Hi again Colin! I've been a patron since about 2018 and have really enjoyed Let's Know Things in particular. As a fellow curious person, those episodes have been fun (in the sense that i love learning about all sorts of things). I also really appreciate your One Sentence News episodes because I feel like they keep me informed *enough* without activating ye old existential dread, so I appreciate that. I would love to hear you talk about the death positivity movement and US funerary practices or some configuration thereof. Since you've traveled to so many places and have seen so many different cultures, I was wondering if this practice of "hiding death" as we see in America is common practice in other countries, if that's catching, what other cultures tend to do, and whatever else you might want to add. Sorry that was long. Looking forward to more!
Hey there! Thanks so much for the kind words and your support! What an interesting question, I love that; I'll think on it and see what I can come up with (also: your comment was the perfect length) :)
I have been following your work since 2017, and i have valued every second of content I've listened to (almost all of the Lets Know Things library and the patreon bonus episodes). I have hiked, and driven, thousands of kilometers with your podcast in my ear. Currently I'm living in Calgary Canada 🇨🇦.
I've been listening to your LKT podcast ever since I first started listening to podcasts in 2016 and became a patreon supporter as soon as I got my first paycheck and still am to this day. Really appreciate the work you do and look forward to what's coming up here on this channel!
Heyo!! I've been checking in now and again into LKT over the years and always admired your consistency, and your very lucid perspectives on so many things. And you're right, I think in this medium including your face makes a big difference. Definitely looking forward to anything you'd do in terms of out of the box projects, whatever that might look like! Keep on doing what you do man!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Colin, I’m Romi from Kolkata, India. I resonate with what you share & that’s one reason why I watch your videos/ listen to your thoughts that you share on various medias. Few things that I do: - Listen to one thing at a time/ do one task at a time - Take breaks & rest just when I feel it’s needed - Take up activities only based on my needs, not wants - Travel frequently enough with a different goal almost every time - Discarded almost 40% of my possessions till date, goal is to stick to the best 5% - Not too fond of social media, yet I understand the importance of it, wish to be off social media soon - Believer of breaking the rule or questioning it, try to experiment if that applies to myself. :- )
Thanks for the intro, Romi! It's been nice seeing your comments around here-I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Great list of habits and focuses there :)
I'm so glad that your videos will be back. I really enjoyed them since 2010 and learned so much from them. Welcome back Colin : ) I used to live in UK but I'm back home (temporarily) in Kingdom of Bahrain. I'm currently PhD researcher (using technology for social experiment/Computer Human Interaction) My question is what do you think about AI and how it's going to impact the creative work? I'm also carious to know which skill in the future will be very important and irreplicable by AI? I love listening to Olafur Arnalds music it makes me alive! It's hard to pick a book but I have been reading a lot of papers to study how we can use technology to create more social bonding in this insolating world.
Fascinating. How do you keep up with yourself? I too have many sides of myself and interests that require different platforms. It's hard to know how much time to put into each project. I just discovered some of your work today when discussing epistemic humility. I'm currently in Utah. I work in AI, and I am finally reading Crime and Punishment. I am at work on a novella. I currently have 2 blogs, 3 X channels, and am going to be starting a podcast soon (addiction recovery).
Thanks for sharing this with me! I honestly just have to make sure to carve out time for all my interests and enthusiasms, otherwise I feel constrained and uninspired
Thanks! Absolutely: keeping it simple camera-wise, using my iPhone 12 Pro w/ Camo Studio, but somewhat fancier in the mic department, using my EV RE20 :)
Thanks! And I do-Aiming for not-too-jittery, but still somewhat off-the-cuff (which allows me to make them faster and more casually, then cut the right pieces together later)
@@colinwright I think you could probably adjust the camera to be just a little bit further away and also maybe a little bit higher (so we're not looking into your nostrils too much ;) ) Otherwise I like it.
Good to have your videos back, Colin! I’ve been following you for years, now, and really admire your work.
Thank you! That means a lot :)
Appreciate all the links to your Socials and Projects.
I hope those prove useful! Thanks :)
Hello again! Staying productive, innovative, and starting a new project! That's our Colin! Good to see you brother!
Thanks very much! Good to see you, too!
Delighted to see you back in the video sphere, Colin. Looking forward to seeing what you create.
Thank you! Happy to be back :)
Interested new subscriber thank you for your quality content and interesting perspective

Hi Colin! Loves the videos 👍 Could you share what kind of camera and mic you use? Looking into something similar like this as well. Thanks :)
Thanks! Absolutely: keeping it simple camera-wise, using my iPhone 12 Pro w/ Camo Studio, but somewhat fancier in the mic department, using my EV RE20 :)
@@colinwright Thx!
@@colinwright one last question.. what video editing software do you use?
@@rileymartin22 I use Camo Studio to record and Final Cut Pro to edit
This is nice! One question....do you mean for it to look so "jumpy" and edited? 🙂
