Rather than using RATCHET STRAP....use automotive BRAKE SPRING pliers, did on mine and it was quick and easy from left side of bike. Hook front springs first then use pliers on rear ones. EASY PEASY.
that spring nothing ever made me that angry got up today had a coffee thinking its a nice easy 10min job how wrong i was the more i couldnt do it the more angry i was getting got it in the end but it put me in a bad mood for the hole day
ratchet strap to pull the spring back is genius!
if you paid more than 5 bucks for that.. you got ripped off...LOL
Bought one of these - along with the Barons rear wheel pulley. What a difference it made to my VN900 Custom, it was a great investment without a doubt!
I see you use all the right tools then? (a file on a penknife?🤨)
Crap video
Hello friend, could you pass the ebay purchase link?
Thanks. I hope your bike has seen road time since putting on the center stand because that underside is (was) super SUPER clean.
Do not watch this video if you intend to do the job correctly
That was a great idea, thanks for posting
Mine came with them but I took them off. They kept catching my leg when I was pulling away...
It was a torque wrench 😉
I bought a Motion Pro Heavy Duty Spring Puller for $16. Mounted the stand on the bike first, then springs. The springs took about 10 seconds for the narrow one first, and then about 30 seconds for the second fat spring (it took me two pulls to get it hooked on). It's amazing what having the right tool for the job can do. 🙄
As a silver level kawasaki technician. This is awful.😢
This two left handed genius routed the horn wires between the mounting bracket and the engine guard. So, the connectors are squeezed between two solid metal pieces. ”Nice” touch, I'm sure the vibrations did the rest.
Its not "Rocket Science" I fitted a Center Stand to an old 1970's GT550 without the aid of a manual. It was a lot wider than the one you fitted, and I did not need to remove any of the four pipes to install it. It was just simple mechanically logic, the only thing I had to wrestle with was the return spring, but I got there in the end.
I think you’re talking mA. 1A is a lot…
Yes - thanks so much for posting this - I will have to do the same soon and your video is a tremendous help!
Big thanks for the tip for fitting the spring. I was thinking how on earth to get this in place until i found your video👍👍 I used a thick steel wire instead of the shoestring. Now my Aprilia Tuareg 660 has a nice center stand.
are you sure you put enough grease on it though?
Your video is the best so far.... plenty of light so we can see unlike some of the other videos on this subject ..
you should watch some vids on how to do this ?
tank you for your help !
Not enough grease...
how can I buy? where is it sold?
Hi, your 2 tail side-reflectors are red... But, red is ONLY for the backside of a bike. Yours must be YELLOW.... Check other bikes..! Kind regards Berlin-Germany 🇩🇪
I did not use the bolts supplied under the headlight. I found it impossible to fit. Cut some longer bolts down to make a stud. Put nuts into the frame first and screw the two studs into the two nuts. I used lock nuts. Nyloks. This then gives you two hanging studs two offer the frame up to. Then put on another lock nut to hold the frame inplace. Its fiddly to get a spanner inplace but easier than trying to locate the nuts bolts spanners and frame at the same time. Note. t=The studs can be longer than the original supplied bolts.
Sweet
One additional reason why I am very cautious when purchasing a used motorcycle for several reasons, and many of them are demonstrated right here. Sanding metal parts?? NO!! Fine steel wool and a some thin viscosity oil like ATF or Marvel Mystery. I could not even get past the sanding part.
What phone stand bracket do u have, make a video pls
How many liters volume does it have? Givi says 10l in the title then they say 15-19l in the description
Where did you buy the saddlebag guards?
Great video. I bought a new scooter and the center stand spring is not connected. I've watched several videos trying to figure out how to do this. This seems like the best solution. I hope it is a solution. I'll try it.
What is the diameter of the NC fork,on the part where you put the protector?
What size is that pulley nut??
27 mm
@@Leftycraig48 thanks
Very helpful thank you. The tip on using a ratchet was justbwhatnI needed.
Did it make the highway rpm’s lower?
I think it is really good advaise
I put a msr fuel bottle
I could not understand why they gave blue ink with extension. Realised it was loctight after watching your video
What a very good clear review ! Explaining the mounting system and what comes with the panniers ! Even after 3 téléphone conversation with the team in England they made me no wiser that the mounting brackets came with the panniers. Thank you for your brilliant video.
That's an excellent design. It will lift 1100 lbs. with no hydraulic jack. You can also use your cordless impact gun to raise or lower it.
Derpa derp derp
I wish I could find these!!
🙄
6 years ago and I still wish I could find same ones for my '01 800
Right?!
Thank you from KSA.
I like your idea and plan to do the same to my NC, when I buy one.
Great job, did it level up the seating position at all im thinking will it stop me sliding into the pretend tank, thanks
