Dude I just need the drums and I got a version of this song I been playing. I just play along with iTunes. I been wanting to create music but I can only play the guitar. Learned by ear and tab never taught. Dont have a clue what I’m doing. I do have logic X 10 though I’m so lost.

I keep trying to find How Tos on simply recording real-time playing and all the videos are instructionals on how to record and trigger patterns. Can someone make a video on simply recording the keyboard in a "capture what you hear" environment? For instance if I play a 3-4 minute piano instrumental I want to record all of that into a track and save it, then go back and add drum, strings, effects and other tracks to it later if I want while I hear that instrumental playing underneath. I dont want any looping and I have no idea how long my instrumental will last. It might be 3:45 or it might be 3:53. I basically just want a track to record me playing with no bars or loops. This seems like the most obvious use of the sequencer but nobody is explaining how to do it.

Max, what position should the switch beside the analog filter in effects edit default at? Mines is always open however if I press the analog button the filter light comes on but doesn’t work until I close the switch? If I then turn the filter off the sound is muffled with the switch closed and the filter off. Can you shed some light for me?
