It was easy to carry on duty and off duty. We switched to the Sig P229, which was heavy to carry. Detectives had the option to carry the 6946 or a single stack version, I forget the model number.

I bought 2 brand new 070 for my beretta and glock. Great holsters. very good looking. They do take FOREVER to break in brand new. I had to use heat, hair dryer, stuff the gun into a plastic bag before putting it into the holster to expand it.

The problem with these pistols, what really killed them, was they got a bad reputation very quickly when people realized just how inaccurate they are. Maybe they're fine for police who are mag dumping on a guy from 2 yards away. But my dad bought a 411 in 2000 that he got CHEAP, like $300 and it was NIB. I took it out to the range and couldn't hit even hit the paper with it!!! I adjusted the sights, nothing. Got closer, like 2 yards away, adjusted the sights again. Ok. Backed up to 10 yards, still couldn't hit the paper with it. It was just throwing rounds everywhere. Total, utter GARBAGE. Every other pistol I could keep everything in the X ring at 10 yards. My Browning Hi-power, my 1911, P38, Beretta 92, S&W model 57 and Walther P99. You name it. So the problem wasn't me. You gotta think, if they were as good as people say, they wouldn't have died out. People always come up with that "Glock killed it everyone wants plastic". I don't buy it. Did Glock kill the Sigs? Did it kill the Beretta 92? The CZs? 1911s are as popular NOW as ever before.

Those were the days. I bought a Uniden 900 MHz digital. Not spread spectrum, but single 25KHz wide channel. I would like to analyze it with SDR and wireshark someday. Headset is MIA

to this day i still use a 900 mhz cordless phone i rather use that than a dect phone plus i use cb radio for warning people of severe weather

The best place to listen for phones were apartment complexes. Lots of phones in a small area.

if you want to increase the range on the scanner connect a wire from theground on the bnc connector to a ground stake.

I have learned that the date on the midway package is for inventory purposes only it doesn’t indicate the manufacturer date. So my guess is once these hammers run out it’s done. Also many people who buy 3rd gens probably don’t need to replace the hammer so many hammers still in stock.

If you have a problem with skip-shooters, or you think what you hear on 19 is unintelligent ... the real problem is not channel 19 - it's you. Stop mud-ducking to begin with on 19 or any other channel, and you will not have any problems.

The skip talkers used to be respectful of CB 19. Now it sounds almost the same as channel 6.

Everyone complains about Mud Duck...but no one says nothing about 001 in San Bernardino in the Walmart parking lot or in the garage running his head all day and every day with his stupid sounding laugh and his Texas Star 667 and his queen sounding Malibu horn!!!

My dad's buddy gave me nice bearcat 6 like that bottom one. It goes through the channels little static when turn up down probably dirty. But overall nice shape. I don't know if any crystal in it. I haven't fooled with any crystal since my e rc days. Old radio. 80s maybe some earlier 90s mostly old stuff then to. . I know different frequency. I think i know. 😂. But same kind of crystals? Cool radios. I might try get this one going or swap it for new programmer handheld, maybe base.
