Great great Verdi baritone! A shame that there are not very many live complete recordings with him available - all I can think of are:Gioconda, Forza, Rigoletto & Macbeth. If anyone knows of others, please inform. Thanks.
@@xxsaruman82xx87 He sounds like a heldentenor in hiding to me. A proper one can sing baritone roles anyways, even if it's not the "sweet spot" for their respective voice.
Greek are the best actors in the world. Great Kostas Paschalis was also a great human being.
Great MacBetto in Boston in the 70's. There's a 1973 OTELLO with him, Sandor Konya and Andrea Guilot.
fine!!!

@parsifalito Do you meanthat these performances have actually been recorded & are available? Please provide a source, if so, Thanks.
@DonPaolissimo
And Don Giovanni, Cavalleria , Don Carlo, Simon Boccanegra, Bassariden, Tosca, Carmen, etc.
And obviously Otello
A bit of philosophy:
1) Mr. Paskalis sounds to me like Jon Vickers
2) Jon Vickers is a tenor.
3) Mr. Paskalis was a tenor.
I get where you’re coming from, but Paskalis is certainly no tenor.

:-D you are funny! Paschalis was a lyrical baritone and a great actor.
Wow! Better than Plato.
