiyuden Chronicle would not only guarantee a sequel and the growth of Eiyuden's world but would inspire creators of other "dead" RPG franchises to try and revive their past projects even if they can't use the same name like Suikoden/Eiyuden Chronicle.
@@mirandagoldstine8548 I loved it... on emulator. What really sucked was that you only got one try then had to clean the level again. And the par was often unrealistic.
@@InsanityForce It was a terrible mini game. I mean I have no skill at golf so putting in a min game based on golf and giving you a limited number of tries would only increase peoples frustrations. One of the few flaws in an otherwise awesome game franchise. I miss building stuff in console RPGs, it was so much fun building houses and seeing a town come back to life.
You might want to know that the main names behind wild arms and shadow hearts launched a dual kickstarter for projects that aim to revive these franchises with a new name and coat of paint. The Wild Arms successor is called Armed Fantasia, and the Shadow Hearts successor is called Penny Blood. The kickstarter already achieved its funding goal within a day and a half. It is now 3 days in. Definitely, absolutely, totally worth checking out if you miss those two series.
Love .hack and Valkyrie Profile. Just felt sad when realized new Valkyrie profile will be a fully Action JRPG rather than keep the combat combo-button linked to your team :(
That was one of the more unique JRPG turn based systems that tried to evolve the genre and I thought really should have stayed that way. It gets even better in Silmeria to. Sad to see it change to a more generic looking action game.
@@Def_Not_Batman Especially because that battle system was like a mix of action and turn based battle system done absolutely right, then they change it to a hack and slash musou type action rpg... Square Enix at its finest.... :/
Not happening. Sega failed to release its first two games on the Sega Genesis mini 2 that has other Sega CD games. Due to this failure no way we are getting a 3rd anytime soon if ever.

The good news is Shadow Hearts and Wild Arms are getting spiritual successors by some of the original teams! They are all but carrying the name. Even have the whistle in the theme! Now we just need Breath of Fire!
My gosh! Frankly speaking, 75% of the games mentioned are on my list. As a personal preference, I would also add Golden Sun to the list ☀️. I would say that in many cases the issue of decision making lies with the finance people. Some only see numbers, forecasts and profitability. If companies would actually realise the value of customer(fan base) engagement both sides would benefit massively. The whole thing wouldn’t be so hard. Little bit more emphasis on social media sites, voting poles about potential options ect. These things cost less than actual marketing 😂 But this is what happens when you have people in high positions that don’t understand their customers…
Wild arms is getting a spiritual sucessor. The devs are doing kickstarter to get enough money to start a brand new series in thr same vein Look up Armed Fantasia: to the end of the wilderness
I was actually crying at the end of Baten Kaitos...😭 Origin was kinda meh, but I'm definitely up for another game in the series. Still more than that me wants Shadow Hearts!
Yeah I liked the 1st game way more then Origins as well. Didn’t make me cry though. That honor went to FFX as the only JRPG to make me cry at one point.
@@redstratus97 I beat both recently and felt the same at first. The battles made no sense in orgins and I didn’t like the idea that u only have 3 party members. The story was also mid but I have gotta say after learning the battle system and beating the game which was very difficult I ended up loving it. Baten Kaitos 1 battle system is shit compared to orgins. I liked it in the original but I actually didn’t fully understand it until the final boss.
if there's one thing Baten Kaitos didn't do well with was efficiently explain the battle system. I never knew the purpose of the numbers on the cards in the first Baten Kaitos and not even the game manual explained it well until I searched it up online. I loved both games but Origins' battle system was smoother but too chaotic sometimes. The first one felt great because you the finishers made a large impact in damage and the strategical usage of the numbers helped a lot with dealing damage and boosting defense. I really hope they bring those games back, and make a new game in the series, but those chances are very slim.
@@redstratus97 it probably did help. I think I remember having that Nintendo Power issue as well but I never read it, just had it to look at the pictures at the time xD
Arc the Lad and Grandia are 2 games that I remember very fondly, in fact I still have them and occasionally replay them. I always considered that it was a shame that they ended up being just forgotten like that, I know that saying that they are underrated is very cliche but it is the truth. I still don't lose hope of seeing them again and not in the form of a mobile game.😅
I agree with a lot of this list, but I would add Shining Force (meaning, the Strategy RPG series that was considered the "main branch" of the Shining series for a long time).
The sad truth is that shining force was at its peak when camelot was at the helm. When they left the series took a major turn towards action-rpg for some reason and i can't see a developer returning it to its turn based glory. Maybe if they give the series to intelligent systems, but i doubt it's gonna happen
@@guruthosamarthruin4459 I didn't know about the mobile game,i just checked it out and it didn't look half bad but, uuum, was that an attempt on a comeback or were they trying to squeeze a few more pennies from fans who are nostalgic about the game?Whoever is handling the series is totally out of touch with what fans want, that's why i'm not optimistic(a fighting game, really?). I'm playing Wild ARMs 3/4/5 these days, and the third one is the one with the best intro for a far west/cowboy like game. Also, the leader looks like the girl from D-Frag! xD But... WA3 definitely did the setting justice the most. It's easy to imagine Virginia with a cowgirl accent. Would definitely like to see a sixth main game still honoring that devotion to the setting. I find it odd how none of the games ever had a 'showdown' minigame.
Man! I was REALLY hoping that Lunar 1 and 2 would be rereleased for the upcoming Sega Genesis mini 2. I’m extremely sad and disappointed that these games aren’t coming to that mini system. You blew it Sega! Looks like emulation is the only way I’m going to be playing those.
Yeah, the North American game list for the Genesis Mini 2 is extremely disappointing when compared to the excellent Japanese list. There are some cool Genesis games on there like Phantasy Star II, Warsong, Crusader of Centy, Shining in the Darkness, and Shining Force II, but the Sega CD selection is really lacking on the North American version. No Lunar, Dark Wizard, Vay, Popful Mail, Heimdall, Eye of the Beholder, or Dungeon Explorer, but it includes complete garbage like Night Trap and Sewer Shark. This is especially sad considering the Japanese release also got games like Shin Megami Tensei, King Colossus, and Sorcerian. If Sega would have provided English translations for those, they would have a lot more demand because people could get more games that are new to them in Western regions. But it seemed like they only did a Western release of the Mini 2 begrudgingly and are doing a half-assed job on it because of this.
@@ophidianmind333 I don’t own Crusader of Centy or Warsong but I have all the rest on my PS3 Sonic Ultimate Collection. If I really wanted those two games the PS2 and PS4 versions of the Sega collection has them and I can get them for much cheaper then the price of this thing. So sadly for me, there is no point in me getting this now.
@@redstratus97 That's a good point, most of the games worth playing are available elsewhere. If Sega wanted people to buy this, they should have included more games that aren't easily available and including English translations of games previously only available in Japan would have been the best way to do that. If all of the games on the Japanese Mini were available in English on the North American version, it would have been a must-buy for me but as it is I'm passing on this one completely.
Golden Sun needs another game. I guess it is pointless nowadays since Nintendo already got three successful JRPG franchise (Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, and Pokemon) and vibe wise, Golden Sun is very Dragon Quest like, but still. The dejjin mechanic is awesome (even though in the end, it is just a different name for class).
Series i wanna see making a comeback Alundra, obviously Golden sun Breath of fire(capcom plz) Vandal hearts(oopsie,i'ts konami) Shining force(the strategy games, not the action ones) Front mission(not the shooter BS)
Finally. I had been scrolling for what seemed like forever to find someone who mentioned Shining Force (SJRPG). I know 1 & 2 get shown the reissue love, but not the others. Kinda sad, especially considering SF3 was epic, given it's sheer size and overlapping stories.

Playing Grandia HD Collection right now. Uff all this games have to come back. Lunar Series I've been waiting for a new game in that series. I would also love a remaster of Breath of Fire IV.
I loved Grandia on PSX and buyed it recently on Steam - hopefully to feel the same then back then. Grandia 2 was entirely ignored, but cant remember why.... Breath of Fire 3 was my favourite RPG back then. I re-played it far too often, buyed it on PSX and PSP xD Tried 4 too, but my english was far too bad for that on that time xD
Awesome list, definitely agree for like half of it, Grandia, Lunar, Chrono, .Hack, and Wild Arms, totally agree, would love to see a new one of any of those games. The remake treatment is starting to wear on me, thank the heavens we got Xenoblade 3 at least.
I'm very hype for Eiyuden and medium hype for Valkyrie Elysium. As for Chrono, I'm not sure where to take it next, but Cross's Element system can go to hell. I should start a petition to ask them to add some auto-equip options. Maybe then I'll finish it.
I thought you would mention Eternal Sonata, that would be awesome to have it remastered or something like "Eternal Sonata 2", now talking about the life of another great musician, like Mozart, Bach Paganini etc.
When I first started reading your comment I was thinking exactly that with other old musicians and then I saw you added it to the end and I fully agree. A JRPG about their lives too with some of their music featured in the game would've made for a great game, especially since their music and them are universally well known.
I just came here to add this series as well. Legend of Legaia was my first JRPG and got me into the genre. I still think of it fondly and recommend it to anyone with access to an emulator or classic Playstation.
@@Ender7heXenocide2112 I loved the original actually. I think the fighting game style battle mechanics would go over very well with players today that are used to more action based systems.
Heya Erick, thank you for a great video bringing Grandia some attention :) I am one of the main people pushing for a remake or new entry in the series. I hsve interviews with the original english voice cast, who have all said they would reprise their roles if asked! Just thought you'd all wanna know. Have a nice day :)
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter was a game i extremly enjoyed, it's dark atmosphear. With a Solid Story. I would love to see a Sequel specifically about that game. But i can see how i am alone with this view. I played the older Breath of Fires recently, and the evolution Ryu had where u can see him from child to adult really rocks.
The 5th game is easily the best one in the series. It's also the only game in the series to reach #1 on sales charts in Japan earning it a Best of PS2 re-release (greatest hits equivalent).
You aren't alone. It is hated mainly by die hard classic Breath of Fire fans, but many love it. It is a mixed reviewed game because the BoF fans give it a 0, but non BoF fans give it an 8. Go on Metacritic and you will see what I mean. They are a petty fanbase.
Played & finished most of first series .hack, only missed part 4 due to being quite the rare find to buy and still very expensive to this very day. I wish they would bring it back like they did with the .hack GU series. Golden Sun(not mentioned here, sadly) was also a decent RPG and deserving of a comeback
Great video man 👌🏼 Baten Kaitos for me, would love them to continue that series but would gladly settle for a full remake from the ground up of the original. Such a beautiful game, that more people need to experience in my opinion
erick your helping to bring these games back! arc the lad is the only one i dont have, these are all classics but it wasnt that long ago really, there have been spiritual suceessors to some of these, wild arms is getting a sucessor soon, i turned on persona 5 two days ago and i laughed because i remembered how much fun i hade with jrpgs back in the 90s and eventually getting new versions on ps3 and 4 so i didnt have to wear out my discs possibly. fun times!
I love how both Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts is on this and around the same time was when we got the announcement for Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia as the spiritual successors
Final Fantasy Tactics... It spawned an entire genre, despite not technically being the first, and yet, in 23 years, there has not been a single game in that genre that could compete with it.
I find it very interesting that, of all the great RPGs on the SNES, the only ones I recognize on the Switch's SNES Online was Breath of Fire I and II. Allowed me to get my parents to play them for the first time as we'd missed them back in the SNES era and I didn't play the first two until the GBA releases. I so wish we'd get more of them...I love Dragons a lot and it was always so cool to play as one (how inconvenient it was in Dragon Quarter was something that annoyed me even more than the change to a Strategy RPG). With all the great RPGs that stay in Japan, we can probably create a game out of the number of times it comes up...
The SNES on Switch thing has Earthbound now, too. A lot of great JRPGS from that era are third-party games, so getting the rights to them is kinda tricky. But they should really be able to give us Mario RPG too. That's not too much to ask
Oh the memories.... those sweet sweet memories. Thanks for reminding me of those happy times. And thank god for the new Valkyrie Profile.... it's different I know but at least we'll get SOMETHING! Also, I think Parasite Eve also deserves a mention here. Even if Square never could decide what game genre it want it to be, the first one at least was a very interesting and unique JRPG. And oh I've remembered another series worth mentioning: Legend Of Legaia
Here's a question: What form of gameplay would be best to bring back the Breath of Fire in? I know that Dragon Quarter's tactical-lite setup wasn't exactly loved, but the older games would definitely need an update to their style at this point. I could see a few easy styles to emulate. 1) Final Fantasy X- Allow easy character switching, messing with turn order, otherwise standard turn based. 2) SMT/Persona- Emphasis on using resources to press advantage and tactically deny/undermine enemy actions. 3) Mana/Y's/FF7 Remake- Some flavor of action RPG, emphasizing different styles of combat with different character abilities and movement styles. There's a lot of different directions they could go in, especially because the Breath of Fire series has been dormant for so long. What direction do you think would be best for the franchise to make a return?
The original creators of Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts got together recently for a joint Kickstarter, that was very successful, where they are making a new spiritual successors to those series.
I'd almost be mad about making a video about resurrecting these series and Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts get immediate spiritual successor announcements.
.hack original saga definitely needs a remaster like what GU got, that and more games in the series which sadly is even more unlikely because cc2 isn't under bamco anymore.
On the bright side there's some possible good news for fans of Wild Arms series and Shadow Hearts. With the latest news about Armed Fantasia: To the End of the Wilderness, and Penny Blood.
Seems like the best way to find out how interested people are these games is with ports, there's a large number of JRPGs that no one play. Then again i have no idea what goes into porting games
You should still include Suikoden in this list. I don't think Eiyuden will be set in the same universe with Suikoden. What made Suikoden appeal to us is the relatability and continuity of each release. Most fans want to know more about 27 True Runes, Leeknat's and some other side characters' fate (Jean, Persmega, Sasarai, etc), and so on and so forth. a lot of misteries still needs to be unveil in the original series.
A little birdie may have told me a few days ago that Wild ARMS and Shadow Hearts are getting spiritual successors in the vein of Suikoden/Eiyuden Chronicle. Check out "Armed Fantasia" and "Pennyblood".
So, we’re currently on the way to getting spiritual sequels to Wild ARMs and Shadow Hearts. They’re called Armed Fantasia and Pennyblood respectively, and are being Kickstartered and developed by the original devs for each series! Also, Pennyblood (set in the 1920s) will get its jazzy soundtrack by the composer behind Breath of Fire 3’s music!!! It smashed its Kickstarter target in less than 4 days (no surprise there), and at the time of my comment, is sitting at ~210% of its original goal with 13 days left to go! If you see this comment and want to join in for one or both games, go back them NOW!!!
I know it's a solo game but I'd like to see some sort of followup to Jeanne d'arc. Not necessarily a sequel, but maybe a reinterpretation of different historical events with similar mechanics.
Really wished .hack would get a spiritual successor at some point made with UE5 … just imagine how massive the procedural dungeons would be with the password system the game used back then… and do not forget … it could even be in VR or AR
EXA_PICO should have made the list... That series hasn't had a game since like 2014. Another mention: They need to localize more Wizardry games... So many of those titles are Japan only. Technically Wizardry was a Western developed RPG series before Sir-Tech was bought by a Japanese company around 20 years ago, with most of the titles being Japanese exclusives ever since. The original Wizardry (1981) is notable for being the first successful RPG video game and was also very popular in Japan becoming very influential RPG game design in the 80s and serving as inspiration for titles such as Final Fantasy (1987) which was heavily based on Wizardry right down to the magic system. With such a storied legacy and 8 titles in it's main series and multiple spin offs, it's amazing that series seems to be mostly forgotten outside of Japan with most titles never making it to the West.
The thing with Chrono Cross is that it was originally never meant to be a sequel to Chrono Trigger. Radical Dreamers was technically the true sequel, but only in terms of a light spin-off. Then Chrono Cross was created with the intention of being a reimagining of Radical Dreamers, which was already loosely attached to Trigger. Cross would have been amazing as a stand-alone. The problems came when they wanted to reconnect the dots back to Trigger.
I'm pretty excited to see Armed Fantasia (successor of Wild Arms) and Penny Blood (of Shadow Hearts) are in production.. Hope we can get more from this list..
I loved Lunar, Lunar 2, the .hack series, & the Chrono Cross series so much! I played the hell out of all these series! Remakes/Remasters of these would be EPIC!
Lufia needs an HD-2D sequel with Lufia 2's gameplay mechanics. Shining Force needs a new SRPG to address the Galm Saga. We don't really need a new Phantasy Star JRPG after Phantasy Star 4's conclusion, but I'm sure Sega could find an excuse to bring us back to Algol just because of its shear awesomeness.
About the LUNAR games, there's something you didn't include, see Lunar Silver Star Story and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue (the remakes of the Sega CD/Mega CD games) were originally developed for the *Sega Saturn* in Japan; and those games were only later ported to the first Playstation, it was the ports that got localized into english by Working Designs; now those games being "remastered" and released on current consoles hasn't happened yet because of the complicated stuff about whom owns the copyrights to "LUNAR" in the US. . .
As a longtime breath of fire fan, and someone who went back and actually enjoys what dragon quarter has to offer, I do think that the base gameplay style can work. I love my traditional turn based, but that also doesn't mean that "misstep" wasn't a completely bad one. It will be easier to do something in the same vein as 3 or 4 (both with how solid their gameplay styles are with their aesthetics being timeless), but I'm nowhere near in the same camp that dragon quarter is some mistake that needs to be forgotten in the annals of time. Could make for a fun side series and not step on any toes.
I know some people consider the Xenoblade Chronicles games to be part of the same "series" or something, but I really wish Xenosaga would be reintroduced at least with remasters if not a new game. They were incredible and so unique.
Just bought all 3 for my ps2 after loving all the xenoblade games and xenogears. Can’t wait to start them even though the second game is supposedly shit.
@@TheRetroCleric324 The story isn't terrible but combat is kind of a slog until you get used to it. It's also pretty short at abput 12 hours to play through. But it's definitely worth it for the full experience.

Bro you hit the nail on the head with the Valkyrie series. I'm a die-hard fan boy to the series. I've played all the games(even the phone game unfortunately) I'm knee deep in the lore too. While I so so wish Square would take a page from how Atlus handles Persona's turn base style, I'll support the Valkyrie franchise in any and every way they continue it. I know that I'm basically bending the knee, but what can I do y'know?
Id love a HD 2d remake of Lunar, story wise I feel 1 and 2 completed it. I find it a bit funy that two of the main games I even got a Ds for were flops. Gundam Seed which was advertized for North America suddenly had its release there cancled. Than Lunar dragon song and this coming from some one who is a huge lunar fan was just awful... I do agree the Breath of Fire games seem abbandoned, it felt like they had a really deep story going on with 1 & 2, and 3 was a master piece that I am happy I own. I do think breath of fire could still be revived. Wild arms as well since every game is its own story.
As a .hack fan, I feel like we we've been slighted by Bamco with them really kicking off the SAO games, merch and media. I honestly don't see the hype behind that series AT ALL. .Hack was so friggin' unique in it's story telling, world building, character design and development.. it was really unfair that they let the series die the way it did.
Chrono Trigger is one of the very few games that had sucked me in completely, making me feel a kind of joy I haven't felt when playing games in quite some time. And also what sparked me having another go at JRPGs in general. On another note: I reacquired Magical Starsign today. I dunno which void-rift my old copy slipped through, but I am glad I found a new one for a good price. They could revive the Magical Vacation games too.

Oh you're so right. Bof 1->4 were amazing. DQ was strange but not bad. I wish for a new one in 3D or a remake of any of them !
@@Origynet It would be amazing. When I played 4 I used to think what a BoF would look like in the future. Today what I imagined back then was something like Guilty Gear is now. Not exactly anime, but I high quality 2D like style. That would be amazing.
It just came out with a huge game
Whenever my friends whine about the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, I always tell them, "Could be worse. You could be a StarFox or Breath of Fire fan." And then I weep in the shower for the rest of the day.
@@SamWeltzin so true.
Breath of Fire 100%. Crib a few notes from some more recent games to spruce up the turn based combat. They could even go the FF7 Remake route, with both normal sword and magic gameplay interspersed with the ability to turn into a dragon. As long as the series comes back and reminds people of BOF 3 and 4 instead of Dragon Quarter, it'll easily sell millions of copies.
there needs to be more focus on modernizing turn based combat instead of constantly relying on action based gameplay in rpg's
@@tempestsquall5882 which direction would you go about modernizing it?
Persona 5 especially, showed that turn based still works
Yes I love breath of fire series
Lunar, Lufia, and not a series but needs to be Skies of Arcadia. Shadow Hearts and Grandia are also great. Love the list.

I’m really hoping it does fantastic too! I can’t wait for its release.

@@InsanityForce It was a terrible mini game. I mean I have no skill at golf so putting in a min game based on golf and giving you a limited number of tries would only increase peoples frustrations. I feel Lufia needs to return in the future, sad to see it abandoned and unloved
Grandia's had some of the best battle mechanics ever. I go back to Grandia II and III every so often just to revisit those battle mechanics.

Huge Chrono Trigger fan also, would love a third one.
Me too. Now I'm questioning my preorder. I really wanted an official copy of the release.

What direction do you think would be best for the franchise to make a return?
let's hope the Chrono Cross remaster helps reviving the serie!
Love the fact that I own original copies of 9 out of 10 games. You have great taste.
A little birdie may have told me a few days ago that Wild ARMS and Shadow Hearts are getting spiritual successors in the vein of Suikoden/Eiyuden Chronicle. Check out "Armed Fantasia" and "Pennyblood".
I'd love to see a Nintendo switch port of all the mentioned games and Alundra.
Well there are kickstarter games by both Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts they're called :
Armed Fantasia
Penny Blood
I wish we got another game similar to Eternal Sonata. That game was aesthetically great from sound, story, and gameplay.
If you see this comment and want to join in for one or both games, go back them NOW!!!
wild arms and shadow heart get double kickstarter now , legend will continue
The problems came when they wanted to reconnect the dots back to Trigger.
that last wildarms game's difficulty was so tough right out the gate that after trying it, it spent a few years in a box before I gave it another go.😑
After hearing about the Suikoden 1+2 Remasters for the Switch I have some hope we'll be seeing more.
I'd love to see more Shadow Hearts, even a remaster.
I would pay for a remaster collection. Maybe even toss in Koudelka for nostalgia's sake.
I'm pretty excited to see Armed Fantasia (successor of Wild Arms) and Penny Blood (of Shadow Hearts) are in production.. Hope we can get more from this list..
So excited for Eiyuden Chronicle!
Shining Force 3 Remake!!!
About the LUNAR games, there's something you didn't include, see Lunar Silver Star Story and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue (the remakes of the Sega CD/Mega CD games) were originally developed for the *Sega Saturn* in Japan;
and those games were only later ported to the first Playstation, it was the ports that got localized into english by Working Designs; now those games being "remastered" and released on current consoles hasn't happened yet because of the complicated stuff about whom owns the copyrights to "LUNAR" in the US. .
Severe lack of Shining Force, proper Phantasy Star and Lufia here
I know some people consider the Xenoblade Chronicles games to be part of the same "series" or something, but I really wish Xenosaga would be reintroduced at least with remasters if not a new game. They were incredible and so unique.
That would be sweet. Especially since the 3rd one costs so much.
Just bought all 3 for my ps2 after loving all the xenoblade games and xenogears. Can’t wait to start them even though the second game is supposedly shit.

6:55 The 5th game in the series literally reach #1 on sales charts in Japan and was a huge commercial success, earning it a "best of PS2 (JP GH equivalent)" re-release, it was also well liked by critics. It's also easily my favorite game in the series and I've cleared the game 11 times. The only PS2 I put more hours in that Breath of Fire V was Final Fantasy X.
Erick just doesn't like it personally; so he changes the facts.
@@PS1Fan1991 Seems that way. Hurts his credibility.
@@MistyKathrine It is a shame because it is always good to see people talk about JRPGs that people haven't necessarily checked out from the past or the present.
The true ending of Lunar 2 left me in happy tears, but some continuity to the series should have been made.
Shadow hearts and wild arms are back baby
