This is brilliant. So refreshing to hear someone who can make metaphor come alive so it speaks to the immediacy of the our challenges.

The word of a Persian Poet, Sa'adi comes to mind, here's the English translation:
" All human beings are different parts of the same body, who
Have inherited the same essence in creation
No part will rest in peace
    If one is suffering pain
You will not deserve the name of human
If you are indifferent about others’ pains."

Awakening by facing our deepest fears. The wisdom pattern of death, burial and resurrection. Dying to the old reality that we created of the world so we can be born again. Thanks Michael for sharing ancient wisdom stories for our time. ‘You can change nothing until you have faced it’ - Buddha.

I also would like to ask Michael about the samba song. Can you please sing and teach us to sing it? Instead of 130 people, you will millions of people for this song 😊

The lions natural organizing intelligence and instinctual strategizing also stood out to me. Since many of us have been cut off from our instincts it also makes sense to do something counter-knee jerk- such as turning towards and feeling the hard stuff (the roar). Thank you for all of your wisdom. It's been immensely helpful and even life siving at times.

I loved Michael's talk, as so often. Then looked across the screen to see "Why I, as a black man, attend KKK rallies." by Daryl Davis, a TED Talk. Definitly brings home Michael's concept. Feeling another's pain seems less transformative than hearing their story, in many cases, their roar.

I had an awful awakening before covid. What a 2 years! Some times going the beach and grieving for the Earth until I finished psychologicaly disrupted and feel like diying. Was confusing to me because usually the trauma release was about my parents... I didn´t know we carry such baggage.... still can not explain if it is a collective trauma o we are part of the same conciousness and have acces in me in some metephisical way or is in the DNA. But man! was hell. thanks anyway :)

Yes - "it may be ultimately safer to go towards the roar." I feel this.

Well, I'm 67, literally toothless, my left hand aches with arthritis as I type this...Never got anywhere near rich nor famous, I don't even own my own house. I roar alot, tho, as you can see.
I guess all the inheritors of the Earth need to do when they hear me is -- what they always do now; just say "Okay, Boomer."
Michael, been listening to you (& Bly & Hillman & co.) off & on for 30 years now. You're all right in my book, buddy, I love ya. Now, get outta here...
