So I’ve given my dolls bangs countless times now but I thought should make a dedicated video on how I give my dolls bangs!
Today I am giving a Monster High doll some bangs and she has Saran hair, Monster Ball Cleo DeNile!
The techniques I use in this tutorial can also be applied to dolls with Nylon and Polypropylene hair, but I find Saran hair to be the easiest if it’s your first time.
This is my style and technique on how I like to give my dolls bangs but like most things, this is all subjective!
My goal is to achieve full bangs while taking a modest amount of hair. I have gotten better at sectioning out hair over time the more I have given my dolls bangs, so with practice and some trial and error you will only get better at this.
I hope you follow along and learn something new!

I just love this tutorial so much. I went out to Joann’s and got myself the exact same embroidery scissors today and some gel and I went for it. I did two dolls and wow. Both had bad bangs and now they look amazing. Thank you for your valuable information! ❤❤❤

I kinda want to do this to signature cleo but I feel like the side part will interfere. I'll probably get this monster ball doll and try it. Or a signiture lagoona. Since I feel like I can make lagoona more appealing to me with a restyle

I have a RH series 5 Kim Nguyen with bangs from hell. How do I flatten them?
Oooh Kim’s bangs are very difficult to tame! With Nylon hair sometimes it’s helpful to get a strip of plastic, I cut mine up from a ziploc bag, and I tape that around the dolls bangs to help them lay flat! And then let it dry with the plastic wrapped and it should help them stay flat, good luck!
Love your video you should also look into getting professional haircutting scissors. They’re very thin and long and use them for nothing but hair and it will make your life a lot easier. They’re super super skinny and long.
Yes I def need to! For bangs I can get away with the small embroidery scissors but for general hair trims I need an upgrade

Can you give dolls without a part line bangs like this as well?
The style of bangs in this video, no :/ Thankfully Monster High G3 dolls usually always have a part line.
For dolls without a part line you can thatch some hair through the hair line to make bangs but it’s a different style/technique.
