My name is Alex Rich and I live and work in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I have a background in chemistry, construction as well as bodybuilding. When the pandemic hit the country and all were faced with lockdown conditions, fitness goals had to be met in a different way. I was inspired to create a line of weights to use and sell at an affordable price in the midst of the price gouging and long wait times of most other fitness companies. My line of products is an adapted answer to a need that most gym goers are experiencing.

Is there anything to do to prevent them from breaking when they drop?
That’s why I used fiber reinforced concrete and added more wire mesh. You can add another layer of wire if you want. But also when lifting you won’t ever be able to drop them like metal plates
That type of scale has a memory if you weigh one right after the other with out taking out batteries the weight will stay the same
It’s 2024 and plate weights are still expensive. I ended up printing my own molds with my 3D printer. Turned out way better than I would have expected! Taught myself how to do every step. I can print any design, literally anything on both sides of the weight
Looks pretty good but I suggest weighing the dry mix then add water to the mix to get more accurate weight because 48.8 is not the final weight. after a month or so they’ll be a pound or two lighter once its fully cured
Good idea overall, but next better option is to use rounded plastic jar, which is rounded on top and bottom and leave it to for good finish surface. I made two, just pick some stones from local river, they are about same density as concrete. I make handle longer and fit stones in between. Very sturdy weights.
How do you make the mold?
Dope video
Brilliant idea with pvc and hot sand 👌
El hombre que hizo 2 discos del mismo peso a la primera 🙏
what price. cost lesses or more then metal. rubber most expensive biggest get same weight but drope them.
im think make mine out oak wood burn marvel charters on it.
Great video...very professional....how do you put the name on the plate....do you engrave it or paint it?
Thank you! I spray painted it them with a stencil
Good
Will you .ake a video showing how you made the molds
Hey man great work. Question are you still doing this? And how can I contact you for a consultation?
Outstanding
good job bro
Can you make a video on creating the round form?
brother can you show your mold please
Great video. Looked like you were making mud pies 😁 Just kidding. With the price of the plates I’m getting as much information I can get to try it. Thanks 🙂
Thank you so much for this video. Your content is so helpful easy to follow. I have a question because I do not use kettlebells, but is this 40lb a practical size? It looks so big , I don't know if it would be too big, especially for a shorter guy as myself. Can we add something to the concrete to get the weight at a smaller size?
how does it stand when deadlifting?
How much do you sell the plates for?
How much if you don't mind my asking please? Thank you so much
Great idea and as a woodworker it double as a project weight during glue ups!
Alex!!! Long time no see. Great recipe. What type of workouts are doing?
What is the measurements of the rod and the pipe inserted on dumbles
dude you dont look well around the eyes your pushing yourself to look like something your genetically not , you are a ectomorph or ecto meso(maybe even endo dont know what you look like as a kid ) ,nevertheless you wont get the results you think , and its thinning your hair starving yourself . on top of that your going to end up with some crazy injuries not e=giving your body what it needs to repair itself , im sure you have tons of pains in your joints
Diametre and high of discs?
so whats the thickness of those 45's??? 3 inch ? thanks for sharing...
Thank you so much , I always need new recipes.
That's more accurate and precise then many case iron plates
You’re badass man great video
I appreciate that!

thanks for the feedback
Wow it's fucking amazing , thanks bro 🐁💎
Glad you enjoyed it bro!
how long have you been vegan for? may i ask if you track your macros? ,i get around 140-160grams of protein eating vegan and am wondering how my numbers compare to other vegan fitness/bodybuilding people. I could probably get more protein if i wanted to but i only eat around 2300 calories as i am cutting rn.
right on man, that sounds like a lot of protein for that amount of calories, I don't normally keep track of macros day to day, but what I have noticed is that when I just focus on eating as many calories from whole foods as I can and not focusing on protein specifically I do better with digestion and it has been some of the best gain periods for me. Which I've heard from other people, that suggests that protein macro by itself is not the limiting factor in making gains but digestion, rest and carbs are important as well if not more important. hope this helps
Equipment is really expensive so this is how we’ve been making our weights in Africa.I remember growing up almost everyone had these.People go to the gym more now.Great video.I like working at home so I’ll probably go old school.
That's awesome to hear Trigga, thanks man!
Cool
He makes weights but he don't make gains
Haha, trying my best bro! I started making weights to help those who still wanted to workout/stay fit when COVID first hit. Share your fitness routine, if you don't mind, about how you put on muscle!
Hello man, I am trying to do these concrete weights, but I was wondering if you could provide the diameters of each weights? You only mentioned 45 ones that it's 17.72 inches
U have to go through pmc English for your improvement. And thank you❤
What is PMC?
anyone has a link to the free e-book?
That's how a gigachad is created, pumping concrete!
lol you know it!
You should coat the plates in a rubberized roof coating. It would help prevent chipping on the edges and make plates have a easy grip surface.
Great idea!
Hah, yeah just like the top comment, I put on your concrete weights video just to have something to watch while I was strolling along on the treadmill, then was like hey wait a second, this guy is plant based, too? Hahah. Great to see you have done so well on a plant based diet, and yeah people like Simnett and Hench Herbivore are definitely the guys to follow. I have been vegan for like eight years now, and for me staying lean was the issue; it always comes back to calories. Oh, also, I used to have awful eczema all over my body, too, right from being a child through to my late teens and early twenties. Changing my diet totally cleared it up too, after years of being told like, drink goat's milk, or eat more fish. Going plant based works, and I don't even need to use any of the creams I had to use in the past. Anyway, great video man; thanks for uploading.
So awesome to hear man, Glad you've had success with it!
Damn bro I look exactly like your before photo, if you could go a little more into detail on what you leave I’d really appreciate it! Thanks man! Great vid
yeah bro, Glad this spoke to you. I've been trying to brainstorm what my next video on this should be. Something like a normal days eating for vegan body recomposition.
