As a Calcutta born and brought up who lives abroad now I just say unashamedly Dada I love you. Great fighter like Netaji "India comes first" attitude.Fellow players like Sehwag, Harbhajan, Yuvraj and the rest just adore him. He was a good captain who looked after/backed his players. He was very tough with the opposition fairly though.India was always first for Captain/Dada Saurav Ganguly and I am sure still is and that is called Nationalism. Hats off to him should be a future Bharat Ratna recipient. The great Calcutta test against the mighty Australiains remembered for VVS's 281 and Harbhajans wicket changed Indian cricket for good. It's an interesting choice..Venkatesh Prasad, Syed Kirmani, Ravi Sastri have been flamboyant and classy on and off the field..It's not at all surprising to see Sachin, Kapil Dev and Dravid in the all time Dream Teams but in fact Srinath featuring in both the teams is surprising. Maybe an Agarkar or for that matter Irfan Pathan would have been an amazing choice for the ODIs.. Well Ganguly undoubtedly had to be in the team!!

It's an interesting choice..Venkatesh Prasad, Syed Kirmani, Ravi Sastri have been flamboyant and classy on and off the field..It's not at all surprising to see Sachin, Kapil Dev and Dravid in the all time Dream Teams but in fact Srinath featuring in both the teams is surprising. Maybe an Agarkar or for that matter Irfan Pathan would have been an amazing choice for the ODIs.. Well Ganguly undoubtedly had to be in the team!!
