@@jd6473 Bro, you out the loop or something? The while point of this series is supposed to be a soft reboot that launches a whole line of new X-Men comics. In the 616. Hickman said that he is going to bring the X-Men back to the AAA status that they had from Clarmont-Morrison era.

@@midnitehour1 so i guess that the big twist is that this one Sinister was born with a mutant power... idk. I always saw his powers as being 1. not born with 2. added by a machine (deliberately) 3. mutant dna sequences which would cause him to be detected as a mutant by a Sentinel as well as qualify him for Wanda's "No More Mutants", also vulnerable to whatever that Terigen mist was doing to mutants. Bartist Clord The book literally mentions that sinister added the mutant gene to himself. The initial sinister we see in the chair says he'd never do that but the real sinister (whom shots this one) reveals that he's added the X-gene to himself

The X-Men prior to Hickman may've been messy, but Krakoa was already a mutant home in the comics. Aaron's wonderful Wolverine & the X-Men had him as the literal groundskeeper of the institute.
The Mr. Sinister with the mutant gene is not the original Nathaniel Essex. Sinister Secret #10 hints that a "brainwashed, mutant Sinister was replaced long before [Charles] knew and has been in on the game for almost as long as the game was being played..." Granted, it's written as a question, sort of like a tag at the end of a TV episode that's followed by "Tune in next week to find out!" So the questions now are: Who replaced him, and to what end? Thoughts?
Isn't that what always happens with the transmode virus? Mr. Sinister cloned them I guess and then they tried to do it with Krakoa while the professor watched!

I love Rob & this is no disrespect at all to him but you have to read this story to fully grasp the epic scope of it all. Nobody can do this justice. House of X & Powers of X are just too amazing.
If I remember correctly, at some point Mr Sinister had created an entire Society of cloned versions of himself. And it was weird because each clone acted independently but also part of a weird hive mind. Some of them were women, some of them were men, and some were children. Also, they all had his Victorian England aesthetic. The "main" Nathaniel Essex was also shown to inhabit anybody he chose at anytime. That's part of the reason why, later on, he randomly shows up as woman when he teamed with Emma Frost.
Umm or he could have just had sex with Multiple Man (star of the last X-Men debacle) and got that mutant gene and told people to keep hitting him so he multiplied!
@@jd6473 LOL no. The implication is that he only wanted to live in a society with himself because that's how big his ego is. In other words, the clones are probably boning each other😂. One of the X-Men made that same implication and Sinister didn't outright deny it. God I need to find this volume. Anyways, the cloned society, originally called the Kingdom of Sinistrus and another version is Sinister Londin. Both have shown up several times in various books pre Secret Wars and maybe 1ce in ANAD or Marvel Legacy.
How much do you want to bet that in the thousand year future they show in the comic, the tenth life of Moira Mactaggert is still somehow preserved or at least her consciousness is in some form for the purpose of having her ascend and integrate with the Phalanx to gain their knowledge, kinda of like what she did when she partnered with Apocalypse in her ninth life?

Hmm, so the Professor X we've been seeing with the helmet is most likely a clone perhaps with Sinister's own genes added. Professor X gave him his DNA willingly in this issue and it would explain why he can walk, why he's so interested in the 'pod people cloning' of his mutants and why in the very 1st issue of 'House of X', Xavier was purposely drawn to look a bit sassy on the page where he says "To me, my X-men". There's also some very interesting information in the 'Sinister Secrets', though I haven't been able to figure them all out yet. Sinister Secret #10 lets us know that the Sinister in this issue that's brain was tampered with by Xavier was replaced and "Has been in on the game for almost as long as the game was being played".

It's Mr. Sassy now!
This is all over the place lol. Hickman is a great writer so I trust he’ll piece it together like he always does.
Krakoa is ancient but not old like "they" (the evil beings) were
Hm, attitude wise, it's like Wade Wilson became Mr Sinister
My first introduction of master sinister Was in the 90s X-Men the Animated serie.Speaking of which Did you hear that Disney plus is bringing back to the 90s X-men animated series with the original writers?
Naw. Its Xavier in Fantomex's body. Read Astonishing Xmen.
