Much much better than the stock speedo that I could maybe only read half of the time. My main goal was to remove the big stock air box. To Me the stock air box and the stock header pipe did not look right on this bike. First I tried a Chimura intake system but that damn thing was way to loud. The metal pipe on that thing amplifies the intake sound so much it sounds like your driving around with some big horn blasting all the time. So I planned and made my own custom intake system. lots of bikes have there air filters under the seat. The 2019 MONKEY has a space under the seat for an ABS actuator on the Z125A model. If you do not have ABS this space is a void, large enough for the K&N air filter. The intake under the seat is much quieter, the bike runs great, and the filter is out of the elements.

      SP TAKEGAWA Sports Exhaust, Stock-Look Style , japan.webike.net/ The "Sports Exhaust" allows you to install the stock heat protector and exhaust end to increase exhaust efficiency without compromising the stock style. This is a sports exhaust that does not affect the stock style at all. SP Takekawa's unique silencer structure and exhaust pipe allows for a high exhaust efficiency that is completely different from stock and improves power output performance.

      I agree. I'm about to trailer my 2004 for the first time and found a load of contradictory info/advice on how to tie it down. Some say the crash bars are fine to use others say definitely don't. Then there's the those you say to use the forks or lower triple tree but I can't work out how to do either given all the plastic. Any advice?

    • @mosmotorcyclejourney9067
      @mosmotorcyclejourney9067 2 роки тому

      @@michaelhoare5291 I have trailered 3 goldwings in my time. I have always used 4 tie downs. 1 on each crash bar and never had a problem. The crash bars are made to hold the bike up when you fall so they are definitely strong enough. Then there is the people that tie down the fork area and that is hard to do with all the plastic on top of the fender. 3 1500s and 1 1800 I have transported this way with no problems. The 2018 plus have crash bars covered up so you need to add that stupid hook. I will stick to the 1st Gen and the 2nd Gen goldwings. (2001-2017) be safe out there.

    • @bill4562
      @bill4562 11 місяців тому

      @@mosmotorcyclejourney9067 no, you do not need to "add that stupid hook". You can wrap 2 soft ties around the yoke. It is referred to as "The Yoke Method". It is an alternate tie down method Honda suggested late in 2018 after the 2018 owner's manuals were in circulation. I guess Honda did not want to include a second option when they began including a tie down method in the owner's manual in 2019 or 2020. Honda published the two methods in "The Red Page", an official document from Honda. Your local dealer may or may not still have it in their files.
