removing those water shoots is not only much more attractive, but makes the tree stronger and healthier too! I wish the YT mowing people would also undercut the hedges and shrubs too, clean them up at the bottom, near the ground, as well...

I live in Central Coast California, & the many cotoneasters the birds 'gifted' me many years ago, are now monsters, & sport more berries for the migrating cedar waxwings that come feast, & make a mess (meaning more seedlings that I now toss out.)

And they are filling it with plants, parking lots, etc. If you were to see a Japanese house, you would be surprised at how small it is and you would finish the work right away. Exactly using a 🪜. A lot of the Lawncare channels don’t use a 🪜. Using one makes the job better cutting the 🌲
