@@CurtChambersMusic I sometomes wonder what it's like for an artist to take on another's hit song. Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakum, Willie always seem able to put just enough spin on it but retain the quality. Fantastic version you guys did. It can't be easy handling someone's masterpiece.

Caught this song on the FM radio while traveling up Route One yesterday, the original version. Never had the lyrics spoke so directly to my heart as it did at that moment, thinking of how much of the message spoke true as to what my Father in Law is experiencing after the loss of the love of his life. It pooled my soul up into a puddle of emotions down onto the floorboard of the Silverado, belting out the lyrics myself, so long as the sobs and tears would allow. It's a steep task to tackle a song from the likes of Ronnie Dunn, a complete master in beautifully painting a mournful ballad, with his pen, and with his voice, but this cover definitely does it justice.
Sent goose bumps all up and down my body, especially at the end. I love that feeling; thank you, gents.
