The artwork for the EDs is done by the guy who does the artwork for the novels that the anime is based on. The author of the novels is a massive DnD dungeon master and basically the series is extremely heavily inspired by DnD story telling and table top role play. A massive world with dozens of characters and multiple races. It's a dark fantasy with lighter humor mixed in. The story gets darker and more violent with each novel though.
Hmmm... what does it mean to be a "massive DnD DM"? Like lol did you accidentally somehow combine "a massive DnD fan" and "a DnD dungeon master"? I mean, unless you meant "massive" as in "really well known"

Just to add to this Overlord as an concept came about because a lot of his DND friends were slowly slipping away as time went on due to life and so on. So the story has got a lot of the authors feelings projecting through Ainz's situation. Ainz isn't a self insert by any means but it does highlight a problem with a lot of friend group activities with how eventually people just move on or drift apart and the last remaining guy trying to get everyone back together.
So-bin is the goat!!! Love the work he did with Overlord.
Overload has probably one of my favorite openings and endings.... Every single one of them is a banger

The people who sing the op in season 1 2 and 4 are the ones who sing the ed in season 3, and ed in season 1 2 4 is the one who sing the op in season 3

Overlord is my favourite isekai anime and also one of my favourite anime of all time.
The best Isekai out there by far(for me). Highly recommend.
Overlord is just genuinely good fantasy show. It was sort of but not really made as deconstruction of "Isekai" genre.
The genesis of it is a whole topic but the end result is an amazing book seires with anime being a good adaptation overal.
Hi JND i rly liked your reaction about overlord... Fun fact for you : same band created opening of 1,2,4 series and ending of season 3. Same band created ending of 1,2 and opening of season 3. After the season 1 ending the singer left band and create own band whitch is singing in season 4 ending. Another fun fact. One interesting spoiler is in season 2 ending what will be shown in season 4 last episode. In season 3 ending is a lot of interesting fact on artwork but you realize them only when you watch the anime :) (about that black strings and darkness)
You definitly need to watch Overlord. It’s very worth it. I started watching and when i was finished, I bought the whole novel series as a result!
All overlord openings and endings are made by OxT and MYTH & ROID 2 very good bands who've made a lot of other anime openings worth checking out
Also for next anime openings reaction i would reccomend fire force openings theyre really great
A splendid reaction as always JND, I love both the Overlord ops and eds, the endings are really a vibe and the music with the splendid artwork has a really deep vibe to it.

If you want a unique experience, The ending credit songs for Chainsaw man. The reason its is unique is it is probably the only show to have a different song and animation for each episode. Each ending is inspired by the episode its associated with, also each ending is directed by a different member(s) of the production team.
Literaly 90 %of anime have different songs in endings

I'd fully recommend watching this series, easily one of, if not the most unique isekai. It's in the category for greatest. Also.the character designs and voicing is incredible
I really really want you to watch re: zero first and it got some amazing openings and endings too so please do next video on re:zero all openings and endings

overlord has the best music the best writing and character growth i seen in anime so if this is your first anime to watch this will set a very high bar
also note that the first 2 episodes are intro episodes so they start you slowly into the world ep 3and 4 give you a better idea of the series
The saga of yanya tbe evil op and ed are fire
please do Vinland Saga Openings and Endings in one video they are soo good :D
Watch this an english dub. Trust me it is awesome And yes can be dark at times.
