Dude, Mike Rowe needs to do a documentary on you and how hard you work as a Commercial Fisherman. Your statement about "Too dumb to quit" is a testimony to your commitment to your industry. I so wish I lived closer, Because you would see me every week you had crabs for sale. Keep up the good work my friend. And the store front looks AMAZING, You knocked your stand out of the park.

Absolutely Blows my mind how you do what you do. It's been a blast watching you, your business and relationship grow this past year. Huge Congratulations on a Job.. Life Well Done
I had four crab shedders at my home on the James River for years.I worked a full time job and ran peeler pots in the afternoon. My Dad was retired at the time and he would monitor the shedders while I was at work.I worked them at night. To minimize loss to becoming paper-shells I had to work them every 2 hours throughout the night. So yes,you have to be close to minimize loss.

Luke, put a canopy over your shellers. More may survive shedding if not so exposed to the sun heating the water up too much. Just a thought. Love watching you!!!

There's a special paint for your exhaust wrap that will keep you from getting fiberglass splinters! Also, it's easier to wrap tight if you soak it in water first but yours looks great!

So glad you are showing the good the bad and the ugly of our beautiful Chesapeake Bay. The rewards definitely outweigh the bad and ugly. Thank you!!!! God’s blessings
We have a place on the eastern shore off the sassafras and i always wondered why there were so many “dead” smaller crabs by our shoreline…now I know that they are the sheds! Learn something new everyday
The haves and the have nots...I'd call your lower tank "steerage" like 3rd Class on the Titanic. I would call that white crab "Bodkin Point Blanc". Great video Luke! The professionalism shines!
I grew up in GB. We used to launch outta Sandy Point and crab the Severn across from the Naval Academy. Ran 1500 feet of trot line at the time, remember my dad would have us bait the lines til our fingers were raw from the chicken neck bones. It was the early 90s and we sold bushels of large males for $35. Miss it out there!
Hey Luke been watching you for a while crabbing I'm going to get up there to Glen Burnie one of these days hopefully before the Summer's out or before you finish crabbing and to meet you and the folks

Not a big fan of them but Ill never miss a video you drop, its just your demeanor, humbleness and humility along with your ingenuity that is just so astounding to me.
Watching your videos brings back memories. When I was a kid in the 60s I lived in southern Maryland and we would fish for blue crab right from the dock. I remember when I was about 9 years old going to the crab house and getting a tray of crabs. I was wanted to make it back for a vacation, but never worked out. Now getting ready for my third spine fusion. What company would you recommend for shipping cooked crabs to michigan. It's amazing how much they cost these days. Keep up the great videos, your a hard working guy.
Having too many softcrabs should never be a problem in Maryland. The problem is usually getting the word out of where to buy good softcrabs. Over the years my family have had a hard time finding who has them readily available so I would say distribution is key and you are doing a great job with your marketing and distribution. The only bad part for us is that you are now about 45 minutes away without the bridge. Great video, coming down soon to get some crabs!!
Luke! Im a Florida crabber so i appreciate the hard work you do. Keep up the hard work young man. Oh. We both know its not work. Its the love of the water. By the way. Throw that old bay seasoning away. Garlic blue crabs are by far the best. Let me know what you think. 😂.

Dumb it down for us not in the industry Maybe sombody in the comments can do this? Might make a good video or mid video segment ? Keep going brotha!!!
Hell yeah! Luke have you ever used an algaecide in the fuel tank? i ran it a lot in our tractors in Florida. tanks would grow algae like crazy and cause all kinds of issues. the Algaecide works great! last a long time as well
Always enjoy the videos. These are the guys that should be getting the sponsors and extra from UA-cam. Not the young kids harrasing people. Hats off to your brother.
If you put a ruffer sourface in the shed tank, I think more of them would survive the shedding. On the sea(?)bed they have more resistance when crawling out of their old shell and stuff to snagg their old shell on to
I have a live fish & seafood business & you could make ALOT more money if diversify by buying up the crab in your area & run trucks to the Asian grocery stores from Richmond to northern Virginia.
