The River Was On Fire!!! The Ebbw South wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Dry Fly & Euro Nymphing

Good day on the local with 2x Welsh national champion Kyle Cheshire the conditions were perfect we had more fish on dry flies than nymphs With hatches of bwo and Olive uprights from the get go we was greeted with rising Trout in the first pool, plenty of fish to the net and plenty of laughs too 👌🏻

Wonderful to see a 'valleys' river with such trout and ably caught. I remember the Ebbw fifty years ago a stinking grey flow. Well done lads. I live in New Zealand and am somewhat envious.

- That’s right they used to call it the black river I think, it’s sure has a made a miraculous come back goes to show how great nature can be but I do love these post industrial welsh rivers! I feel the same when I watch videos of NZ fishing is it as good as it looks?😜🙏🏻

New Zealand is great. UNfortunately, due to a boom in dairy farming, many lowland rivers are depleted of water and smaller streams are now dry. There's still good fishing to be had but not always on your doorstep, like it used to be. @@Full_on_flyfishing

Thank you watching and giving great feedback sir!🙂🙏🏻 our nets are modified like most of our gear it is a McLean weigh net handle but with a (coarse fishing) 20” Preston rim and net which suits competition fishing better on rivers as the net is not as deep and is slightly better for not getting your hooks caught in 👌🏻
