@@prestonian1066 I honestly disagree, I prefer it to be different rather than the normal really quiet audience, which makes sense for big tournament matches but for something like this I quite like the louder audience

In a format that has seen 14 year olds winning a Frame (match) is this really something that needs to be celebrated like it is a big achievement?
Especially for a professional player... it is just a frame... you could put a club player in that format, and one good break, and they would win...
I like the format for entertainment value, but it is hardly taken seriously.

Lots of people dont seem to be big fans of the shootout format but it’s just a bit of fun one tournament in the snooker calendar that’s quirky and a bit different the only thing I’d say is that maybe instead of the 1 frame they should do a best of 3 frames or something

Its a good idea for a bit of fun, but I also agree with what most say on here about the crowd, yes get involved but some treat it as an excuse to act like a child and just yell out stuff that doesnt even seem to be about Snooker.

Maybe Bingham was having an off day. Unfortunate if so for Evans because it just looks like he let her win due to how strangely he was playing. I can absolutely imagine that being something which was asked of him after the 1 point total between both On-Yee and Nutcharut.
I do hope I'm incredibly far off the mark because if true, the last thing snooker needs is the "Men and women are interchangeable" narrative.

People moan about this version of Snooker, it's embarrassing, it's not not pure snooker blah blah.
Every other snooker tournament is the same: same rules; same dress code; same silence; same players usually. The only difference is it's just a different number of frames to win the match.
This is a break from the norm, and a great way to introduce snooker to non snooker fans. I took my mate who is a non-snooker fan to this last year and he really enjoyed it. So much so is we are going again for the entire day on Saturday. He is also coming to the World Championships in April.

I would like to see WST try other variations of snooker to try and mix it up. There are so many " Open" events that they all feel the same.
Years ago they tried Tenball, was ok, needed a little tweaking, I'd like to see a Mosconi Cup style event between some countries.
