Right On Young Man. Kemetic Yoga will keep you youthful even when you are old like me. Invest in yourself now and it will pay off later.

I'm only a few seconds into the video and I must say that I always come back to this channel bc a lot of other kemetic yoga teachers don't do the poses slow enough for me to keep up with. Also your videos are very enlightening and encouraging. Thx

Ankh and Maat! I am 62 and this practice is helping to reduce inflammation in my body and increase my core strength. My energy and flexibility has increased. Overall, I feel an increase in balance; spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. ❤❤❤🎉🎉

No. In actuality those terms don’t mean much. Sun Salutation simply means you are doing this in the morning. You can create any sequence that will wake you up and help you start the day. You are not literally saluting the sun or accessing some type of solar energy even though some people make this claim. For me when I do the backward bending portion of my version of the Sun salutation, I try to open my chest area directly towards the 12 o’clock noon position because of the tremendous flow of blood, increase in lung capacity and other energetic benefits I experience. These things occur because of the movement and are independent of the sun. If it were night time “lunar” the same set of postures could bring about calming and help me to sleep better and have deeper meaningful dreams. Every Yoga posture you do is going to stimulate the production of various neurotransmitters that affect your mood positively regardless of time of day you do it or what you call. If I had to have a “moon” salutation which means an evening practice it would be Teken Sequence followed by MA’AT Ka. These make sense to do as a “moon salutation” because of their deep calming and aligning effects that appear to help one sleep and experience lucid dreaming or what in Kemet was called RSWT QWED. I hope this makes sense.
