    After doing my home work for a couple of days I've decided this is the best way to go.i just ordered my lights and battery holder case for a 9v, so it's in closed. The holder comes with a built in on and off switch.coming across this video after I did the purchase makes me feel alot better about it

    I think part of the problems for most rcs is the amps put out of the bec that is built into the esc like for example if you run a whole led kit and a light bar but the bec only puts out about one amp the lights might be power starved but if you run a bec with a two amp output there's a possibility that the leds will be brighter due to having the power needed to run them. However the 9 volts had an extreme difference so it's good for non-functional led kits. This was a great video 🖒🖒🖒

      rc_action_ Thanks for the info. You explained that very well. I am happy with the results and will continue to run them like this unless I need functional leds, like you mentioned. Thanks for watching and for commenting!

      ThatsMyRc the 9v works so well. They are so much brighter and the battery last for a long time as well. Since I made this video I have only changed the battery twice and I run the truck a lot.

    my scx10 light are a good brightness so that it won't hurt the eyes looking at it Lol, I would maybe consider doing this to my bronco body BUT I can very easily turn lights on and off from my dx4c, would definitely be something I'd do on a different project though!

    Can't you hook up the lights directly to a 3S lipo?

    • @flashhobbies
      @flashhobbies  7 років тому

      I could, but I don't always run 3s and even the smaller 3s batteries weigh more than a 9v.

    • @phantommedia9964
      @phantommedia9964 7 років тому +1

      Flash Hobbies oh ok. I have mine hooked up to a small 3S lipo that I Velcro-ed to the roof roll bars, although it often falls off. I'm 3D designing a mount that mounts to the roof so the battery and all the lighting wires r organized.

    They get hot?

  • @addyshimov

    what is the body?

    • @flashhobbies
      @flashhobbies  7 років тому +1

      The body is an axial yeti score trophy truck body. It has been painted to replicate Justin Loftons truck.

  • @RCANTs
    @RCANTs 7 років тому +1

    Why is it dark?lol. I use a Dynamite Reaction 3s lipo for Losi micro on my lights. Much lighter and smaller than a PP3.
    I like the idea though, because pp3 are easier to get and use. thumbs upping.

    Your led will not last for long. If the circuit ic made for 6V you can not run it with 9V.

      3 years and it’s still going strong. 👀
