Length of drawer shall put extra pressure on moving part of drawers as there is no support underneath it and may cause problem one day or the other. Pl provide and be safe.
2. The compartment added on one side may be of a two tire style vertically as is done in case of kitchen drawers horizontly. This will end look problem as also provide the lost space.

Actually we use stainless steel rod to support thr drawer...
We have shown that rod in our recent video...SELF DEFENSE IN CAMPING

Keep it simple and share your creativity,no one is perfect, even your car is still unfinished .
You need to understand not everyone can afford a car like you
A couple in himachal has setup rooftop camp on alto800 it's really good check on youtube.
You should visit a wild life park to see the actual situation, all tigers n lion safaris in india is in open jeep
I have been to tadoba and seen local villager motorcycle passing a tiger.
People camp in forest floor
The main threat is human and sorry to say even your car is not safe from human if they want to break in.
