Another sweet video of Chum Salmon Fishing! Gil caught a nice Coho Jack as a bonus!! Short video comps only as the GoPro battery didn't last long. As a result, couldn't get too many catches on video. #fishing #pnwfishing #salmon

FYI: A lot of fish? Only 1 fish was caught in this video. And where do you see kicking of the fish? Had pliers in my wader as well. Always try to be respectful of the fish and environment, but thank you.
Thank you for this amazing video. I have hope now. I did not know this was possible. Thank you for sharing this .
130 very good subscribe and share
awesome you can catch such big fish i love you so much.
Looks like you caught a lot of fish. It would be a lot cooler if you released them without kicking / dragging them 100 feet over the rocks. Pretty sure WDFW requires you to keep em wet if your not killing them. A 10$ pair of pliers on the belt will go a long ways to reduce your impact on a fishery that might not be around forever. Tight lines.
Beautiful Steelies and nice catch guys!! I need to catch my first steely lol. I catch salmons on the rivers but not steely yet maybe because I was skeptical if there is steelhead on the river 😂 What were your setups? And sizes please! Thank you!
cool vid bruh chum underrated love that action
Nice fish!! 🎣

Just say no to combat fishing!
I'm still trying to catch my first fish and would appreciate any advice as far as setup, location etc... currently have 20 lb Mono with 1/2 or 3/4 oz float down to rolling swivel and 15lb Fluro leader. Seen long leader and short leaders. Usually run 3ft leaders without success but reading 6 feet is better? Orange or pink Corkie / soft beads with yarn on a 1/0 or 2/0 hook? Please help :)
@edwardwayne5149 Your main setup is great! I would change your leader (rule of thumb; leader line (no bigger than 12lb) as long as your fishing pole). Hook size I would do 1/0 no bigger. As for corkie, soft beads, or yarn (just do a combination with 2 items). I hope this helps. Good luck!!!!🥰

Wow. That's amazing. How do you all fish without tangling each other. It's tempting to try fishing and even drive 1200 miles to do it next year.
You should definitely come since next year is Pink Season! Every cast you’ll hook up a fish!!
Elbows and assholes. I live here and hell nah
What a nightmare of a spot tbh
@@JimboTheMick It's a fun spot if you know what you're doing!!! If you know you know😅😉
@lamichaelspnw Don't get me wrong, seems like awesome fishing, but all the people would just completely ruin it for me, personally.
Where at the Puyallup is this
River road
That spot needs a few dozen more fisherman! 🤣 You gotta love it when people think a single stretch of water is the ONLY place they can hook fish. _I call that 'combat fishing' and I'd rather buy fish at Safeway then deal with all those bone heads stacked like sardines._ #NotForThisGuy
Agreed 1000% It takes all the fun out of fishing.
The laws in Washington limit the amount of public access on the rivers. People tend to bunch up near hatcheries, in parks, etc. Used to live in South Seattle (Renton) and did my share of combat fishing until I found places to escape the crowds. Now I am down in Eugene, where the river access laws allow for more public fishing space on rivers and lakes.
Fishing is supposed to be relaxing thing. I live in Troutdale and and would rather stay home then go any place where I'm within 500 ft of another fisherman. This requires me to travel away from the city center, or go out on the worst of days. In my eyes? To protect my sanity? It's a small price to pay.
@@MaizeANDBlue1957 Agreed. Used to pass through Troutdale to get to the Sandy years ago.
I used to fish the lower part of the Sandy, but on all but the worst days I find it too crowded. These days I wander up above Dodge Park. I prefer more room because I'm a fly fisherman. I try not to be snobby, but I do find bait fisherman don't understand the space we need. I might start at one place in the river and slowly work my way down 100 yards or so. A lot of guys don't understand how fishing for steelhead with a fly works, so they'll plant theirselves just downstream from another fisherman, not understanding that the fisherman plans on working his way through that very water. Maybe it's because of my old age, but I just cannot stand being around people in the Portland area. Whether I'm at the grocery store or in the river, it just rubs me the wrong way.
This is a fkn joke fish trying to spawn and u fkn idiots pulling them out that many of you makes me laugh

Ik It’s probably her first time but you gotta teach her to not drag the fish on the ground and step on it harms the fish and salmon are a tag fish so teach her please or a fine will be coming
Great job!!! Very encouraging, for women fisherman!!!!!❤
Bro she fought that thing like a Pro! Wow.. new subscriber bro. I sure miss the pnw .
Appreciate the comment! My wife is a very experienced fisher-woman! Always gets lots of action, catches big fish, and is usually the only woman at the river. I definitely learned from the best. Thank you for watching!
Congratulations Gil !!! Fish On 👍👍👍
Nice to meet you on the river today 👍😀 Fish On 🐟 👍
Great first timer reeling in the Steelhead! Definitely not an easy task.
Thank you....definitely not easy, but was lots of great fun!!!
Gorgeous area. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here.

Porcini usually refers to those in the boletus genus (specifically boletus edulis and boletus rex-veris. The ones in your video look mostly like the leccinum genus (very nice ones though).
Wow can I email you and ask for more info? Would love to find these! Have never seen so many 🙀
Wow what county is this in Wa?
Wow be careful the deer will you omicron!! Jajajajajajajaj
Thank you, we'll be careful ❤
Leave the root in the ground! Do not kill the nature!!! Man!!!
With these we have to leave the pores instead of the stems. We do our research before we go out there and fine mushrooms. 🙂
Why don't you cut directly at the very bottom of the stem? By just pulling out the fungus like that you are destroying lot of mycelium.
It doesn't really make a difference.
Hey LaMichael. Lots of mountains in Washington State. Would you narrow it down to one for us?
It's everywhere where there's a hiking trail. We hiking all over Washington. You just have to look when you go hiking 😊
Look at the vegetation and surroundings and replicate it. Huckleberry/blue berry, pine, hemlock, moss, bear grass. Probably 2500ft+ google hikes in an area close to you check elevation/pictures of the area even. Keep an eye out write down where when and what you find then on to the next spot until you figure it out. Trial and error, so many factors.
Отличные грибы. А это где территория. Лес красивый. 👍
Just so you know, porcinis do not harbor Covid so you can probably take the masks off.
Masked or not great video
Great job, especially this season. The Summer was very unusual and has made for an odd season this year. Nice to see people doing well (you are doing more than well).
Nice video.
Don’t really want to pile on but.... the masks. What the heck? Anyways, really great video. That was a banner day you had. Great job. A very fun day to be remembered. Keep up the good work.
