Really?
Magenta, possibly fuscia. Thameslink uses that colour in their branding already, but I guess there isn't much room for new colours. If i had free reign and no inhibitions, I'd axe the circle line, letting the District, Met, and Hammersmith and city take over its track. I'd then give a Northern branch the mustard yellow colour. This would match the original City and South London Locomotive, and represent the pioneering use of electricity when it opened in 1890
Orange because no tube line is orange. I like orange is well as all other colours on the Biblical rainbow.
Nathan Line
I would favour orange for the charing cross branch, as that would represent fires that would have burned in battersea power station where the line now terminates.
Smart
Another name for the charing cross branch could be the batterstead linr, to reflect that fact it would serve Battersea power station and Hampstead. I would assign it orange on the map to reflect fire, as would have happened to make electricity at battersea power station before it shut down.
Why do they want to
If it was fully split, they would now need two different identities, and thus a new colour.
I literally pray everyday this never sees the light of day 😮💨 I just want TFL to come to their senses already, drop this Tom foolery & stop attacking my Northern 😤
I have been on the Class 395 Javelin and I have to say that they are so fast and the seats are so comfortable. Very nice trains they are.
I think that Hydrogen buses would be nice as well battery powered buses. Same with Hydrogen trains to replace diesel trains.
While it would mean another name and line, i dont think in practice it would crowd the map at all, given the only sections which would need to be broken apart would most likely be Kennington and Camden Town. Colour wouldnt be much of an issue, because there are solid colours available to use, such as orange (like the pre-overground east london line), purple or lime green. If the colour is clearly distinct, it should be easy to prevent any confusion.
Euston not Heuston!! Lol awesome vid!
So the overground runs under the underground!!!
what do you think of the names that were chosen? and how the new lines look on the map?
with the Battersea extension the Northern Line could very easily be split into two separate lines again. I imagine it'd help a lot of tourists if it received the Overground treatment
yeah i do agree tbh
@phoenixschallert2720 Well it wouldnt be like the overground, it would basically just become the twelfth tube line with separate branding and a new solid colour
It is really a case where they could almost call it the northern lineS, given its almost a network, given it is basically split into branch for all but 2 stations now
yeah literally, most is separate already aha
I love that idea of standard gauge trains being called Overground, and tube trains being called Underground.
They could convert the class 376 to 378 and keep the class 170, 171 and 357
Very cool
The latter mentioned lines are underground services not over ground
great vid!!
I just wish the 710's had thicker seats.
That's because the London Overground used to be the old East London Underground Line
Beautiful Nathan!
The only correct answer is no… I hate that I have to change at Kennington for the Waterloo branch just because Tooting Broadway now see’s majority of its Trains via Bank🙄 Also… ppl just need to grow up lol cause it’s just never been difficult 🤧🥱
Staaaaaagecoach 🙄🙄 Cmon man Team GoAhead 4️⃣ Life 🥇😏 #LondonGenral
London is backwards anyway🤣 (I know it’s because of the old London Underground East London Line) Nice to see you back man!
Interesting information. Thank you.
Your idea of fun facts and mine are completely different.
@@pauledwards2931 and that is exactly what makes the world we live in so interesting 😉

Okay Sheldon 😂 just kidding, great info thank you.

Isn't London just amazing, the best and most iconic transport system in the world ❤
for me i like London united and Metroline
Just found this. Good speaker, explains it clearly. Subscribed
I love you Nathan
It's like a low key network. It can be very useful.
I have enjoyed the different fleets and liveries (although we could have had that under nationalisation anyway, e.g. the NSE days). Another fun thing was the different uniforms: Connex staff originally had to wear these little french hats! And SWT guards took strike action (partly) because of the bright red waistcoats they had to wear!! 😂 But overall I'm gassed about renationalisation 😊
Interesting. Are you sure it is causation or correlation?
The last time I was on a bus in London. It was one of them bendy buses lol. I prefer the tube.
the bendy buses were amazing
Hey Nathan I heard that Lewisham Shopping Centre is Getting knocked down In 2026 For new 1700 Mew Apartments in the old Shopping centre site
yeah i’ve heard about that too !!
Royal mail? You mean network rail
nah royal mail, google it !!
Always was obsessed with the ALX400s and the Metroline Plaxton Presidents
rail privatisation has been a disaster. all the dividends leaching out of the system and the Roscos ripping off the taxpayer
Bus 211
it’s cost the tax payer a fortune
I can’t lie I would prefer long videos but if this work for you that’s great. I don’t really end up watching all of them though just one and not the rest
Enviro 400 EV’s are my favourite buses as well 😊
they are great !!
