I'm a Tech Enthusiast since the Amiga's floppy era when 512k of ram were enought to ensure hours of good gaming and complex games camed in twelve 720k floppy disks.
Nowadays i enjoy retrogaming and new tech from android's minipc to professional workstations, without missing anything in between.
I'm going to upload review, tips tricks and guides.

HID2AMI Connects everything to the Amiga!
This is my quick test with a couple of devices with the HID2AMI usb mouse to quadrature waveform converter and HID Gamepad Db9 adapter for every Commodore Amiga (works even on ataris etc.)
With this adapter, in few words, you can connect almost any usb controller and mouse to any Amiga!

Hello Claudio, thanks for the video it helps. I bought last year the pistorm32 lite with its already prepared micro sd card, fitted it with a raspberry pi3b+ and get an additional great 700Mo fast ram but only a grey screen display with a bird from the hdmi port. What is beeing installed on your system to get a workbench display up and running please? Any feedback is very welcome. Many thanks, Henry

It's a thomson, the same screen used by commodore on their 1901 branded screens.

Does the card strengthen the Amiga version by 0.5 chip or 0.5 slow. As with the regular Amiga 500 or 500plus, you get a 1MB chip? Regarding the Amiga 1000 version. What happens if we pull out the 256 kb RAM extension? What do we get in the Amiga 1000 with the A314? How much RAM and what type will we get? This is important because the ACA500Plus for the Amiga 500 with free RAM turns into a 1MB chip. If you want to use IMP3, you must have 1MB Chip of RAM. Infinity Music Player 3 for the operating system. I see potential here. Internet, music and social chat !
This one for the 500 it's configurable how you preefer with simple jumpers, to have 1Mb of chip ram you may need to mod your machine depending on the rev. of it. The amiga 1000 version will provide 512k total with it's 256k for the machine. The only way to bump up chip ram on the 1000 is using (on the ones with daughterboards) the rejuvinator or with very difficult undocumented procedures on the versions without the daugherboard. For mp3 on any amiga you need an accellerator with at least a 50Mhz '030 and some fast ram too. Have a good day and forever amiga!

Hi there, the emulator is SheepShaver! For an easy configuration, you can try the awesome caffeineOS from Pedro Cotter :)
non capisco perche se ha l'hdmi si devono usare 2 monitors e alcune cose funzionano su 1 monitor e altre sull'altro monitor non ha senso . non puo funzinare tutto su hdmi ?
Per fare quello che intendi bisogna prelevare il video direttamente dal chip denise ed utilizzare una scheda per interfacciarlo con il raspberry, e' una cosa in programma nel progetto, su 600 se non mi sbaglio già disponibile. Ovviamente, trattandosi di un progetto hobbistico, non ce' una scadenza precisa... Inolltre, personalmente, preferisco il monitor crt commodore per tutto ciò che non e' relativo alla modalità RTG.

Right now I've a Pi4 installed, but it's better to use a 3 right now for best compatibilty. :)

Thank you very much for your video. Perhaps a few well-intentioned criticisms. The sound could be a little bit better What is really exhausting, the very unsteady camera work. This constant back and forth, back and forth, the permanent changes of the camera position, are really no fun and unfortunately degrade the video very much. The lighting is also in need of improvement. But these are only technical things that can be solved in an executive way. The content was very interesting. Many thanks for that

Very nice video, especially for it being your first one, and well put together! I have recently received my Pistorm32-Lite, which I am going to use with my Raspberry Pi 4 with the latest emu68 available. By the way, I loved the bloopers at the end hahaha! 😀

This is a good video, I would recommend OBS for capture, as it is completely free with no tricks and Davinci resolve is good for editing and is also free. I didn't get the cable with mine that connected to the IDE port. I assume it isn't necessary, I've yet to set mine up :)

It's interesting, but I always wonder if it's still a real Amiga after such improvements. I always imagine if someone asked about the Amiga on a visit and wanted to see how it worked, I'd have to explain to them that this isn't real Amiga speed. He'd probably be amazed that they still make Amiga accessories these days, but he'd also probably want to see how the real Amiga works and how it worked back then. BTW. There are plenty of free editing programs, without watermarking. Try DaVinci Resolve Free, or CapCut, etc.
we are always talking about a computer that without this kinds of "tricks" would have only been obsolete. The evolution of the amiga after commodore's bankrupt was 100% based on stuff that that enhanced "denaturing the amiga"- PPCs, then "next gen" (totally new machines with almost nothing to do with real amiga if not parts of the operating system) Then in the recent times, FPGAs... The pistorm is now the cheapest and greatest choice, based on raspberry usage. Is it an amiga, yes, a modern one. Is this "an original amiga" nope probably, but it's what the awesome amiga community did to keep the machine usable to the max after all these years. And honestly its awesome, not to forget, that you can always remove such expensions and have your amiga back to roots! :) Thanks for commenting and forever Amiga!
It is still a real Amiga. The PiStorm acts as an accelerator, like a TF1260 would do, or a Blizzard 1230 would do. The only emulated part is the CPU. The PiStorm isn't taking over the Amiga, like a Vampire does.
Thanks for showing the A314 retail boxed version! I am so, so interested in buying one for my Spare Amiga 500 unit in my bedroom. Currently the warranty seal is intact and has an a501 ram card and kickstart 1.2. A few questions if I may ask?? 1. Do I need to upgrade my kickstart to at least 3.1? I don’t wish to open up my pristine A500 low serial number unit. 2. Can it co-exist with my gvp impact series II hard disk drive & 8mb fast ram expansion? 3. I am searching everywhere on the web!! Where can I purchase the retail boxed version ? Who makes them? Any contacts you have? Thanks in advance and may the Amiga love ❤️ be spreading over the world 🌎:)
Thanks for the very nice comment! You should be able to use the a314 without breaking the seal, I'm just not sure about full compatibility with kick 1.2, the hdd and ram can work togheter with the a314 for sure! About getting your card, try hopping in the discord channel in the descriction, I'm sure sooner or later you'll find something ;-)
what accelerator does the 500 have in it? miami deluxe doesnt work on standard 68000 right?
Miami requires a 68020, maybe you could try roadshow... The accellerator in this machine is an hardital bigbang 25Mhz 030 with 2Mb. The Amiga has 2Mb of chip with the a314 2Mb on the hd and 2Mb on the bigbang.

Are you running the pi zero overclocked? How to maintain enough speed to use desktop environment? I mean, I know it can handle that, but it is a bit too weak for it.
It's a stock pi zero 2 no overclock, the faster is the pi, the faster is the experience.
@@-H3li03- I have Zero2 as well. Are you using RTG graphics on Amiga? Through piStorm? what is the resolution of the piOS screen through vnc you suggest? I think it is slow mostly because I am using it through AGA.
@@kratafila On the Pistorm I have a Pi3, 1920x1080. About the speed of the vnc stuff, that's limited by the vnc protocol itself, it's never going to be snappy, the resolution of the pi in the a314cp if I remember correctly it's 1024x768, when used via vnc.

Thanks for the demo, have seen odd bits about the A314 but never a full demo of a working board. Looks great, like the way the Pi is used here, not replacing the CPU like the PiStorm. The RemoteWB is really neat. Would be nice to see some way of using a WiFi enabled printer via the A314.
Yeah, It's a different idea, the PiStorm is an accellerator, this instead is more like an add-on, perfect for a stock amiga! RemoteWb is really cool! About the printer, once setup and connected to your network, I'm sure that with some patience you can set it up! ;) Thanks for watching and commenting :)

I wish people who are doing videos showing Amigas with all this power would do some cool science related or 3d rendering or image/video processing or playing with JWST data type projects. Just seems like such a waste not to do some useful stuff with it. Even cooler would be creating a UA-cam video including capturing the content then editing and things like that.

It's amazing what can be added to the old Amigas these days. Sadly I sold all my Amiga stuff many years ago. Now the prices for them have gone up and up so much! I should mention that the "Pi" in PiStorm should rhyme with eye, high, my, sigh etc... a PEE storm I what you get if your bladder explodes! 😉
ahhahhahaha, very true! You know, in italian its actually pronunced like PEEstorm lol, so thats why I got that bad pronuntiation, will try to get better! Too bad you sold your miggys, now prices are a bit crazy... :/
