This is just her side of the story. But from listening carefully I do not think her in-laws are as bad as she made them either. I personally do not care how other people live their life. Some knows how to live it. Some don't. Me? I just focus on mine and deal it as it comes. But from my personal observation, when someone screwed up their life- they pretty much lose everything. In Hmong, such a person will end up under the support system of their family. Rather the family is disappointed or not in them, Hmong family will still offer some kind of support system. Wow, I can’t believe all these comments. I have a Nyab directly from Laos too. I know she married my brother just to be here. Seriously I have cousins who married their wife from overseas and that doesn't bother me. In fact I kind of feel sorry for my sils because my cousins keeps them lock up most time. This is just her side of the story. But from listening carefully I do not think her in-laws are as bad as she made them either. I personally do not care how other people live their life. Some knows how to live it. Some don't. Me? I just focus on mine and deal it as it comes. But from my personal observation, when someone screwed up their life- they pretty much lose everything. In Hmong, such a person will end up under the support system of their family. Rather the family is disappointed or not in them, Hmong family will still offer some kind of support system. Sounds like they supported him to get a wife overseas through money and very much in regards to paperwork bringing her over. Then they even helped with his kid's wedding and give her and her husband a place to stay free of rent. I can go on base on the other things she mentioned but she seems to discredit his family a lot more than to give them credit for. Even when it came to her MIL she seemed reluctant to volunteer aid. Except she ended up with the job because she was the most obvious one that can do it vs those that are stuck to their job. Sorry to say I can't believe 100% that her in-laws were pure evil.
