Not sure what what passes as a Mexican restaurants in Australia or you're going to Zack, but the chips are normally served the moment you sit at the table, with salsa as an appetizer while you looks at the menu to see what you order. And unless the restaurant is kinda shite, the chips and salsa are complimentary.

Random Underdogs Obscure Memories (RUOM) 3: In episode 26, Peter had Jordan and Jackson guess what the future 'theme' of music would be. All agreed on the prediction of general "good vibe" music. While it may be a bit early to answer that prediction, we have already seen some signs that they are right with songs like "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus and "Gold" by Loi
Personally do not see flowers as a positive song but that might be because I generally dislike the song lol

1. The quote is actually "you don't win friends with salad"
2. It's not to do with homer being fat
3. Lisa was a vegan that episode, she asks homer to bring salad to the barbeque instead of meat, and he and Bart (and Marge maybe) sing a tune about how you don't win friends with salad

To answer Jordan's tanning question, the goal is not a amount of tanned, it's simply to be tanned. Being tanned is viewed as attractive because it shows social status, that you have enough free time (/money) to lounge about outdoors. It's the same reason many years ago, being pale was seen as desirable, because it meant you didn't have to work outside in the fields. But when more jobs moved inside (manufacturing and office jobs), the thing that was seen as desirable switched, because what it meant to have wealth switched. It's the same reason that being tanned is attractive, but having a "farmer's tan" isn't. A lot of fashion stuff starts off as a way to show off wealth or station, e.g. high heels were started by nobility to flex that since they didn't need to be on their feet all day, they could wear inconvenient and comfortable shoes.
