This interview truly gives the viewers a true understanding of the author and really opens a true connection with him. I find that Dr. Gerald J. Gargiulo makes such intelligent and analytic observations of his life, which then allows the book to have that much more emphasis. His book Broken Fathers/Broken Sons is a heartbreaking story at times but gives the readers a psychoanalytic understanding on how he was able to break that shell and become what he has today. He is a truly gifted author.Eric

This is a wonderful video, giving us the opportunity to experience Gerald Gargiulo "almost in person", as he spontaneously comments on his insights, ideas and work. His book Broken Fathers, Broken Sons, is a valuable contribution to understanding the value of psychoanalysis. It is a poignant autobiography of a psychoanalyst who has done deep emotional and spiritual work. This highly gifted psychoanalyst, teacher, poet's ability to describe his journey should inspire others on their journey....

Humpty Dumpy was a cannon used in the English civil war in the 1600s. It was positioned on a wall. Its breaking means that side have lost. It's a kind of celebration, like you might get amongst football fans. It's about military conflict, hence Kings men and horses. I think we make sense of things unfamiliar to us by giving them meaning from our own world, which is what he did with the words of Humpty Dumpty.
