DHT Nursery / Farm
Приєднався 14 лют 2016
We are a plant nursery, we grow vegetable starts, bedding plants, hanging baskets, along with some other plants, trees and flowers.
We also have a small market garden. We grow a variety of vegetables that we sell at our local farmers market. We use organic practices, and deep compost mulch, (no till practice) and some homemade fertilizers. Watch our channel and learn how we make it happen.

Things look great!!! I'm collecting leaves now from the side of the road. I love when people clean up and bag them for "me" lol
It definitely makes it a lot easier that way for sure
@dhtnurseryfarm5793 absolutely! I love this time of year. LOL
yummy stash for the winter!
Yummmmmmmmmmm😮😮😮😮😊❤
😂😂😂😊
This is the first year that I actually had a big enough tomato harvest to freeze tomatoes later for canning. I'm just going to can them whole. Next year, if I get a good harvest, I will try salsa. :) God Bless!
@@JamieE76 cool, that’s awesome, it feels good putting all of that food away doesn’t it?
@@dhtnurseryfarm5793, it does. :) Little by little, I've been trying my hand at canning. It's gone well so far. I'm running out of storage space for filled jars, so I have to get busy building some more shelves in the basement.
@@JamieE76 awesome job
Thank you for getting the word out! I donated to Samaritans Purse a few days ago, and ordered some things off the Grindstone Ministries Amazon list to be sent. People are going to need help for a long long time and it's pretty evident that our federal government has dropped the ball once again. I'm going to keep donating money whenever I can for the foreseeable future. God Bless!
@@JamieE76 hopefully a lot of people help what they can and when they can it is going to take a long time to get them back to good
Awesome!!! Best of luck! You definitely inspire others. Thank you!
@@BuddyCarchide Thank you my friend I hope you and others get inspired and grow more and more! Thank you!
@@dhtnurseryfarm5793 we definitely are!!! Thank you!!!

@@GenAcres sorry about that, I’ll try and remember to. Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it and I like to hear the little things that will make them better too. Thank you!
I'd be honored to buy some trees from you in the spring!!!
@@BuddyCarchide not sure I’ll have any but I should have some raspberries, and hopefully some other plants.
@@dhtnurseryfarm5793 just let me know when you do.
@@BuddyCarchide probably next fall but I will let you know for sure
Try two pairs of pliers to pry the chestnut burls apart. They need to dry out a little before they will release the seeds.
Very cool. Ive never grown horseradish
Super easy to grow and really good 👍🏻
how many degress?

My Lettuce won't seem to germination, whats your secret?
@@epicninjadraweryt1922 in the ground or in seed trays? Either way you need to keep it moist, in trays I put vermiculite over the seeds to hold in moisture and keep them covered, in the field you have to make sure they don’t dry out. It could also be the seed isn’t really viable. Good luck hopefully this will help you. Also give if a week or two don’t give up on it
Life goals!!! You're doing great!!! I know things can be tough, but you're doing it Right.
@@BuddyCarchide Thanks my friend, that means a lot!
The deer devastated mt asparagus this year . They just ate the tops out
@@harryhatz9846 wow never have seen that before wow. How are the raspberries doing you got in the spring? Did the deer get them too?
Raspberries are doing good.Seems as tho the deer haven't bothered them.
@@harryhatz9846 good hopefully they leave them alone and you have a great harvest next season!
Why aren’t there more likes on this
@@tw1tch6969 what do you mean?

It can if you don’t tend to it properly, so can raspberries or strawberries
Do you sell any horseradish root by mail? I am SO in need of some to add to my kitchen garden- have had to buy store bought prepared stuff now for the last few years!😭
@@julimartin3312 we do but we have only sold to locals but we will be putting some on our website soon.
Harvest in the months ending in R. September, October, November and December. Once harvested we peel, shred and add to food processor. Pulse several times, add dried cranberries, salt and apple cider vinegar and puree til smooth. Great on steaks, pork chops or as a sandwich spread with a little mayo.

It hasnt. But morons still think climate change is a political hoax.
it's usually a 7 year cycle. The news will cover the drought as climate change. 3.5 years from now, the news will cover the flood as climate change. Our lake across the street has it's ups and downs on a 7 year cycle since the 50's when my parents built our home there.
I know we are in a solar maximum now and as far as being 3 weeks with no rain we’ve had that nearly every year but just not in the 90’s for weeks on end. We have droughts and heat just not at the same time that’s all I’m saying.
